About Miku Restaurant
We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly and lightly searing sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the fish. Miku owner Seigo Nakamura innovated the Aburi concept by crafting specialty sauces using non-traditional Japanese ingredients to pair with each type of fish. The light sear from the binchotan (Japanese bamboo charcoal) then caramelizes the sauce, releasing a smoky aroma and bringing out the finest flavours in each piece of Aburi sushi.
Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Fly Over Canada, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus.

Miku Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I came here for lunch on Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend for our annual anniversary and Miku’s staff went above and beyond due to the special occasion! They had set a greeting card on our table wishing us a happy Valentine’s Day and anniversary, and started us off with an appetizer on the house. We had a beautiful view of Canada Place as well. We ordered the Premium off the lunch specials and every bite was perfectly delicious. Our order came at a timely manner and the server took the time to guide us through each piece of sushi. At times we had different servers bring us food, and they all wished us a happy anniversary right down to the dessert we ordered. The greeting was carefully written in chocolate on the plate. We were incredibly happy with our visit and will definitely go again, anniversary or not!
Drove by the building many times. Didn't expect much more than the sceneries and ambience but was pleasantly surprised. Sushi and sashimi dishes are phoenominnal. Good portions and quite filling. Final tab was much more affordable than this line of high end restaurants in general.
I was disappointed with the whole experience. The restaurant was so noisy it was very difficult to hear our server's explanation of the menu options and difficult to hear our own conversation. The food was good but not exceptional. We ordered a couple of the platters and it seemed like they had been prepared much earlier and pulled out of a cooler.
I was at the restaurant about 5 years ago in their previous location which was smaller and more intimate. The food at that time was much better and freshly prepared. Not so this time...... I had been waiting to share this restaurant, so was very sad with the whole experience.
Bigger is definitely not better!
I came here, as a friend recommended it to me who said it was one of their best eating experiences. I came here for my birthday and I was definitely not disappointed. I am a foodie, and this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was also incredible, I will definitely be returning!
Friendly service and nice location. The food was rather hit and miss . Edamame was delicious and salads were good. The fish was rather underwhelming ; prawn was good, yellow tail was foul; tasted off, we told our waiter and he took it off our bill. Overall it was ok. Wouldn't rush to go again. Had far, far better sushi at home in London.
Sunday afternoon restaurant was quiet maybe 1/3 full. Lots of staff milling around talking a couple on phones, had to flag down staff. Drink order came approx 10-12 minutes after the food arrived, 20 minutes after the miso. Asked for drink order 3 times, eventually walked over to a server at the wait station and asked if we could get our drink order prior to completing our meal. When drink order finally came they missed half the order, we cancelled the rest. To call the food mediocre would be polite. Nigiri was not hot or warm but seemed like it was sitting under a heat lamp for an extended time, mushy and not fresh. Aburi was not my liking. The flavors of the dishes were muddled all seven dishes tasted the same . It was as if I was eating a jumbled take away box of leftovers that had been sitting on the counter all day. The desert was very good, the only glimmer of hope. I had heard good things about the restaurant. Was the opposite of impressed.
My wife and I have been visiting Miku since their first location opened on West Hastings. We loved that location but have got used to the move to 200 Granville location and the great water views. The food is outstanding and we always leave wanting to come back soon. If you haven't tried Aburi sushi, you don't know what you are missing.
We came because of dine-out Vancouver, but was surprised that in this location they did not offered it, even though they said it in their advertisement. Anyway, as always the food is always good, service is fantastic and you never leave disappointed. Never had a bad meal there.
The food was some of the best sushi I have ever eaten. We went for a special occasion and they were able to accommodate a window seat and a lovely birthday personalized dessert. We were running late to our reservation and the staff was very friendly and understanding. Would highly recommend this place and will certainly go back if in the area.
The GF and I went for 10 year anniversary dinner. We had the Aburi Prime with pairings. It was excellent! (It ruined scallops for me, I don't think I'll ever eat anything that amazing again). The only disappointment for me was the dessert course and pairing - it just didn't work for my palate. However the final item (Japanese Whiskey) was a nice true finish.
Service and attentiveness from the sincere greetings by the hostesses at the entrance to the wait staff led by Ryan to the we'll wishes upon our departure were exceptional! They collectively made our celebration of our daughter's 21st birthday a wonderful memory. Looking forward to visiting again!
