I thought the food was amazing and despite being really busy they found a way to ensure customers were well entertained as they waited for their tables
Food okay but not great. Maybe an off day. Portions unexpectedly small, ended up ordering biscuits to fill us up. Maybe just what we ordered
Busy, and noisy. Instagramable but not much more. The food is good, but service struggling (this is my 3rd time eating here that the server didn’t pay attention to my allergy concerns, once resulting in needing to administer epinephrine). The only thing I now feel comfortable eating here is the pancakes. If I was to review just them, it would be 5star across the board. Sadly this isn’t the case. In the future I’ll be ordering pancakes to go and enjoy them on the comfort of my home without the loud ignorant people and absent minded although attractive enough servers. If you’re looking to take some photos for Instagram and you don’t care much about your food or service, then this is definitely a good place for you.
Staff are lovely and as helpful as they can be, but very busy. The food arrives promptly and is some of the best brunch food in the city. Also, their lattes are amazing!
Everything was perfect except the food took more then an hour to come. Left us hungry for quite a time.
I love this restaurant. The duck risotto was perfect!! A wonderful experience every time!
We had a wonderful birthday celebration at your restaurant. We didn't feel rushed, noise level was fine and the food delicious. The space feels intimate despite the large room and high ceilings. Outstanding food.
Always great food (went for brunch) and spacious and very accommodaying as we had 2 strollers with us.
As always - a "treat to go to "the Temple."
Service and dining at Mildred's is always a special occasion.
It seemed that they were either short staffed. Only 1 server for about 8 tables. It took very long to order. At least 15 mins until after we arrived for someone to ask if we wanted a water. Took 50 mins for our dinner to arrive. A supervisor did apologize 35 mins in after we asked for the food. He said they were plating the food and would take 3 more minutes but it took 12 mins. Why lie, I can see the kitchen & plates being brought to tables? If we didn’t ask about the food, no one would have noticed if we didn’t say anything which was the worst part. The restaurant was at 60% capacity so I can’t imagine how it operates at 100%, if they can even manage that. They offered complimentary dessert but we were unhappy about the whole experience no amount of house made profiteroles could save that dinner.
This place has been a disappointment before. I was hoping it would get better....
Always a great experience - I used to eat there weekly but since moving it has been less. It's a place a miss very much. Great food, service and caring staff. Miss you all - Mary Darling
Me and my friend went to Mildred‘s for her birthday. The service we got was excelent! They made our visit a memorable experience :) ! Thank you so much!
Pablo made our experience even more exceptional than we were already expecting. Friendly staff, good food, great ambiance.
Had a great time hanging with friends at Mildred’s, the wait was definitely worth it and the staff was kind! I was able to get an array of food for a good price :) Definitely recommend the grilled cheese sandwich and their signature Mildred Pancakes 😍
Make reservation if possible, very busy during lunch hour. The blueberry pancake is definitely a must try!!
As always, great food and service. Mildred's Temple Kitchen never disappoints. one of our favourite places to eat in Toronto.
Mildred's is a favourite place for my family for special occasions and when we are going out with friends. The food never disappoints and the coffee is great!
Service was very good. Meal was ok. Blue berry pancakes, which they are renowned for, were good. My issue is value. 3 x 6 inch diameter pancakes with a tablespoon of whip cream and a table spoon of blueberry compote with a view of train tracks for $16.50 is criminal. Food cost for this meal would have been approximately $1-1.50.
Server was amazing! Knowledgeable, nice and smart! My experience woh her tops any other server I’ve had in the past!
Great service and food !
The gnocchi poutine was outstanding! My friends and I had a very relaxing dinner...the food was so tasty and the service was excellent.
The pancakes make the haul over to Liberty Village worth it! I recommend them to anyone and everyone who will listen
The staff should know better...
My wife and I went for brunch this morning. Everything was great until a pair of early 20 somethings showed up at the table next to ours. Within minutes our meal was ruined by the loud tinny sounds of a rap video being played on one of their phones at full volume. Once their food arrived, they propped up the phone and couple were eating and watching this video the entire meal. Our server was very polite overall but never once asked them to turn down the volume. I finally had to say something to the couple. These morons didn’t even react or apologize but simply turned the volume down a few notches but continued to watch like they were at home on their laptops.
The policy at Mildred’s Temple Kitchen should be clear. No loud cell phones at the table. Ridiculous!
Lovely decor, nice size portions and attentive wait staff.
I'll definitely visit this great restaurant again!
Always so Delicious!
The most amazing place!!! Love love love the food, staff and atmosphere!!
We had a FANTASTIC server. Loved him. Unfortunately I forget his name but he made our visit :)
Went here for Winterlicious, had the lobster tortilla soup, duck & waffles and the bread pudding. The soup was spicy and caught me off guard. There was nothing too special about the soup, and I couldn’t taste the lobster what so ever. The duck & waffles was ok. The duck leg was a bit dry and I thought the waffle was really soft. I also just thought the raw-ish egg yolk mixed with the blueberry chutney was a bit too much (since the egg was raw and the chutney was really sweet). The best part of our meal was probably dessert. My friend and I both go the same meal and we both agreed that our bread pudding was the best. It was hot and the ice cream added a creamy taste, which I liked. Our server was nice but he didn’t check up on us too much and wasn’t very engaging while he constantly checked with the table beside ours. The only other thing I liked beside the desert was the environment. I really liked the interior of this restaurant and the layout of everything, which was very spacious. I think I would be down to check it the brunch at this place but other than that I probably wouldn’t come anymore.
As usual, the food was superb and the service excellent.
I did notice that our coats were left with us this time, not checked, and that the faucet in one of the washrooms wasn't working, but I forgot to mention it to the staff. Otherwise a fabulous lunch.
Best food and staff in Toronto ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Service is great - friendly, approachable waitress.
Food was good, although some mixture of flavours are a little too adventurous for my taste (beet + blueberry + ginger/marmalade glaze on top of waffle)
This restaurant never disappoints. We came in for Winterlicious; their menu had great choices. Good value, excellent service, always good food.
Out of 4 people, who had appetizers, main, & dessert for winterlicious. Only 1 person thought their main (duck) was okay & 1 person liked the dessert (bread pudding)
I came here with my boyfriend for Winterlicious. We got a lot of food for the low price of $33 and we left stuffed!! The food was on-point and really unique flavours. The service was okay, he didn't come by a lot... we filled our wine glasses (which is perfectly fine, I'm just used to servers being on top of this). We had to wait a while for him to come at the end of our meal, which was annoying. The restaurant was a little bright for a Saturday night vibe. I would have preferred the lights to be dimmed. But again, the food was AMAZING. Still thinking about those duck and waffles.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Mildred's Temple Kitchen on Saturday. The staff was exceptional - from the hostess at the front, to our server, to all the support staff - friendly, knowledgeable and obviously all working to ensure that our experience was amazing. It was!
Ordering the duck and waffles was a brilliant choice - can totally understand why it is considered a signature dish. It was delicious. All the plates looked good and tasted even better. We had some fun trying some of the recently handcrafted cocktails as well.
Thanks to Mikhail for coming by at the end of the night to ensure we had enjoyed our meal and talk to us about coming back when the patio is open to enjoy the oysters. We're definitely coming back!
Huge thanks to all the Mildred's Temple Kitchen staff - all of them succeeding in making our date night wonderful.
The service was great and the restaurant has an amazing atmosphere. The food was good as well, and it was plated very nicely
We had the winterlious menu and we were satisfied. Great value, great portion and very tasty apps and main. Desserts weren’t as good as the first two courses but still ok. Service was good. I am thinking about taking my family there next time.
My husband and I really enjoyed our Winterlicious meal here. The duck and waffles were divine! The appetizer wasn't as good (I got the chicken liver pate with pear chutney and the combination was a bit strange). Other than that, we got there at a perfect time before it got busy so we enjoyed the space.
It was good.
