Milan Indian Cuisine
Great food and service. The servers were very attentive. Food arrived quickly and tasted amazing. I would definitely come back.
The best, and most varied, Indian food in Charlottesville, and the only place one can find Woodpecker beer!!
The service was fine. The appetizer was good. The main entree was disappointing. The cooking was lazy and nothing note worthy. The two dishes we ordered came out to be the same looking and tasting dish.
I am not a huge fan of Indian cuisine, but I did like this restaurant. It has a broad range of specialties from across India so it can satisfy many preferences. They also serve a few types of wine from the budding Indian wine industry, which is interesting. I enjoyed the Tandoori chicken and the chef was kind enough to let me try 2 sauces for dipping instead of one. We share the eggplant dish at the table which was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food and it doesn't bust the budget.
Very attentive. Food was delicious and hot. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Milan was some of the best Indian food I have ever had!!
Food very good for the price but noise level very high
Fantastic food. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Amazing Chai Tea.
Good place for a group dinner, food good, price very good. Service very good.
As usual, excellent food and service. My favorite restaurant in Charlottesville.
Food still good, but they are skimping on portion size
Had dinner including chicken saag and egg plant, both tasty, but size of portions was surprisingly small.
Service was very good and food was quite good. We were there on a Friday night and it was crowded and noisy. We will definitely go back.
My fiancée and I got the combination dinner for two. Each dish tasted fanstastic and the service was also well executed. If you order this combination dinner, come hungry as there is a lot of food or take it home and enjoy it later :)
Love the food. Service is great. Owner is so polite and positive spirit. It is clean and inviting. I have suggested this place many times. I rarely go out to eat, but when I do, this is my first and favorite choice. Thank you.
We made a reservation for 8 of us on a weeknight to celebrate a birthday and Milan was fantastic! They had our table ready when we arrived, the waiters were very attentive, and the food came out in no time at all. The restaurant even allowed us to bring in our own birthday cake and they brought it out with a candle and sang happy birthday for us. All in all it was a fabulous experience. We will absolutely go back to Milan.
Fantastic food and service. They’re very accommodating to allergies and dietary restrictions as well. Almost every item on the menu can be made gluten or dairy free. I’ll definitely be going back!
Very busy for Valentine’s Day but service was excellent ! Enjoyed the eggplant with tomato sauce and chicken tikka. My favorite first course is the spicy Bhel Pouri. Garlic naan wonderful. The bonus came at the end. Two red roses for the women :)
Overall the food is excellent. However, I found the ambience to be slightly lacking -- most particularly the noise level, which made it difficult to hear my own table companions (I was in the corner of a table of 6, but in the seat that was most middle in the room). At times I just gave trying to participate in the conversation. The wait staff was ok, although one waiter was slightly aggressive in encouraging the ordering of more naan than we could possibly need.
I always enjoy dining here! I do make reservations first, however, as it can be crowded.
Very good Indian food for Virginia, with many choices. Their appetizer of cauliflower in sweet and sour sauce is excellent and must be tried. The wait staff are eager to please and pleasant.
Decent Indian food, but there are better options in C-Ville.
We went for an early New Years Eve dinner and were delighted we every aspect of the experience. Making the reservation on Open Table was very easy and we given a pleasantly quiet booth. Our food was delicious and the service was excellent! We’ll definitely return.
I eat Indian food frequently and this place is one of my go to places when in Charlottesville. Shrimp appetizer and the goat Rogan Josh was good. Mango lassie was good . Very clean and prompt service
We ate here on Christmas. It was delicious. Wonderful holiday memories were made.
Despite it being Christmas Eve, and therefore, packed...the overall experience was truly excellent. Service, food, wine, everything was perfect!
Food still is good, but portion of eggplant, (Bhaingan ) was small. For some reason we had a skimpy serving of this dish. Maybe they were running out of eggplant, as they had a large party and seemed overwhelmed.
Quality food, quality service, good price, nice atmosphere.
THE best Indian food in Charlottesville, hands down. Seems to get better each year. Wonderful variety in the options. Love the vegetarian/vegan options. Very comfortable and everything nicely arranged. Tables are not squished together, so plenty of room and lovely setting.
Food is always hot and fresh. Cauliflower appetizer is my favorite- a little spicy. Chicken tikka masala is delicious. Also lots of vegetarian options. Staff are very nice and accommodating. It is a solid family place. Can be very busy (and noisy) on weekends so best to book ahead. Great for take out too.
Great food, great service, friendly staff. We will be back!
Milan was a disappointment. I eat out for interesting and savory food. Milan did not deliver. The restaurant is loud and the service average.
Food quality was spotty. Eggplant was good. Lamb was somewhat rough and of only fair quality
On busy highway, but well worth the stop. the food was great, they have a buffet but we ordered from menue and it was wonderful going back again and since we are from Stafford it is almost 2 hour drive but well worth it
Great indian place! Got very loud but otherwise good.
Food was very good and service was great. Nice atmosphere.
Disappointed in the quality of the chicken in the chicken tikka masala. . It had very little flavor perhaps it was frozen and/or not fresh
Fresh, authentically prepared and ridiculously delicious food. Crisp white tablecloths and candlelight present a finer dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere. Wait staff so thoughtful and unobtrusive, and helpfully explains dishes’ ingredients and the different preparations. Offering a popular weekday buffet for business lunches, evening dining is appropriate for a romantic dinner or a celebratory family meal.
Fantastic variety of flavorful dishes and service is exceptional. We have dined here dozens of times over the past 10-15 years and we are never disappointed.
Excellent selection, many options on the menu. Very attentive wait staff, we were never without something we needed. I'd have liked to see some local (Charlottesville) beers on the menu but it was not a detractor from our evening.
