Daniel Serfer, a Miami native, opened his first restaurant, Blue Collar, in January 2012. Frequented by locals and visitors alike, Blue Collar offers American comfort food in a casual setting.
Drawing on the success of Blue Collar, Mignonette provides an approachable, fun environment where patrons can enjoy a dozen oysters, a bottle of champagne, classic seafood preparations like Oysters Rockefeller and Clams Casino, and a Fancy shellfish tower. Once again driven to create the kind of restaurant he enjoys, Serfer is excited to bring a unique oyster bar experience to the guests who have made Blue Collar so popular.
This place is wholesome and delicious. Some of the best seafood at a reasonable price in Miami. Salads and sides are also worth having. A great place all round!
Excellent food and service as usual. Enjoyed by family members from here and out of town!
Love this place it is our neighborhood gem and whenever someone wants to dine in my neighborhood this is where I recommend
Mignonette is a beautiful restaurant that is well-located in relation to the Arscht Center. The food is sublime and the service professional and friendly. We will most definitely return.
My wife and I went here before Lion King at Arscht and we were very impressed! The service and the food were both great! My wife had the sea bass and I had the octopus. We also had the beet salad and the meringue. We will definitely go back, and we recommend this place to anyone!
Always delicious and the best oysters in Miami--bar no one!! Whole fish and simple grilled options are the best and sides are fantastic.
Been there several times, nice place, frequently great food and service.
However food this time was considerable off on cooked oysters and crab cake; seared scallops were consistent with what we've experienced before there.
After 2/3 fail on apps, decided to leave it there for the day; will return at some point.
Food and service excellent as always.
Oysters were fresh and delicious.
Service was prompt and courteous as always.
Great place for an early dinner before a show.
Fish and veggies were amazing.
Can’t ws to go back.
Service is really very bad, ambiance is not pleasant, food is OK, attitude is pretentious. A place where you do not feel comfortable and enjoy your meal, you really wants to finish it and leave as fast as you can
Everything we ordered was really good!
Loved it! Great flavors, fresh ingredients and great customer service. Love the feel of an old diner!
Service was really good but food was really above average. The mussels in white wine were excellent. The crab cake was grease and one side was burned; sad because it could have been good. The scallops also little burned. The shrimp cocktail was ok but the plating was not good. The two glasses of white wine that I had were ok ( Sancerre and Sauvignon). The lady that helps us was really nice and kind!
Maybe was a bad day for the cook.
Triple tail crudo Special was exactly that. Great paired with Olema Chardonnay. Brittney’s recommendations were outstanding
Have been to this restaurant before. We arrived an hour before their stated closing time. Still, staff was cleaning up around us clearly starting to close. The entree portions of scallops and their “signature” crispy skin snapper were skimpy, especially at $ 28 and $ 27 respectively, and not even particularly good. When we protested, the kitchen did send out another scallop along with the message that we had 5 minutes to order anything more because they were about to close.
If you are going to charge high prices, you can’t skimp on quality and then rush your customers through their meal.
Great food -- since I'm on a low-carb diet, I liked it that I could get a green vegetable with my scallops. Excellent carrot cake for dessert.
Very nice and quiet restaurant. Great place for a good conversation and good food.
Courteous staff and excellent recommendations.
The food was fantastic, and so was the service. No wonder we have dined at Mignonette any times.
What a find! Sophisticated, imaginative food in an emerging Miami neighborhood. Near Adrienne Arscht Center for the Performing Arts, Perez Art Museum, Knight Concert Hall among other cultural institutions. What we had: half Maine lobster tail; creamy polenta; roasted beets with goat cheese; clam chowder (with whole, steamed open clams). Especially good for vegetarians - super good vegetable sides. Very fresh fish, too.
The lemon pavlova is one of the greatest desserts I’ve ever had- do yourself a favor and try it!!
The katama oysters were incredible!
Food fresh and delicious
Staff courteous and friendly.
Mignonett is a little gem in midtown with a wonderful light filled dinning room attentive service and all the oysters you can wish for except no Wellfleet the night I ate there
the Octopus was perfectly grilled on a bed of lentils with bacon
red fish comes plain or fancy the fancy on a bed of rock shrimp /rice It was delicious
We came here 3 years ago on Easter and decided it was time to come back. We remember the food being amazing. The menu has changed quite a bit, but for the better. There are a lot more vegetarian options now. The seafood options are abundant! I had the popcorn conch and crab cake as an appetizer. The conch was to die for! I had the lobster benedict. You can choose or side with it, and I chose the Brussel sprouts in vinegarette and bacon. Delicious! My daughter got the French toast with homemade potato chips. Super yummy! We shared a nice rosé wine. My other daughter got the cauliflower as a side and it was her favorite!
The wine menu is the best! It gives you wines by color, taste, price, and what foods it goes well with! What a great selection!
We had tons of leftovers. If the restaurant was closer to us, I’m sure we would go more often. We will have to keep it as a special occasion place to visit on holidays.
We booked our reservations for 11:30am, when they open. It was perfect because we had the entire restaurant to ourselves and it was quite. As we were leaving almost 2 hours later it was really starting to get busy.
Quite expensive but overall good food
Waited 20 minutes with a reservation. Busy night. Excellent food though
Awesome Spot for dining. Food is always fresh and tasty
Always great quality seafood, nice non-pretentious environment with good food and friendly service! A go to for date casual date night.
Great meal after attending a performance at Adrienne Arsch Center. Oysters Rockefeller were amazing; Smoked trout chowder incredible; red snapper was perfectly crisp. Can’t wait to go back!
We were in Miami for our grandson who was preforming at the Arsht Center and were looking for a restaurant nearby. It was our great luck to find Mignonette!!!
The service was incredible. Everything our server suggested was excellent. From the oysters, to the grilled octopus to the ceviche and the fish entrees. It was all extremely fresh and well prepared.
This restaurant is a gem. Whether you're a local or in from out of town I'd highly recommend it.
The waitress Tamar was attentive , and super good. The food was just mediocre. We had the popcorn shrimp, the breading was a cornmeal and did not adhere to the shrimp. We also ordered the red fish and the snapper. Our fish was ordinary and our vegetables; Brussels sprouts which was recommended and cauliflower with a roe dressing were both inedible.
The whole fish was outstanding! My sister had the scallops and were great, worth the trip.
Mignonette is small-ish, quiet-ish and unflashy-ish on a random corner in town. And they are cooking some wonderful and skillful classics in an old-school setting. We had dinner at flashier places whilst in Miami and this may hav been our favorite. Highly recommended.
I'm often in this place, but something going wrong with the kitchen. My favorite dish there is scallops. This time it was extremely overcooked. I was starving, so I ate it, but it was far from perfect. Cauliflower was amazing. Our server, lady with short hair, I believe her name is Tamar was amazing also. Super friendly, knowledgeable and refilled water so fast. 5 stars to her, but kitchen needs to improve.
Service was great!!! Food was incredible. Prices are very reasonable for Miami. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit off putting, but inside is cute.
Guter freundlicher Service.
Excellent food and service. Try the Red Fish, the Fancy way.
I wife and I really enjoyed our date night here on Friday, March 29, 2019. The The octopus appetizer and the branzino special or phenomenal. The snapper was just okay. The west coast oysters were really good, we liked them better than the east coast ones.
We've been coming to Mignonette for long time. We or any of our friends NEVER were disappointed with the food. It's always great. You can close your eyes and choose anything from the menu. They know a thing or two about seafood and how to add taste to fresh products.
Service and food are great!
