Food is extremely salty; nigiri with wasabi ruined the tuna fish taste
It was my birthday and our friends were here visiting Vancouver from Singapore for the first time. We were all throughly overwhelmed by the service and food - they had visited Japan and said they never tasted anything like the dishes they had at Miku - many thanks guys for making this a very memorable experience!
Excellent experience yet once again and food was terrific. We ordered our usual dishes and service was excellent. They were accommodating and made my salmon oshi zushi completely cooked since I am pregnant. It still tasted just as delicious. We received he quieter booth with a view of the cruise ship dock which I had requested. Appetizers came in a short time followed by the main course. I wish we had too for dessert but maybe next time n
An excellent meal with complex flavours.A good wine list. The service by Alan was impeccable. He helped us through the unfamiliar menu and assisted us in our choices.
Excellent lunch with great value.
Absolutely amazing food.! We make it a point to eat here every time we’re in Vancouver.
Did not get the bay view seats, was reserved by a large party!
The waiter and waitress are very friendly, always very patient to wait for our order. I'll suggest ordering Miku Zen which is a large portion of single serve. The beef shank and black tiger prawn tasted really good. I don't like Coal Harbour Platter. Mussels and clams are a bit overcooked.
Excellent service. We think it's the best sushi and desserts in Vancouver.
Mouth watering, so yummy good. Great service. Beautiful restaurant.
As good as Japanese food I have tasted anywhere in the world, including in Japan
It was first time visiting the restaurant since we heard it had great reviews. Since I made an online reservations for my wife's birthday, it was nice they seated us in sectioned off area with two other tables. Or maybe it was a coincidence. Elsewhere, the restaurant was nosy due to the lunch time traffic. The server recommended a few dishes which we enjoyed. They listed off all the ingredients for every dish that was served which was great. The food presentation was good. The food tasted good as well but I wasn't blown away. Overall, I would give a high rating not because it is a fine dining establishment but it stands out from other comparable restaurants I've visited. Also, there is a definite distinction versus casual fine dining establishments that they derserve a high rating. The waterfront view was superb. However, it's highly unlikely I would be a frequent visitor since my wife still prefers another establishment.
The ladies washroom was filthy. I told the hostess on my way out. Luckily I didn’t use the washroom until after I was done my meal.
Beautiful place, good service, amazing food but too much noise for talk! They need provide sth for acoustics!
Amazing food and service. Never disappointed!
The real deal. Unbelievable food, artistic and creative and of course delicious. We are from Toronto and have been all over the restaurant scene there and were told to try this place as an example of the best in Vancouver and we were totally wowed. Really stunning, and on top of the culinary delights, the service was impeccable and the view awesome.
Again another good experience. The service was as expected and of course the food was always consistently tasty.
Very enjoyable. Thank you
Got a really nice dating there, the oshi taste really good. It’s one of the best Japanese restaurant I have been.
Great service and amazing food with a fantastic atmosphere!!!!
Very overpriced and pretentious.
This is an amazing little gem of creative, fresh, and swoon-worthy food; brave, delicious plates, perfectly seasoned and leaving your mouth watering for more. The dessert was ^incredible^ ...highly recommend !
This is by far the best Sushi restaurant in Canada.
We make the effort to dine at Miku whenever we visit Vancouver and our last visit was likely our most memorable. As world cuisine becomes more interesting and chefs continue to push the boundaries & explore new boundaries, one wonders if some of the established restaurants will fall behind. Resoundingly I can say Miku is not stagnating. Really good sushi / Japanese cuisine can be difficult to find in Canada but Miku delivers both on a high level. The staff is young but works hard and their effort to ensure a superb dining experience and compliment the delicious flavours found in each savoury (yes, savoury) dish is noted. We will be back soon.
We had the Aburi Kaiseki with wine pairing. It was the perfect dinner for a long face to face dinner with my wife. The view was fantastic and we had really good service.
Bad service, waiter didn’t focus on us, sushi had been sitting and was dried out and warm
Fantastic meal! Hats off to the chefs. Truly an experience. Try the Aburi Prime. Do not miss out on the Aburi Oshi Sushi either. Service was friendly although a little slow. For what you’re paying, I’d expect much better service - a quicker greeting, checking in on how things are, not having to ask for basics like water refills or to order something else. But our server was engaging and very detailed when we did see her. I’d still recommend eating here. Just know you’ll wait a bit.
Great as always! The aburi salmon is so good, as is everything else I’ve tried so far
We went for a special dinner. Very nice atmosphere. Great food. Our server was knowledgeable about what was included in each dish. The prices were good for the quality of the food.
The experience and food was great as usual. The Aburi Oshi never gets old. Miku very kindly accommodated the birthday cake we brought for my daughters birthday!
Outstanding venue, service, food and experience. Food was extraordinary.
I found the Aburi and nigiri average and every piece tasted the same. Very disappointing. We went to the blue water cafe the night before and it was immensely superior to this crap. I don’t know why people like it so much. It’s overpriced and the food is average at best.
We visit Vancouver a couple of time per year, and Miku is a regular spot. The sushi offerings are precisely cut and taste is also uniquely good. Service always good. Price is on high side, and it can be noisy. Be sure to reserve a table
Our waiter was excellent, and the food was fantastic! However, the noise was a bit hard to have conversation with.
Thank you for making our 10th Anniversary evening amazing! I can’t recall our waiters name (we think it was Vaughn?) but he was on point!! That sake flight caused a little sportiness in my memory 😜. The complimentary dessert was such a delicious treat 💕🎉🥂 As was everything else we sampled. Cheers! - we will be back!
We enjoyed our casual lunch at this restaurant in the downtown of Vancouver. We were allocated to a table with beautiful view of the harbor, which had definitely enhanced the overall dining experience. The food was average + in terms of freshness of the ingredients but the service was excellent.
Amazing food. Seriously stunning.
Service was decent, if a bit frenetic.
It was loud-enough that the servers had to lean in to your ear to explain the dishes. Far too noisy for a business dinner, though it would be great for a group of friends.
