Milano Ratings and Reviews
The food and service were excellent!
The music was much too loud and we could not visit with our friends.
When our waiter asked the pianist to play softer he said no.
Quiet background music would be much better.
We will not go back if the piano player is there.
Cafe Malano is always a great place for a get together with friends or for a romantic meal with a date. They offer a creative menu cooked with quality ingrediants by a capable chef . they also have a decent wine list that will meet with most wine drinkers approval. one of my favorite places to eat in Houma.
Never again will I come here on a day like Valentines Day. I expected it to be busy, yes. BUT, it took an hour just to place our order. Our waiter paid little to no attention to us (even though he had to pass by us constantly). We spent another hour waiting on the food and it was cold when it got to us. For the price of the meal, it could have been better. Fair warning, don't come here when it's busy.
Valentine's Day dinner. We sat for two hours when the waitress mentioned that she forgot to put our food in. Okay, so mistakes happen. Then, however, they didn't expedite our food. No one other than the waitress came over. People who were seated after the mistake was uncovered got served meaning that they didn't even care enough to put us at the front of the line in the kitchen. Reservation was for dinner at seven. At 9:40 we left with no entree service. Food (appetizer and salad) was good but there is a reason that on Valentine's Day they were at 60% capacity. I think I know why.
Incredible ambaunce, incredible food, exceptional service. The duck wrapped in bacon was amazing, the bacon had just the right crisp and the duck was perfectly cooked to not get rubbery. The Cesar dressing which I assume is an in house recipe was wonderful. The ribeye that I ordered was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten and my wife said he chicken parm was the best she had ever had! I will absolutely go back to Milanos.
I have been to this restaurant several times and it has always been a good experience. The restaurant is clean with white table cloths and the atmosphere quite pleasant. The menu is great with many choices and everything we have tried was delicious. We will definitely return. Highly recommend!
The food and the service were great. The live piano music (Christmas tunes) was a nice touch. Our waitress, Victoria, was very personal and attentive to my wife and I, although she had other large groups to wait on at the same time. We will certainty return to this fine restaurant as well as tell others about our experience.
Milano is fantastic! I really liked the new menu and the ambiance. Our server, Gina, was truly a professional. Not one detail was omitted. Her recommendations were spot on. The wine list was well rounded and offered something for everyone at our table. Best Caesar Salad in Houma!
The food was excellent. Although I thought perching the mini-wheels of goat cheese on my salad was a little lazy and they lacked that goat cheese taste that complements beets, the beet salad was otherwise what I expected. My steak was cooked correctly and had a full flavor. The pork belly appetizer that week was fantastic.
The gin and tonic was perfect, although I wish they had Plymouth Gin.
The server, Kathryn, was great.
Overall I was a happy camper, and Milano is an excellent little restaurant for Houma, LA.
