Food was not as good as other “cook in front of you” restaurants, except for the Tiger Prawns. Ginger dressing was spicy and the flavors of the vegetables and rice were mediocre. Very pricey - my meal was $70! Wouldn’t go back!

Our chef is fun and skilled. The food is great. Better than lots of other teppanyaki places I've been to. The service was a little slow. We waited quite a long time to get started and wait for the desert and the bill.

We had 7 guests in our party and 2 of our guests had to sit BEHIND the chef. But we had a lovely time and will be back on April 13th - 4 of us and hopefully with the chef very visible. We have been coming to Mikado since our 22 year old grandson was a tot. He will be with us on the 13th - and it will be our 55th wedding anniversary!!! The Griffith reservation April 13th 6:30. See you then!!

A fun and entertaining dining experience with a nice group of strangers. Our chef was fabulous-very engaging, full of jokes, and played to our table. The meals were very good with huge portions-we brought enough home for another meal. The tofu steaks were properly prepared and the ginger dressing is some of the best around. The beverage list (wine and beer) was average and the waitstaff did a great job of meeting our needs. We did not order mixed drinks, however the martinis looked beautiful with some special effects!

Very expensive for the quality of food. It is entertaining but a little too much. Salad, Miso soup and even rice are not great, just ok. It is a lots of food so we shared the main dish, but they charged $30 for sharing to cover, Rice, salads or Mido soup, a couple of shrimp, fried vegi and green tea ice cream. That is very expensive should be much less than $30.

We haven’t been to the Mikado for years. We really enjoyed ourselves. Stick to the basic dinners and you can’t go wrong. I had the steak and my husband the combo. Plenty to eat and veggies, too. Entrance process is odd—you need to wait until there are 8 to seat. The reception doesn’t explain that and the bar area isn’t prepared to serve drinks to those waiting. We would go back!

What a great dinner! There were four groups at at our table and the chef made us all feel like we were one group. Not only was the food great, but he was hilarious. To top it off the head chef stopped by and with a beautiful voice sang us a song.

The food and chef were great as usual. We were seated very late at a table poorly located at the back and meal Service also started late. This was the last seating of the evening so it was quite late when we finished.

This was a disappointment twice. It satisfies the 5 year old who loves the show but even he has to wait too long for that. The service is incredibly slow--we waited 15+ minutes to be seated even with the earliest reservations and did not have anything to eat for an hour. The food is indifferent, with huge waste--most of it seems to be uneaten--huge amounts of vegetables and rice that no one really wants. The entire experience was an expensive 2 hours, with satisfied but tired 3 and 5 year olds and disgruntled adults. To boot, we didn't see one female chef. This needs an entire makeover.

A little pricy, but an enjoyable evening. Our chef, Daniel, brought great enthusiasm to his work. The food was good and served In plentiful portions. This is a great once a year destination. (Please note that the restaurant itself could benefit from some refurbishment.)

We were not informed it was a pre set menu. The two choices made no sense. We did not want steak, shrimp,chicken and lobster. So we had to choose the more expensive option.

Place seemed rundown, smelled like used wet rags, did not seem very sanitized, had not been there in a year, but definitely will not go back, did not seem like they had sufficient staff.
