Great local spot - fresh and interesting rolls. I love the new Poke bowl!
Food was great, especially liked the goat cheese tempura salad.
The food was generally excellent, good portion sizes, and well presented. It came out in odd groupings, but there was always food on the table.
Great food and excellent service
We loved it! Plenty of cooked sushi options which I prefer, and clearly labled menu. The ambience was amazing!
Miku is always great. Their food is delicious and interesting, the staff very welcoming and efficient. I love their menu, there is something for everyone.
We had a great meal at Miku, there was a great variety on the menu. Some of the sushi rolls were half off if you were dining in before 6pm. A great value for your money. Service was also excellent and the dragon roll was amazing!
Extremely loud. Food was mediocre.
Great restaurant - sushi/sashimi is always terrific and service is outstanding. One of the best sushi spots in Chicago!
Great food and atmosphere but they need to hire a few more waiters & waitresses. It seems like they have too few people to handle the business.
Miku is our go-to place for sushi — excellent food, service and atmosphere!
We love the food at Miku. And especially, before 6:00 pm when the prices for some makis and drinks are 50% off. Yeah!
Really good food and overall just liked everything that We ordered
Friendly lunch with really good fish. Warm vibe and great tunes. Great lunch special and roll discounts before 6.
We had a great night at Miku! Our server was really welcoming and helpful. Cocktails were great, and the atmosphere was perfect for a casual night out.
The service was good, but kind of slow. They never refilled our waters, and took a long time to get the check. The sushi was very good though.
The Hamachi Chef's Nigiri was the best! Melts in your mouth. The Getaway roll was fresh and delicious.
Great sushi, fast service and something for everyone including the non-sushi folks (Tempura goat cheese on a salad with green apple slices!) Out table even tried the alligator skewers.
Highly recommend it for the freshness of the fish, the lovely flavors of the seasonings, the beautiful presentation and the excellent service-- a well-priced experience!
Wonderful evening! The services was great and the food, marvelous.
Great place :-)
Love this place! Food is amazing and they have unique and tasty martinis (I'm not generally a martini person but that's what I drink there cuz they are amazing!)
This neighborhood Gem knows their Sushi Rolls and how to present them.
Great Very Fresh, presentations with original designs and tastes..
The Maki rolls and Sake selection are wonderfully priced, beating comparable establishments downtown by at least 1/3 the cost.
They take great pride in their presentations and the selection of offering are vast.
Even the Shashimi presentation was beautifully prepared.
But, the sauces and combinations make this a place we will visit again and again with delicious and tasty treats.
Shh - they even have a few tables outside....
The restaurant seemed understaffed during the lunch time with just 2 people waiting tables. We weren’t ready to order in the first 5 min and it was another 15 min before we could get attention to place the order. Non-sushi items were much better than rolls. Highly rec goat cheese tempura salad and spicy ramen.
Food is good, but this is our second time where the service has been really lousy. Waited 15 minutes to be greeted by our server, then had to wait almost 20 minutes between our appetizers and main courses, after being told by our server the food was coming right out. No apologies were offered. They either need to add a couple servers or train their people a little better or both.
Good service. Casual but nice ambience.
Table was sticky when we sat down.
Took 10 minutes for a server to ask us what we wanted to drink...(restaurant was not busy).
Asked 3x for gluten free soy.
Food was ok
I was very disappointed with the overall experience at Miku. The service was slow, the food was mediocre and the ambiance of the restaurant felt like fast casual.
Our server was attentive and fast. She also had good suggestions. We were able to talk at a normal level. We had great food, great drinks and a wonderful time.
Amazing friendly staff. Great menu , has patio , lightly dimmed in a very great Neighborhood , great music playlist in background , highly recommend it for sushi lovers who want to dine in an urban yet elegant restaurant with the kitchen open for you to see how they prepare your dish
Good food and great service. The happy hour prices are fabulous.
Great sushi and if you get there and order before 6pm they have a great deal.
Absolutely love Miku and the happy hour is one of the best! Get the Samuri martini, you won’t regret it!
We started with the Goat Cheese Tempura salad which was very good. 2-3 people can split this and get 1 goat cheese tempura and a couple bites of greens. Was good, could have used more of the pecans. My mom had 3 orders (2 pieces each) of the Sashimi, which were the Maguro, Sake & Unagi, $7 for each piece of 2. That seemed reasonable, although I didn’t taste, she said they were good. I on the other hand had the the Tonkotsu Ramen, was chilly this day and wanted something to warm me up. Broth was not very hot, luke warm, when I stirred, it got a little warmer, so that shows me it was sitting there for awhile before it was served to me. The pork was not very tasty and I wouldn’t really call the slices Pork Belly, they were slices from a small pork roast the you would cook in the oven. I like more of the Ramen style noodles or even rice noodles, these were just regular egg noodles. My fault I didn’t see that when reading description. The broth had sesame oil in it which I find very overwhelming in a broth, I didn’t feel like it tasted like a pork base broth. So for this reason I have to chop this restaurant off my list. There are plenty of other sushi restaurants in the city so would be good if the Ramen was very tasty also.
Good food nice ambiance. Sushi rolls were delicious
Miku is tried and true. Great sushi, fantastic ramen, nice offerings of hot and cold appetizers to round out a meal. Always consistent with friendly, attentive service and fresh delicious food .
Outstanding sushi lunch!
Great service & delicious food!
After reading all of the positive reviews, I decided to give this place a try for a Saturday date night. The restaurant is nice overall. The sushi bar is particularly nice and large. However, there’s no waiting area so as I sat at the sushi bar waiting for my friend the waitress and wait staff just kept giving me weird looks. We were seated at the rear of the restaurant but the noise level was still too much for my taste. The food was absolutely delicious! However, make no mistake, this place is not cheap. Not at all. I recommend you view their online menu for pricing. The waitress who took care of us was very pleasant and poised.
I don't know a TON about sushi, but this was absolutely the best sushi I've ever had. My wife and I would take one bite, and then we'd have to lean back and just sit in the moment before taking another bite, just savoring it. This was a birthday dinner for my wife, and it was thoroughly classy without being stuffy, and the price-point was shockingly low. Will be back to this place a lot.
