Mike's Bistro - UES
The rooms were well-staffed with experienced servers who paid attention. Food was great. Classy experience.
Service was great. Food was delicious, as always.
Noise was a bit too loud.
The food was excellent. I had tuna sashimi as an appetizer. It was cut into very slim slices and flavored with a ceviche sauce. For the main course, I shared the duck for two with a friend. Poorly prepared duck can be a disaster. This sliced duck breast was perfect. For dessert I had the citrus combo plate. While everything was delicious, the portions are tiny. The sashimi was like a forkful, but shaved into micro slices; the duck for 2 was not even enough for one and the dessert was small. The prices were quite high for the quantity.
Incredible service along with the most delicious food.
Exceptionally fresh tuna is a rarity in a "meat restaurant" but Mike prepared an outstanding delicate tuna steak
Great evening! Enjoyed the experience!
I eat out quite often. This is the best food I've eaten in years! Owner stopped by our table to chat. Overall BEST experience! Highly recommend!
Great food, great buzz, best meal in town.
Overpriced but delicious for a kosher resta
Perfect every time.
The food was spectacular and well worth the price, which is not always the case. The restaurant is lovely especially the bar area. I plan to drop by there for a drink and a small plate at the bar in the near future. Mike is still the gracious host he always was and his intense love of food shows in his cooking and in the joy he takes when you love the food too!
Great service the owner was walking around asking how was the food , it was amazing anything you ate tasted great!
Everything at Mike’s is great. It’s expensive but worth it. Enjoy.
Great table! Roy is the best! Had a wonderful time with everyone
Great food and great service but the dining room is too noisy. Prices are super high.
This is the finest kosher restaurant in NYC. Mike is a creative chef who has developed all sorts of dishes not standard in other kosher restaurants. It is pricey, but superb.
What a fabulous evening out! Everyone of us in our party of five ordered different items and there was only praise for each and every dish. The cauliflower soup was smooth with just the right blend of herbs, the short ribs melted in the mouth, the steaks were cooked to perfection, and the mushroom medley was well balanced. Our server was professional and very friendly; his energy added a positive note to our dining experience. Will definitely recommend and will definitely come again!
Took my niece and 2 granddaughters to theater for their birthdays and mikes bistro fir dinner afterwards
It was fantastic. Everything we ordered was amazing. The service was great. We loved it!
Waiter dropped a knife on me, food was extremely subpar (I have been to just about every kosher steakhouse in the city)
Mike's Bistro is a special place and our favorite kosher restaurant in New York City. The food is superb, the tables are comfortably placed and the staff from our entrance until the time we left were all excellent! Kudos to you!
Outstanding and prompt service. Large and lovely setting and you are not sitting on top of your neighbors! Excellent food although there was pepper on both of the steaks. This not specified on the menu, although it was light and not overpowering. Definitely recommend and will visit again on next special occasion.
Mike’s bistro lives up to its sterling reputation. Classy service and attention the moment you walk in and everyone worker there is on their A game.
Definitely try the specials but you won’t go wrong with any dish you choose.
Food was very good. We had lunch. Only issue was we were only given one option for lunch. Price fixe but nothing else available for $75! We were stuck. This should have been told when we made a reservation for lunch. It was too late to start looking as we were pressed for time. This was wrong. Almost $200 for lunch? Food was good and service was excellent. Be wary when you book here
Food was excellent. Service was outstanding and ambience was lovely. However, excellence of food was not so much better than other restaurants to justify the price
Always great food. Wonderful service. It's nit cheap but we'll worth it. Will keep coming back
Never going back.
Food was delicious and service was excellent
good food but way too expensive. will never go again.
An amazing experience! Delicious food! Great service!
Hands down the best restaurant for anyone that keeps kosher. I've probably been here more than 50 times and I've yet to have a time that I wasn't thrilled.
Mike’s is consistently the best. Food is always fresh and prepared perfectly. And Mike is always there and so welcoming
It was the first time that seven of us were eating here and we were happy that it was chosen by a friend. The food was very good. We had the salmon, the artichoke appetizer and the very delicious kasha. We also all loved the fondue dessert. Our waiter was fabulous, fun and very attentive to our needs. We would definitely return here. FYI only one person in our party was kosher, but the food was great for everyone!
Best kosher place in the world !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Extremely overpriced. I would not go back there for that reason. The food was ok. Prices are ridiculous.
Amazing experience time and time again!!excellent food, excellent service. Great ambiance.
as always EXCELLENT. The food, the service, always the best. Mike comes around to make sure his guests are enjoying. Definetely my favorite restaurant.
The food was absolutely delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambience was delightful, but there were two serious shortcomings. First, the portions were tiny, particularly relative to the prices. The cote de boeuf for two ($138) would have been a good portion for one person. Second, the rack of lamb is lamb chops. A first-class chef should know the difference.
Everything on the pre-fixe menu is prepared the same (bed of broccolini, mashed potatoes) and the food was very salty. All of us had the same issue -- almost inedibly salty and I like salty food. Servers were very kind & attentive but they didn't describe the food or prep well even when asked. There were no starter options and only two dessert options. For $75 a person, I would have also expected to be asked if we wanted tea or coffee ( no one asked). Venue is great for a business lunch but the price & food quality were a big disappointment.
I've tried all the high class kosher restaurants in the city, and Mike's bistro is still on top of my list
Still the best around never disappoints
Not just great kosher but great food
