Mile High is currently closed so we were not able to have dinner there. We also have a Groupon for them which we may not be able to use. Neither the restaurant nor Open Table contacted us about their closing. If we did not check their web site prior to going there, we would not have known that they are closed.
It appears they had staffing issues and have closed to restaff and train the new staff for a better dining experience. While I applaud this effort, we should have been notified of their change in status. The restaurant says they expect to open again in October 2016 and will honor any Groupon's that have expired during their closing.
I'm hopeful that this is the case but in light of their previous performance I'm suspect.

The restaurant was closed and had been for several weeks per the notice on the door, in checking their website there were issues they were trying to correct. They plan on reopening in October which will be good as we have a groupon that has expired and they plan on honoring it.
My question is how a reservation could have been made, accepted and verified.
We have dined there before and it was a wonderful restaurant but I gave it a poor review - not for them but for Open Table. Not sure I would trust using your service again.

We had gotten certificate a groupon certificate to use. We were not able to make any reservations before the certificate expired due to unavailability of any openings.. Thankfully, groupon extended the deadline date for the certificate to use. We made reservations but due to a conflict had to cancel. I was not able to make reservations again through open table. I went onto Mile High Steak and Seafood website to look at reviews to discover that this restaurant is closed for an indefinite period of time. If we had driven there it was at least a 45 minute drive and I would not have been happy to discover it was not open. I feel that this restaurant had an obligation to call people who they knew had reservations and tell them not to come. It is supposed to reopen at a later date. I will definitely tell the manager I am not happy. They did say they would honor any expired groupons at a later date.

We booked this restaurant for our wedding anniversary dinner with OpenTable 10 days before the reservation for 8/20/16. We received the reminder from OpenTable so imagine our surprise when we arrived and found that the restaurant is closed with a notice on the door advising that it is temporarily closed due to staff issues. As there were no other cars outside then I assume others new about this. However we have had no communication from the restaurant regarding our reservation. Needless to say this 46th wedding anniversary dinner did not turn out as planned - we had dined at the restaurant a few months ago and were returning as we really enjoyed the food and ambience for a special occasion. We had no reason to contact the restaurant or look on their website as we made the reservation through OpenTable.

We were unable to dine at this restaurant. We received a call that our reservation was cancelled by the restaurant because due to a loss of most of their kitchen staff they were closed and would remain closed for the forseable future.

They never cancelled my reservation. When I arrived there was a noticed posted that due to a loss in employees they will be closed until more can be hired and trained.

I make a reservation and it was confirmed with open table. We reached restaurant and found a note on door saying that restaurant was closed. How embarrassing and awkward. Someone should have notified me.

We were extremely disappointed. We have been fans in the past, but our experience was awful. Our server was friendly and apologetic, but we were brought spoiled oysters that looked as if they had been shucked days prior. While most of our issues were with the kitchen, even our server should have recognized (smelled) that they were bad, the whole dining room did. The wine we ordered was not available which wouldn't normally be a big deal, except neither was the bone-in ribeye and the boneless substitute was not of the quality we would expect. I had a filet, and it was dry and completely unseasoned. We made grocery store steaks a few days later and were much more impressed. Considering all of the mis-steps, we would have thought some sort of offer might be made... "Let us buy you dessert...." Additionally, the hostess kept dragging cleaning supplies through the dining area and windexing the front door the entire time. Huge, huge disappointment. I understand they closed only a few days later and I'm not surprised. Only wish we hadn't been able to get a reservation before that happened.
This wasn't worth it, even with a Groupon.

Stakes Ordered 1 medium, 1 medium well, they both were red to pink except 1/4 " on outside.
Both baked potatoes were cold and I don't mean warm they were cold.
Waiter was not friendly. Prices outrages for what you get.

Service was excellent,food --appy very disap. had esgargo (dry) Veal Oscar it to was dry not much veal.
My wife was not to thrilled with any of her choices. WE'VE been to Mile High a few times ,if it was not for a gift card given to me ,I NEVER WOULD HAVE CHOSEN MILE HIGH.Spent 150.00 bucks had 1 drink.Way over priced.

very disappointed with this restaurant. Went on recommendation from a friend. The good was good, but not great. The prices were high for the amount of food. the service was ok.
My family takes a restaurant that charges on average $40 per meal seriously. We were dressed up very nice. the ambiance was terrible, and the clientele was dressed as if they were going to a BBQ

We arrived for our 6:30 reservation and were told that it would be a few minutes bc the host "had to find a table" for us. Twenty minutes went by so we took a seat at the bar and ordered two glasses of wine. About 5 minutes later we were told our table was ready so we asked tol he bartender for our check. He promptly brought it but then never came back to collect the card so we could pay. I went to the table and my husband eventually just paidwith cash and joined me since the bartender didn't pay him one bit of attention again. Another 10 minutes or so until our waitress showed up and took our orders. She said she'd be back with bread. She never came back. I asked the table next to us how long they had been waiting for their food and they said over an hour. As I looked around the restaurant almost no one had food on their tables and quite a few people were complaining to their servers. We decided to leave. Waited another couple of minutes to let our waitress known to cancel our orders but she never came back so we just left. Very disappointing.

We never received our food after an hour of waiting for it. After an hour of not being checked on by the waitress she finally came over to apologize but it was too late. We left the restaurant after being there two hours and the experience was horrible.

Service was awful. Had to wait 90min for our entres. Server never refilled drinks. Apitizers were cold and poorly presented. Entres were prepared incorrectly, asked for rare filet and received extra well done filet. Broccoli was mushy and cold and lacked flavor.
My guest ordered sea bass which was over cooked and cold upon arrival. Presentation was extremely unpleasant, it appeared dry and grey in color. Vegetables lacked flavor and textur, but were hot.
Desert was fair, chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich.
Only positive was that the entire meal was on the house. The owner "Chris" recognized what we were expiriencing and took care of the bill.

It was worse than poor--- It was terrible..... We arrived at 6:00 pm and waited several minutes to be seated. About 10 minutes later a server took our drinks,appetizer and entree order. About 15 minutes later our drinks arrived. After 30 minutes passed by I asked if there was a problem in the kitchen and was advised there was a new chef on duty and things were running "slow". The couple at the next table told us they arrived at 5:30 and were still waiting for their entrees. I make reservations early to avoid driving home after nightfall. It was very apparent we would not be served in sufficient time and I informed the young man at the reservation desk that we were leaving. He apologized for the delay and took my name and phone number.
Normally I would not soon go back but I have several "BOGO" cards and I want to use them as quickly as possible. I only hope that my experience is not a indication that Mile High has serious problems that will lead to their closing before I can use my certificates.

We have been to Mile High many times over the last 6 years. This was by far the worst experience we ever had there. The waiter told us that the kitchen staff was short 2 workers. We arrived at 5:30 and didn't leave till 7:30. We ordered two appetizers and only got one. I noticed that almost everyone in the restaurant were waiting for their main course. Our dinners arrived at around 7:10. My baked potato was cold and not fully cooked, the broccoli was cold and raw and the prime rib had no taste. Many people left without being served.
Mile High always had great food and service. It's really gone downhill. Don't think I'll ever go back. I don't mind paying for a good meal but McDonald's might have been a better choice for dinner !!!!!
I never write reviews, but this was so bad, I had to voice my opinion.

We used a Groupon to dine here and I'm really glad because if we spent over $300 for the food quality and service we received I might have lost my mind. The waiter coursed our food so slowly that we were there well over 2 hours. That might have not been so bad but he never came out to see if we needed refills. Our entrees came out with dried up sauces and heat lamp scorched mashed potatoes. WILL NOT be returning. Brandywine Prime just 5 minutes down the road is cheaper, more eclectic and much better quality.

The food was great. The service was TERRIBLE. our waitress made us order our appetizers at the same time as our dinner. She said there was a group coming in for dinner. This was on a Thursday night! Not even the weekend!!! The server was a short older lady. Every interaction we had with her , she was rushing to get away.

We have been dining here for a few years. This was the worst service ever! 2 hours on a random Thursday evening. It should never take that long to get entrees. No one even asked how we were doing or apologized for the wait. One steak entree was ordered medium rare and came out well done twice. It's not that difficult to cook a medium rare steak. Totally unacceptable and we won't be returning.

Our server was great. She was kind and attentive. The restaurant was just starting with a new cook and there were issues all around us, so it was a bit distracting. My husband's meal - steak - was cooked perfectly. I ordered the Seafood Grill mix. It was ok. The presentation was not the best and I wouldn't order it again. For the price, I was not impressed at all.

I understand that the menu is being changed. perhaps the chef needs to be changed. The rack of lamb, although it was a nice size, was not seasoned well at all. The broccoli parmesan had no parmensan on it and when the wait staff was questioned, she apologized and brought out a bowl of the cheese for our use. The sauce for the lamb was heavily laces with worchestershire sauce; perhaps mint jelly would have been a more appropriate choice. I really would have to think twice before returning although happy hour just might work.

I would call it upscale but not particularly romantic nor would I call it a neighborhood gem. Good bar but not "vibrant", at least not on week night. Food is very good, especially the Filets, but this time my wife's came out Medium rather than Medium Well. I was personally disappointed in the Veal Oscar and would not recommend it. Appetizers and desert were great. All in all, I will continue to recommend it and go back again.

I wish we had gone on another night. It was a Sunday night & there were many tables with kids. All but one was table was well behaved. That table had kids shrieking & running around the table pretty much the whole time. The mom took them out multiple times but you could even hear them screaming on the way in. I found myself eating my food quickly so we could leave faster. Disappointed but not sure what restaurant could have done other than move them to another room.

Very disappointing. Overpriced for the quality of food and ambience. Won't be back; we'd rather go to Sullivan's where the food is better and atmosphere is more upscale. Our server was great, though - attentive, nice and professional.

Had high expectations due to colleagues recommendations. There to celebrate boyfriends bday. Both of us thought food tasted very bland, portion sizes were too small.... salad should have been enclusive with the entree.....overall very dissappointed.

We were seated in the noisy bar area for dinner after making a reservation a week in advance so we never saw the dining room and piano player. Service was slow and unimpressive. My $50 steak was average at best but my wife's entrée looked very good. The $200 romantic dinner for two was spoiled by the atmosphere, service, and my mediocre dinner. The appetizer that we shared was very good. Not a memorable evening.

Excellent service and very good food. The prices are pretty lofty but if it's a special occasion the atmosphere makes it worth it. The service staff was friendly and attentive. The piano player on Saturday is a nice touch.

I just was not at all impressed with the food, the ambiance or the service. I have dined at much better places in the area for the same prices. Pescatores, while not a steak house is close by and is well worth the price. Sullivans right across the border in Delaware is where I would send you if you want a steak house, or down the road to Harry's.

I will not dine here again and I don't suggest anyone else does the same even with a discount coupon.

Great neighborhood restaurant in the heart of the Chadds Ford Historical Area. Always has creative items on the menu in both the steak and seafood arena. The moment you walk in the front door you are greeted by a warm and friendly host and of course the owner Chris who actually takes the time to stop by each table to make sure your food is cooked to perfection. We were there with friends and of course we had the service of Cecilia who has the most wonderful personality on the planet. Cecilia always gives you a suggested wine pairing for your wide array of entrees. We each had outstanding appetizers both fresh seafood and salads.
We had both the lobster and a wonderful cut of filet and a nice size helping of red snapper. To top this off the owner us free desserts of blueberry bread pudding, delicious donuts and key lime that just melted in your mouth. Mile High goes High again on our list
