Mike's Bistro - UES
Great service and food. Pricey and noisy but a wonderful experience all in all.
Great food Great flavors Great service Great ambiance
As always, Mike's does not disappoint. The food is outstanding, the service is top notch and Mike is always friendly and a pleasure to speak to. Can't wait to return.
It was a perfect night - food - space - all etails - were perfect. would go back all the time!!
Excellent on all counts. Planning on coming back.
Alexander the Waiter was great
My wife and I really enjoyed the experience
We are from Toronto and Mike's Bistro was highly recommended bu our Nephew who lives in NY
You more than lived up to our expectations
This place serves the best kosher steak in New York. You can find kosher places with a more elegant atmosphere, such as Reserve Cut, but the food here can't be beat.
Only restaurant that grills steak better than me. Gnocchi is incredible.
I’m aware that when we dine out at a steak restaurant prices are gonna be high.
But when I ask for a glass of Pinot Grigio and it costs $16?
When I ask for bread they give us a tiny piece in a small plate ?
When I ask for the steak to be butterflied I am given a stare down “I’ll see what the chef says”. Ok.
Then rather than letting me dictate the tip, nope-18%.
Again I’m aware that this exists and I shouldn’t be shocked by it. And more importantly the place was jammed.. maybe it’s just me. I’m a value person. I don’t like being insulted.
Two rib steaks, French onion soup, gnocchi, two wines and one apricot sour, $298. Hmm....
I ordered “saffron braised chicken” for $44.99 and received 2 inferior cuts of chicken (skin on), covered with a mysterious brown sauce not indicating saffron. Too expensive to actually use, I suppose. Best for this kind of place is to order steak and hope for the best.
we got there and one of our party was not able to make it and they kindly gave us a table with the extra seat just in case he was going to show up. the service was great and well informed. the food was delicious and creative and cooked perfectly. i had a first cut veal with sweet potato fritters and my father had edamame and a wonderful duck dish. i tried a little of both of his as well and they were very good as well. will definitely go again. my first visit since they moved and their new size has not dampened the quality of the food.
We went because we had a gift certificate. We were so pleased and would definitely go back! Our waiter Javier made great suggestions and was very helpful. Food was amazing. Kind of pricey, but worth it for a special night out. Parking was easy too. Highly recommend
We were really looking forward to a nice night out. We had 6:30 reservations. When we got there (6:38) the lady told us "We will need your table back at 8:00". We were very much bothered by this concept. Instead of just relaxing and enjoying the delicious food, we kept looking at our watches making sure we weren't overstaying our visit. it was also very noisy. I would give it a 1 star for this craziness but the food was really good. Unfortunately we probably will never be going back there. The service and the noise level don't match the food and prices.
The steak is absolutely amazing however the appetizers are really not good and overpriced. If they can improve on the appetizers it would be great.
We enjoyed Mikes consistent doting service and the fish was exceptional.
Best steakhouse ever!! Thanks for the amazing service!
A little loud. Mixed up drinks mixed up seating. Otherwise wonderful evening
Food delicious as always. Wait staff excellent. Just disappointed that the specific table I had reserved was given away (again).
Excellent service and a unique opportunity to enjoy superior kosher cuisine.
Absolutely phenomenal. The food is delicious and the staff is attentive and kind.
Food was great, service was unbelievably fast, portions, however, were quite small especially the appetizers. Main courses were moderate n size. Very noisy room.
food and service excellent
I had to talk way too loudly to be heard by my wife.
Food was absolutely superb. Our waiter, Seth, was a pleasure, attentive but not overbearing. Looking forward to returning!
Best place ever. Such good food. Great ambiance. Favorite place.
We were p;pleasantly surprised with the delicious food. It was all very tasty and presented nicely. We would definitely go back.
Delicious food with excellent service combined with boisterous crowd. Mucho expensive. Food stamp people need not reserve a table at this establishment.
This was my first time at Mike's Bistro. The ambiance was lovely, my husband and I had a lovely meal. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was wonderful. Every person we spoke to there was so nice and accommodating. I'd recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family!
Waiters kept walking away when need to order
The service was impeccable. Food was ready pretty quick. The drinks were extravagant
I would not recommend the Dry aged steak if you have never had it before. The taste and texture of the meat is totally different. I was a st timer and boy was it an expensive lesson. Nice portion and probably cooked to perfection rare but i really had to force myself to finish it and felt sick all the way home. I am not G-D forbid blaming or giving a bad review to the establishment. I am only giving a review to give warning to future 1st time diners to be wary of the dry aged steak. Definitely not like any other steak at the other high end Kosher eateries. I am a steak lover and this one i must say was nearly impossible to eat. The taste is bland not moist doesn't at all taste like steak . I must say the best parts were the pieces left on the bone not cut they were delicious. I was under the impression that it was to be seared on a hot skillet at the table like i saw them do to the table next to me but alas to mine it was not done. not sure if that added to the bland tasteless final product. My fiend had the short ribs he said tasted very good. I was extremely disappointed and actually did not feel well all night. Lessen learned be warned.
This place just keeps getting better. I didn’t think a restaurant could surpass excellent but somehow Mike and his team found a way. SUPERB!
Wonderful steakhouse. Great food and the service was excellent.
Expensive for what it was
Best place in the city food is great people are excellent and service is 👍
great. Great ny’s best kosher restaurant
The rooms were well-staffed with experienced servers who paid attention. Food was great. Classy experience.
Service was great. Food was delicious, as always.
Noise was a bit too loud.
The food was excellent. I had tuna sashimi as an appetizer. It was cut into very slim slices and flavored with a ceviche sauce. For the main course, I shared the duck for two with a friend. Poorly prepared duck can be a disaster. This sliced duck breast was perfect. For dessert I had the citrus combo plate. While everything was delicious, the portions are tiny. The sashimi was like a forkful, but shaved into micro slices; the duck for 2 was not even enough for one and the dessert was small. The prices were quite high for the quantity.
