The food and the service were some of the best we have ever had. The waiters were attentive, knowledgeable about everything on the menu, and they were incredibly patient and engaging with our children. We loved it though found it a bit expensive.
Quality food and great service. Crowded for a Wednesday night. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Flavorful appitizers and corn soup. Nice meat mains. Pretty good desserts.
We went out for a friends birthday, ambiance was great, food was spectacular and our waitor Lenny was superb. Highly recommend this place!
Service was terrible we were rushed and would not let us order apps while we decided on dinner. Kept giving us the check so we just kept ordering..
The food was outstanding. The best veal chop that I ever ate. Short ribs were scrumptious. Corn soup extraordinary
Mike's Bistro is a kosher restaurant. Whatever you order comes out as you would like it to be. The prices are a little pricey but what would you expect from a kosher restaurant? The service is good, the noise level is energetic and the food is excellent. I had the rib steak and my friend had a veal chop. We both enjoyed our meal immensely. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to both those who eat kosher.
Great food as always! Chef makes his rounds and gets input directly from customers.
Best place in the whole world. Would go back again and again
Perhaps it’s just the style being one of the only good kosher business restaurant. Waiter grabbed plates before even done or as last bite was in play.
Food was good but very very expensive
The best kosher restaurant meal we have eaten. In fact, one of the best meals, period, regardless of it being kosher. Beautiful place, outstanding waitstaff, food cooked to perfection. We can’t stop talking about how wonderful our evening was.
Mike's is a kosher restaurant. The food is good. Lunch is a prix fix menu with limited choices, but enough to get by, The three entrees were salmon, chicken and beef. We were a party of three and each of us ordered a different entrée. All of us thought our meal was very good. It was a little pricey for the size of the portions and the type of entrees. The dinner menu looked more appealing.
Excellent, excellent, excellent!!!
Surprisingly, there are relatively few good fine dining kosher options in NY. Mike's Bistro serves a fixed price $75 lunch consisting of a set salad and soup, choice of entre (beef, chicken or fish) and a choice from 2 deserts. The ambiance is understated and quiet, the service is very good, and the food is fresh, well prepared and tasty but nothing special whatsoever. I Is it worth $75? No. But I recommend it if you need a kosher option for a business lunch.
Het was weer, zoals gewoonlijk, meer dan heerlijk. Het enige nadeel is de prijs. Een avondje uit eten daar is gewoon erg kostbaar
Food was spot on as usual but a big bummer when we arrived and discovered they had run out of their short rib - one of their signature dishes. It was only about 6pm on a Sunday when we arrived so kind of hard to figure out what happened there. I'm not using hyperbole - that dish was the reason we decided to go there as opposed to one of the other high-end kosher restaurants in Manhattan.
Service was great - felt very well attended to.
The duck gnocchi is simply amazing - the duck, the mushrooms, the gnocchi itself - just amazing.
The veal milanese (might not be the actual name on the menu - but breaded veal cutlet) was excellent, but slightly oilier than I would expect from this caliber restarant.
The kasha side was incredible, but priced at $19 I was expecting more - especially as many of the main dishes do not come with sides.
Could also use some more exciting options on the dessert menu.
All in all a great meal, but I would say it should be priced a bit less. (As a non restaurant owner pretty easy for me to say :) )
Mike's never disappoints. The food is just soooooo good. (The place could be prettier, and the service could be more refined -- both things that would make sense at this price point -- but the food is so good that maybe I don't care.)
The food is delicious and every single dish that one orders is a delicacy. It is classy and the service is outstanding. Mike's is a treat- always.
Great food, great ambiance. Expensive. We noted in our reservation that it was our anniversary. We ordered a dessert and they wrote “happy anniversary” on the plate in chocolate and proceeded to sing to us. It was quite unexpected but very nice.
Everything was great a little pricier than expected.
Liked that they check your coat when arriving but otherwise this place is overrated and overpriced, our waiter was not too nice to us and no patience to help us he just wanted to get a order in and move on he didn't like us to ask any questions about the manu and to explain what is what.
They did give us a table in a quiet corner as requested.
Would definitely not go there again and would not recommend going there, definitely not worth the price.
Good food, great service! I highly recommend Mike's Bistro!
Enjoyable evening here, with very good service and delicious food. They were happy to satisfy some individual dietary needs.
Had the most amazing dinner at Mike’s. Ordered the special, a smoked veal with rib for 2. Just outstanding.
Food was expensive and quite pedestrian.
One of the better Kosher meat restaurants in NY. Always enjoy ourselves whether just by ourselves or with family
Amazing! Great food selection and settings.
we really enjoyed it!
Top top. Very tasty. We loved it
Was very unhappy with the waiter that served us. We asked him what soups there r, he answered we should look in the menu. And he wasnt at all accommodating so we were a disappointed.
Appetizers not that amazing but main course was delicious!!!! 😋😋😋😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
The pre fix lunch is overpriced and the food was mediocre at best. Would not go back.
Good food but very expensive. I don't mind the price fixed menu and they do vary it a bit, but $75/pop is steep.
food was excellent very pricey (as expected) waiter was extremely pushy and in full sales mode
Amazing food, service and ambiance! Would go back in a heartbeat!
Stellar service and delicious food even if you are vegan
The restaurant had a very comfortable atmosphere. Our waiter was careful with food needs and spotted an error in the food that was prepared for me. A major improvement since our last visit when the restaurant was on the West Side is that now it is wheel chair accessible.
Best kosher food I’ve had in NYC, though I have not been kosher for 20 years. High quality food, well-prepared, reasonable kosher wine list, nice ambiance. VERY expensive, so if you don’t have to eat kosher, cannot really recommend.
Great waiter. Great food. Above expectations as often disappointed by expensive restaurants. Definitely going back iy'H.
LOVELY FOOD, GOOD SERVICE AND NICE ENVIRONMENT FOR KOSHER DINING!
Excellent quality, but the fixed price lunch is expensive. The best time for doing so is a business lunch when you are not paying out of your own pocket.
We had a family celebration with a party of 6.
Table was beautifully located,so we were comfortable and able to have a conversation around the table.Service was outstanding,
Food was very good, but somewhat lacking a flavor.Steak was cooked to perfection, but plain tasting.Latkes and Foie grass were delicious and we ordered extra.
Everyone was happy with their choices.
Some people were gluten-free and it was very limited dessert menu for someone with a special needs.
Overall,a very good experience and we will definitely consider coming back.
