Have always had a good meal, been there maybe 6 or 8 times total. Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff
It was lunch and I am vegan. I had the portabella sandwich with extra pesto on the side and no mozzarella. It was delicious. My husband and mother really enjoyed their meals: the pasta was fresh, and the soup disappeared in short order. The wine was good. I had the Jamaican coffee for dessert and shared it ! Fabulous. Restrooms clean and pretty, easy to park.
Very great service! Beautiful place and ambience to dine in!
Food is average. I had a risotto special which was nothing special. Prices have jumped into the $30 range. I am not complaining regarding the prices as long as the value is there. It was not! My wife had a fig salad which was good. Her entree was a mushroom ravioli which was ok. Overall dining experience was ok but nothing notable. Service was good.
We had a high top table for four. The food was excellent and service great!! We all enjoyed our experience and will return again soon!
Great local place in a strip mall! Very creative Italian menu, fresh, home-made and delish!
Would absolutely dine here again. We were visiting from out of town and if we lived local - this would be our 'go to' spot.
Lisa our waitress was very friendly and knowledable regarding the menu.
Food is always good but expensive for the quantity. Service was spot on. This particular visit we were seated at a table that was squeezed in to a space right near the kitchen entrance and another table. Very cramped.
We returned to Milano's for a second Valentine's Day celebration. We enjoyed it last year and thought we'd try again. Last year we arrived and were surprised that they were offering a fixe Pre menu. At the time I suggested they announce that on their website as I have some food issues that limit my menu choices. They liked the idea but this year it was the same story. That being said the menu was very good as was the food and the service. Again this year while seated very close to the couples on either side of us we made some new friends and even exchanged email addresses.
We enjoyed our evening and will try to go there more often.
Food was good, the service was exceptional.
Lindsay and Rob make this place feel like a second home. Kudos. Don’t ever lose them.
Absolutely never disappointed at Milano. God and service both excellent.
Always delicious. Fresh. Beautiful plating. Perfect al dente pasta every. Single. Time. Lively seasoned meat sauce. Perfect texture gnocchi. Patient and efficient service. LOVE Milano’s!!!
We all had great meals on a busy Saturday evening. We will definitely be returning for more delicious food soon!
We've been to Milano many times, and the food and service are consistently excellent. We had pizza and salads. The salads are excellent, fresh and creative in their use of ingredients. The pizza has an outstanding crust, and is very tasty.
The food was delicious and our server Robert was very attentive.
This is one of the better Italian restaurants in the Capital District. This was our first visit, but it will not be our last. The wait staff is attentive and the Italian specialties that we ordered were well-prepared. I highly recommend the arancini appetizer. The restaurant is centrally located and there is plenty of parking.
The Tonno salad never disappoints. Lovely lunch
Was getting together with my brother and his wife from Chicago.. we had lots to catch up on and our waiter never rushed us.. we had a wonderful time enjoying a well paced meal and drinks.
Nothing special. Meal was just OK, ordered the red snapper special and the plated meal presentation was terrible. For the $29.00 price tag, this meal was disappointing
Hadn’t been for a long time, the remodel is nice, but staff is indifferent, food was nothing special.
We had not been to Milano in many years (do not live in the area). We decided to go back when we were in town and were not disappointed. Not many restaurants maintain quality and reputation for 30+ years but Milano certainly has. We had a great meal in a comfortable and elegant yet contemporary surroundings, good wine and good dessert too. They were able to accommodate my gluten-free requirements. I recommend you give them a try.
Milano is a great place. The service is good the food is great. the menu has some nice options and the specials are pretty good. I would recommend it.
The food was good but nothing special. It was quite overpriced. A handful of gnocchi with meat sauce was $14. By the price, we thought the salads were entree size, but we were wrong.
We were celebrating my wife's birthday; she has an allergy to onions (and the onion family), which the waitress very capably discussed with the chef to ensure that her order would be onion-free. The service was excellent and the food was great. Milano's is one of the real gems in the Albany area and never disappoints.
Wonderful dinner. My wife and I even struck up a nice conversation with the couple sitting next to us. Atmosphere was pleasant. Would not hesitate to return.
I have always enjoyed dining at Milano. Over the years, I have brought my family members to Milano, some of whom are world-travelers and have dined in very fine restaurants. They , too, have agreed that Milano is a great place to eat!
Our server Jay was very attentive. He made sure I didn't forget to bring home my leftovers. The food was delicious. We dine here frequently and have always been impressed with the food and service.
Modern yet cozy decor/ atmosphere. Nice variety of food and drink options. Pizzas are delicious, also had a seafood linguini- delicious. Filet mignon prepared perfectly. Waitress wonderful. Also there in Spring for graduation dinner with a group, great time, great food.
We arrived for a noon business lunch. As I found the noise level louder in the dining room I asked to be seated in a quite area at a height top in the bar area. Without getting into too much detail our waitress repeatedly felt distracted when we were asking questions about the menu . She indicated that she wished that she had more time to chat but she’s got to wait on the other tables in the dining room. She returned to take her order and my business partner had made a remark about the menu again and she mentioned that she’s very busy on the other side of the room. Twice she mentioned her busy tables were in the dining room, as if we were an inconvenient table. I specifically asked if the Kobe beef was Japanese or American and she said your dining at Milanos it’s the best witches commendable but not an answer to my question. So I ordered it anyway, medium. My partner ordered a margarita pizza. Butternut squash‘s was a little bit heavy but delicious. However my Kobe burger was well done burnt on the rims. I did try a small bit and was not impressed. I did not want to order another dish so I decided to eat the margarita pizza. Normally margarita pizza is served with crushed Marinera fresh basil and fresh mozzarella. The cheese was yellow which was not fresh mozzarella maybe a little basil just maybe in the tomatoes were cut in quarters. Overall I expected more upscale experience. Very disappointed.
It was a Friday night out with friends. It has been a long week for the four of us so what better place to relax , but Milano's. We started off with a bottle of Chianti Classico Reserva for $40. Our one friend likes white wine so she had a glass of Riesling for $10.25. We did not have any appetizers so we ordered the following entrees . Two of us a pizza. One was the special and the other was their spicy sausage pizza. Both were $16.25 a piece. My wife had the pasta with shrimp and our friend she had the salmon. Presentation for all all entrees were done nicely. There was an issue when another wait pewrson brought two of the dishes over , but the pizzas were not ready. What happen, by accident the other wait person gave my wife and the other female in our group somenone's elses food. Our waiter Rob was not happy, but took care of the issue very quickly. So because there was this little issue Mialno's gave us free dessert for our table. Rob is a great waiter. Friendly , efficient, and of course professional. Frank is a great manager and knows how to handle any issue to make his customers feel that they are important and not just a person sitting in a seat. Friday night was very crowded, but the kitchen was cranking out the food perfectly. Please give Milano's a try. They have a Loyalty Card where every $350 you spend you get $35 off the bill. So for my group of four we had $70 taking off our bill. Milano's is my wife and I favorite restaurant to go to and to have the Loyalty Card is like icing on the cake.
It’s our go to restaurant. Consistently good food and great friendly waitstaff!
It was ok. More expensive than I thought it would be. The food was ok.
We go to Milano's on a regular basis. It's a great spot for a date or to meet and dine with friends. The staff is warm and friendly, the service is always exceptional and the food is consistently good. The menu offers a nice variety of choices and the daily specials are always tempting. They have a great wine list and offer numerous quality wines by the glass. Overall, MIlano's is one of our favorite restaurants. Highly recommend it.
Consistently great - we ordered the halibut special entree and a glass of Sancere. Totally perfect. Our evening started at the bar which was lively and fun
I have been here many times. But it did not hit the mark this time. The tuna tartar was chopped up raw tuna no flavor no seasonings. I used the pesto olive oil on the table for flavor. Duck was really really dry. Waitress was new but she tried. I will come back but they were not on their game tonight.
It was my wife and I twenty eighth wedding anniversary so what better place to go, but Miano's. When I made the reservations I requested Rob for our waiter. He is so attentive, friendly, professional, but also fun to chat with. Actually all the wait staff at Milano's are very good , but we consider Rob a friend who we like to catch up with . My wife started out with a cosmopolitan and I had a glass of Acrobat. A pinot noir from Oregon. The glass of wine was $10.25 and I believe the cosmo was $10. My wife started out with the INSALATA DI FICO E CAVOLO Pears, Golden Raisins, Kale, Dried Figs, Pine Nuts, Shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano, Honey Balsamic for $9.95 and I had the NSALATA DI SPINACI E GORGONZOLA Spinach with Gorgonzola, Walnuts, Red Onions, Sun Dried Tomato Vinaigrette for $9.95. So far everything was great. The place was very crowded, but Rob did a great job managing his time with all his customers. For dinner my wife had the Scallop special which was with risotto . I believe the price was $26 and my wife loved it. Presentation was spot on and the food came out hot. For my main entree I had the ARROSTO D’ ANATRA ** Wood Oven Roasted Duck Breast, Duck Confit, Fingerling Potatoes, Charred Radicchio, Apricots, Apples, Seasonal Vegetable, Sage Marsala Demi Glace for $26.50 . The duck came out perfectly how I wanted it. Again presentation was perfect. My wife and I were considering desseret, but before we could ask for a dessert menu Rob came out with two desserts, which were on the house for celebrating our anniversary at Milano's. Frank the manager is a hands on person. He is a person that takes pride in Milano's. he always walks around to his greet his customers. He also will jump behind the line and help get the food out on time. I would definitely recommend Milano's to anyone who likes a warm and welcoming place, great service , and also great food.
I have visited the sister restaurant (Provence) many times and this was the first time for Milano. It will not be our last. Food was superb and server very attentive yet not a distraction.
Great food! Very nice ambiance. Mostly Italian dishes with a full bar. Pizza is excellent, brick oven. I had far diavolo pasta with sausage and shrimp. Everything is fresh. We went on a Saturday night and I am surprised it was not busy at all. Possibly because it was a holiday weekend.
My family and I went to Milano's to use a$100 gift card, that I had won in a raffle. The décor is stunning, and the manager is cordial and welcoming. It was great to know that the gift card never expired. (Nice feature!) My granddaughter was in attendance, and her mother requested that part of her dinner portion be modified for the four year old. Our server went above and beyond, as he made this request to the chef. Our server was friendly, competent, and unflappable. The food was exquisite, and our desserts a special delight. I would highly recommend this restaurant to diners.
While wondering where our cold appetizer was after 30 minutes, we were advised that both sous chefs called in sick and our app was waiting in a 'different spot' than normal. If you've dined here before you know the kitchen layout and that excuse doesn't make sense. Regardless, it took much too long and although the food was good it did not overcome the poor service on a night were the crowd was very small. For this price point the service needs to improve dramatically.
