Mildred's Temple Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
Beautiful space. . Wait associate was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.
Food was very good . $16 for 3 pancakes is good for a treat. We unfortunately found dissapointing the scone and biscuits. Not light or fluffy but dry and crumbled upon impact when trying to cut it. . Won't order again .
my husband and i were disappointed in the portions, we both found them to be very small for the price my husband especially was hungry after dinner--i have diabetes my blood sugar went very low after the meal so i was disappointed too--because we had such a long drive we will not be back to try second time which we invariably do when we like the restaurant even if the meal is not to our standards we will try a second time
Mildred's Temple Kitchen never disappoints!!! The scone & biscuit are to die for! The Huevos is the best in the city! The mimosas are always yummy! I have been a few times now and everyone that has dined with me has agreed that it is a must have place to check out!!! Making a reservation beforehand is super helpful then you don't have to wait in line!
We were looking forward to coming for a while after seeing Mildreds online. We went Monday at open and there were two other tables.
Service was okay but not always around. The coffee was good however the London Fog was not. As for the food the pancakes were dry and underwhelming despite the liquid it was drowning in at the bottom of the plate. The eggs benny was okay but lacking on the bernaise sauce as there was barely any to cover the eggs. They also got the order wrong when brought out and had to send it back.
Whilst the service was a little slow... we had a great time, sitting outside was a pleasure.
We all enjoyed our meals and I have never been disappointed with the menu at Mildreds.
Mildreds is still the neighbourhood gem amidst the many breweries and sports bars in Liberty Village.
Mildreds is chic, casual and unique . I recommend it.
It was the second day of their new menu. Creative flair. The duck and waffles is a must try. An explosion of flavour. The Ginfizz is our go-to cocktail. So good! Ambience was perfect. Exactly what we wanted for a perfect evening and dinner. Service was spot on and recommendations were great. Thanks for a great dinner experience MTK.
Our first time there.... it was wonderful. The pancakes were amazing... not to mention the apple butter with the scones! Our server was informative, kind, attentive & very good with any requests we had! ( I can't remember her name, but she was a sweet Irish girl) overall, it was a great experience!
I had a get together with a friend who came to visit Toronto, first time for both of us at Mildreds Temple Kitchen and we enjoyed very much. The staff were friendly and accommodating for my 2 month old baby girl, really appreciated where we sat. Customer service was top notch and our waitress was friendly. The aesthetics of the restaurant was very earthy and inviting. Overall will be coming back with my husband. Thank you for the lovely experience.
We were seated for our reservation, however was not greeted by a staff member until 30 minutes after being seated. We had made a reservation as a few of our colleagues had a meeting to return to at the office. When our orders were finally being taken and we had expressed the time we needed to leave, the waitress suggested we all order salads to get our food faster instead of apologizing for the delay in being served. In addition she said she would speak to the kitchen and see how quickly they could rush our food. After an hour of being seated our food had still not arrived and myself and a colleague had to leave back to the office. Our waitress also never came back to give us a status of our rush request. The restaurant offered to deliver our meal as well as deduct payment of one of four meals on our bill.
This gesture was appreciated, however we were unable to eat until after our meeting. This was two hours after we were seated. Additionally the food was cold by that time.
I had really high expectations given that I live and work in Liberty Village and there are few eating options like Mildred's in the area. I was very disappointed by the service and do not feel comfortable recommending Mildred's to my colleagues and friends.
A remarkable B'lunch!
I had been visiting from Scotland and staying with my girlfriend's family for the past two weeks in The Junction area of Toronto , in appreciation for having me I decided on the last morning of my trip to bring them to Mildred's Temple Kitchen for B'lunch.
Our greeter and table staff were very pleasant and happy to help. There was a very short lag time between arriving and being seated even though we had a reservation. And the bill almost took a little longer than the food to arrive, however I can appreciate it was a very popular place at a busy time of day, so with that considered the staff did very very well.
The food was excellent, a great selection, accurately described on the menu and fantastically exacuted on the plate. The scones and pancakes, I had a little taste of, were made to perfection. I opted for "the manhandler" sliced steak on sour dough with arugula topped with 2 fried eggs, with fries..... Oh and rosemary bacon on the side. It was truly delicious. Everyone else in the group enjoyed their dishes as well.
It was a very high quality meal and I was expecting to pay a high price for a group of 5 but it was very very reasonable. I'd recommend Mildred's Temple Kitchen to anyone who wants a first class dining experience, in a stylish and relaxing contemporary space, where the food takes centre stage.
I was hesitant to order the salmon as I had just returned from Alaska (not a cruise) where I enjoyed much great salmon. But the dish was scrumptious and ate every last bit of everything. We were a bit indecisive and asked a lot of questions. Service was very attentive and patient. I had not been for awhile as there seemed to be a period around 2-3 years ago where the food was a bit disappointing. I am considering returning in the next week or so.
Food was superb, pancakes and bacon were to die for. We were a large group - there was a mistake with one meal so it ended up coming very late but the staff was great in handling the delay - threw in extra sides which we didn't mind. Overall, highly recommended. Everyone was pleased with their food.
Beautiful restaurant, attentive service and consistently delicious food. We celebrated a friend's birthday and they brought a treat to toast her special day (without needing to remind them - a note on reservation was sufficient). I will continue to recommend Mildred to friends/family/guests.
