Mikado Japanese Steak House – Orlando World Center Ratings and Reviews
As always, Mikado offers great food with an entertaining chef. All food in Orlando is pricey, so that was not a concern. We enjoyed the preparation by chef Toshio and our children were amazed with the presentation. I'd recommend it for anyone staying at the Orlando World Center or nearby.
The restaurant is very nice but we felt like it was too pricey. We go to a lot of Japanese Steakhouses and feel like there was a large upcharge here. Guess that's typical being in a hotel. For the price of the food, we felt like parts of the meal could have been better. The quality of the shrimp, for example was mediocre. Very disappointed in that dish. The meats were fine but just not seasoned well. Also, I guess we expected more showmanship like what you get at other steakhouses. We just feel like it was a poor value for our money.
I hate to say that once you been to 1 you been to them all. The food is cooked exactly the same. Nothing different here except the price. Try Kobe or another 1 for a lesser price. The ginger dressing on the salads and chicken was not great. I would have preferred Beni's.
This was an average restaurant with above average prices. Our server just plain disappeared at times. Our chef did a nice job with the entertainment and cooking but our food just lacked flavor. If the price was about half of what it was this would have been a good value.
It was fine, no complaints. Food was good, nothing unusual. Seemed like the staff was rushed, but the restaurant was not overly busy. Prices were on par with what you would expect to pay for hotel foodvat a resort, meaning on the high side. But it wasn't outrageous.
Enjoyed dinner twice at Mikado while attending week-long business conference. Consistently delicious food and fantastic, attentive staff. Only negative: please repair the uptake/exhaust
fan(s) serving the 1st area on the left - it does not vent properly.
