About Mignonette Downtown
Mignonette is a Miami oyster bar brought to you by Chef Daniel Serfer and Ryan Roman. We have a great selection of oysters, seafood and veggies.
Daniel Serfer, a Miami native, opened his first restaurant, Blue Collar, in January 2012. Frequented by locals and visitors alike, Blue Collar offers American comfort food in a casual setting attached to a hooker motel.
Drawing on the success of Blue Collar, Mignonette provides an approachable, fun environment where patrons can enjoy a dozen oysters, a bottle of champagne, classic seafood preparations like Oysters Rockefeller and Clams Casino, and a Fancy shellfish tower. Once again driven to create the kind of restaurant he enjoys, Serfer is excited to bring a unique oyster bar experience to the guests who have made Blue Collar so popular. This new spot isn’t attached to a hooker motel, but since oysters are an aphrodisiac, you may end up back at the motel when all is said and done.

Mignonette Downtown Ratings and Reviews
I’ve always considered Mignonette one of the best restaurants in Miami, and the mussels in spicy red sauce a great dish. Having had the mussels on many occasions I know what they be. Unfortunately this time the sauce was very thick and extremely spicy which completely masked any taste of the mussels. In addition, my bowl contained way too many shards of broken shell. Portion size is smaller than it used to be. Sure hope this experience was a one time fluke.
The oysters were not very good. The butter lettuce salad had too much dressing, and awful croutons, the snow crab claw was pretty bad, but the crispy snapper and asparagus were both delicious, as was the lamb chops, and the wine selection was good and well priced. The hot bread was also quite good. It is possible to have a very good meal here if you pick the right food...
Mignonette is already one of my top 3 restaurants in Miami, but the food during this last trip may have been the best I've had there. Lobster deviled eggs, scallops with dirty polenta, and brussel sprouts to start, full yellowtail snapper with chips for the main.
Only negative - the waiter told us the restaurant was completely out of Malbec and Cabernet, but didn't honor the lower price for the alternative wine we ordered or otherwise make up for it. I'll live.
Visiting with my wife from Chicago. We loved everything about our meal. Unpretentious, exceptionally prepared foods with delicious ingredients. We had the special appetizer, hamachi with blood orange and jalepeno. After the very fresh Boston bib lettuce salad with buttermilk dressing (and slightly spiced croutons that were clearly homemade), we shared a whole snapper made in a toasty buerre blanc. For sides we did the peas and saured artichoke hearsts.
Obviously we do not lack for great restaurants in Chicago. But if this one were there, we'd go regularly!
Great oyster selection and well shucked. Im a fan of this restaurant. Love the twin lobster SA tails, one of the best i’ve ever tried. We ordered almost every side on the menu since my wife dont eat anything that comes from the sea, the only ones we liked were the mushrooms, asparagus and cauliflower, the rest of them we do not recommend to try. The dessert was also great. One of my top 5 places to dine in Miami 😃. Also great service by the way !
Was looking for a close restaurant with good vegetarian options and came across this place. Absolutely amazing! Only one vegetarian-ish option in the main course menu but the veggie selection was definitely enough and definitely delightful. The waitress suggested dish alterations to make them vegetarian and I was not disappointed at all.
We enjoyed our pre-theatre dinner at Mignonette. The restaurant is in a converted gas station and the decor is delightfully unpretentious but comfortable. Our meals were excellent. I ordered the vegetable plate, choosing roasted cauliflower, braised artichokes, asparagus, and greens with viniagrette. I judge restaurants by the quality of their side dishes as much as the entrees, and was very pleased with the quality and individual preparation. Looking forward to visiting Mignonette again.
