The word ‘Miijidaa’ is from the Ojibway language that loosely translates to “let’s eat”. It's a celebration of our roots, foods, wine + brews; a chance to showcase cuisines that influenced our culinary landscape and to show off our northern bounty.

There are many influences in what has come to define "Canadian" cuisine starting with the First Nations, followed by the influences of the French, English, Vikings, Portuguese and more. Our menu is a modern take on our northern gastronomic history with each cuisine and tradition inspiring the tapestry of our culinary landscape that we hope to celebrate on our menu.

Warm welcome and had our reserved table ready. Friendly and attentive service with helpful menu options. The food and drinks were exceptional. We enjoyed an espresso martini and the homemade Lemonade for drinks. Then we shared the goat cheese appetizer and it was delicious. For mains our group had the beef cheeks, potato pizza, 3 sister salad, roasted chicken and Mac & cheese. Everyone loved their food and it was presented very beautifully. We managed to have room to share 2 desserts for the group and the Apple crumble and chocolate torte were Devine! I highly recommend this restaurant and hope to return if we are in Guelph again.

Didn’t taste like roasted pickle beets in the salad and I’ve had the salad before. Tea was lukewarm and had to be redone . Server was lovely , maybe just an off day in the kitchen

Hi Karen, I've spoken with the Chef and he's checked in with his team to make sure that the consistency is there with the beets. You have a keen palate, so thank you for noticing that they weren't up to our normal standard. Apologies for the lukewarm tea, as a tea drinker myself I know how unsatisfactory that can be. I've spoke to our beverage team to make sure we are aware of tea temperatures moving forward. It's rare we end up with a lukewarm pot but on busy days it can happen. We hope to see you again soon. Our server, Liam, was fantastic! We had lots of little requests and he attended to every single one of them cheerfully and perfectly. One of the best servers of any restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We’d said in the reservation that one of our group was moving away this weekend, and Liam was sure to mention that to her, and Miijidaa provided a gift card as a gift to our friend! Such kind and appreciated gestures.

A lovely birthday lunch at Miijidaa with cousins on Friday. Both the service and the food were wonderful - do choose the delicious trout with the fresh salads for a marvelous lunchtime experience. The bonus birthday gift was much appreciated and will bring us back.

One of the most abysmal service experiences I have had in years. Waited 15 minutes to be greeted and brought a glass of water. Asked for a taste of wine and waiter said: “it’s oaky but if you have to have a taste I’ll bring you one. What do you want for your main?” Keep in mind this is the first time he had come over to my table….skipped the wine taste and just ordered a glass and my main, since he seemed in a rush. Waited 20 mins to get my wine. Ate 1/2 my salad since he did not ask if I wanted a large or small salad (I would have ordered small if he had asked). He never checked on me again, despite knowing I wanted to order take out. Waited another 20 mins to see him again in order to order my take out. I saw him more, after I had paid my bill, waiting for my take out, after the patio cleared out of customers, as he was cleaning the tables, than I ever saw him during my entire meal. I was almost in tears by the time I left as it was such a negative dining experience. If I ever get food from Mijiidaa again, it will be take out or delivery only.
