Milagro on Mercer Ratings and Reviews
The meals we had were authentic and delicious. It was evident that time and care went into the preparation of the dishes. From the fresh quacamole, salsa, and in house made nacho chips to the made from scratch mole sauce. Over the top. Service was great and our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I will be returning.
Service was good. Staff was very knowledgeable about the menu items and willing to make recommendations. Our entrees were came out quickly and we all enjoyed our food. The only disappointment for us was dessert. We ordered the churros and they weren't very good at all. They were hard and tasted like they were fried in the same oil as the tortilla chips. We had much better while visiting Mexico City and Miami.
Overall we really enjoyed our meal and plan to return to Milagro.
Grat food - amazing flavour, good presentation, nice portions. It's a little dark for our liking, but some people enjoy that. The place was bustling and service suffered accordingly. We ordered two appetizers and two mains. Only one main showed up, which turned out OK because we were full.
Milagro was lovely once again. Food is great, service friendly and attentive. We also enjoy the proximity to 2nd City and other theatres as we are frequently attending a show after dinner. My only concern is to make sure we are not seated right under the heat vents next time! Heat blasting on my head got to be a little too much.
My brother and I took my father here before a show for Christmas. It is very close to the theatre, and the price point for all three of us to have drinks, apps, dinner, and desert was $50 each (including tax/tip), and the food was very delicious. Attentive wait staff, good atmosphere. I would definitely come back here.
Absolutely loved my experience at Milagro. The staff were all friendly, offered excellent service, and genuinely cared about our dining experience. The food/drinks were quick to come out and tasted great... The guac and warm, salty tortilla chips were fantastic. I had La Perla (fish tacos) and my partner had a pork dish. Our dishes could have used a bit more heat (we love spicy foods) but other than that we had no issues. Best churros I've ever had, the dipping sauce was so good! We left with full bellies and felt so happy and grateful to have found this spot, will definitely go back and recommend to others.
Service and food were great. Noise level was out of control. Granted, it's a loud , busy place. We get that but there was a very large group seated in the centre of the restaurant with two or three absolutely shrieking young women, shrieking. All eyes were on them . Really over the top.
A frequent destination for me when I'm in the mood for some authentic Mexican fare. Very knowledgeable staff, extensive tequila menu and my always favorite go to drink - the classic marguerite. Typically we order a number of the appetizers and simply share, a great way to experience the breadth of the food offerings. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We have been to this restaurant a few times and we've always enjoyed our meal. They have a very good drink menu lots of different drinks and good selection. I had the mango pineapple salad which was very good. I also had pork tacos the pork was a little dry but I did enjoy it. My husband had the enchilada suiza he like that as well. We were too full for dessert. We did have guacamole and chips and that was delicious we will definitely return to this restaurant!
Excellent spot for a group dinner! We had a friend in from out of town and a few people asked to join in last minute - the restaurant was incredibly accommodating, and didn't try to make us feel bad or uncomfortable for adding guests so late.
Everyone enjoyed their meals, the atmosphere is upbeat and fun, and the servers were excellent at dealing with a large group.
We wanted to try an authentic Mexican dinner and what a great choice. Service was amazing - very fast. Food was great - friends had never tried Mexican and they loved it. Tons to choose from on menu. Great find - we are out of town but will make a trip back.
Good bye lunch for 8 people for a business colleague. Great service from two staff, timely and accurate food orders and service. And delicious meals. I had made a reservation for 8 and when I arrived, I did ask for and get the Semi-private table near the hostess stand, but it would have been even better if I had been offered that up front. Sitting in the main dining room with a large group would be a bit noisy at lunchtime.
Overall a good experience at Milagro, with a couple of small complaints.
First off, fantastic Caesars and they use a rimmer I've never encountered before. VERY overpowering, but in a good way. They weren't afraid to add spice to it, either, and I love my spice.
We shared shrimp tacos and the Capital taco (came with steak and onions). The steak taco was lacking in flavour and size, and we both had to put different kinds of salsa to liven it up a bit. The shrimp taco was delicious, though- with or without salsa.
We also ordered a trio of different chicken enchiladas to share. Really tasty sauces, but our serving was not hot enough when it came out. They apologized and went back to heat it up, but it still felt the same when they returned our original dish. A few minutes later, they brought out a fresh, new serving for us, which was much hotter. We were not expecting a brand new order, but it was appreciated. Nobody ever wants to send food back, but the service staff was very pleasant about it and handled it professionally.
A couple of minor hiccups that were dealt well and a tasty meal. I'd go back the next time I'm in the mood for Mexican food.
I went to Milagro for my birthday on Friday with 6 of my friends and we had a horrible time because of the service.
The servers were rude, dismissive and inattentive. We had the distinct feeling we were being rushed out of the restaurant despite being perfectly normal patrons, not demanding, etc.
Example of what happened that made us never want to return, despite being longtime customers of all locations:
1) Drinks - drinks would be clearly empty on the table, one of us would ask for a beverage and instead of looking around and asking others, they would just walk away, making it so that some had full drinks, while others had absolutely nothing.
2) From the second we sat down we were asked repeatedly what we wanted to order for food, we mentioned we weren't in a rush and wanted to spend time talking to each other and were not ready to order, we were still ordering (many!) drinks so our attendance wouldn't have been a "loss" from a revenue standpoint.
3) the food arrived and it was cold
4) Overall attitude from all the servers no matter what we asked - standard questions: may I also have another drink? No, for the 11th time, we do not want guacamole (we ordered other appetizers)...may i make my meal a dinner size (it's an option they offer!)
I do hope this is shared with the restaurant.
Very unfortunately because I have always been a huge fan of the restaurant but after this experience I have no desire to ever return, and neither would my friends.
