Mignon - Prime Steaks, Seafood and Cocktails Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I steaks were cooked perfectly and the service was excellent. The wine list was very extensive with very good wines from all over the world. The sauces were very close to being really good but the cooks or the chefs need to do a little better job at tasting what they're sending out, because a little less of this or that in a sauce can ruin it. I was disappointed.
This a lovely restaurant; the wait staff and hostesses are all very congenial and energetic. The food is very good especially for such an important holiday as Thanksgiving, many of the dishes are reminiscent of home cooked dishes ( sweet potatoes and Mac & Cheese) and others have the French flair (turkey) which make it all the more enjoyable. We probably will be coming here for Thanksgiving dinner as long as the proprietors wish to open up for the folks who prefer to enjoy Thanksgiving without all the work for themselves!
Attended with a group of 10 for their Thanksgiving day buffet. Food was good but I thought the mandatory 20% gratuity was a little steep considering it was a buffet. The server made a $100 tip off bringing us water and iced tea.
This was our first time at Mignon, and we went for their Thanksgiving buffet. It was excellent. Everything was delicious, and the staff made sure the items were always available and hot. Our reservations were rather early (11:30 a.m.), and the restaurant was not yet crowded. As the afternoon progressed, I could see where only having one buffet line may be a problem. Our waiter, Nichols was excellent as well. He checked on us frequently to make sure that we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend Mignon.
We enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving Day buffet that served the traditional turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans and pumpkin pie, as well as choices of salad, grilled salmon, mashed sweet potatoes and an array of other desserts. It was nice being in a restaurant where you could carry on a conversation without loud music or a game on TV blaring. Delicious food and impeccable service.
Our experience was fantastic! The server was personable and knowledgable. For our appetizer, we had the calamari. It was lightly breaded and came with a delicious sauce. My husband had the petit bib salad and I had the lobster bisque. Both were fresh and fantastic. Our entrees were the lamb and the filet mignon. My husband said it was the best lamb he had ever had. The filet was like butter. It was seasoned well and so tender and juicy. For dessert, we had the creme brulee. It was difference than normal creme brulee, because instead of vanilla, it was made of white chocolate and cinnamon. Everything we had was delicious and worth the money.
Our experience was good. Food was well prepared. We called an audible on "no mashed potato" and got some excellent asparagus instead with no problems. Owner came buy to visit and took the time to really get our opinion as opposed to the fly by to check. We will go back.
Our server was very good, we set in the patio area found it to be loud and not as elegant as the indoors area.
Food in over all was good but be prepared to pay big bucks. We have eaten at several high in restaurants and this was the highest bill we have ever paid for a meal and food was not as good as other restaurants.
Classy upscale dining experience. We had brunch with delicious French Press coffee. I had the seafood crepe which had fresh seafood and was prepared perfectly. My husband had the steak omelette and said it was delicious! Excellent service- have never been disappointed!
Had dinner on the patio with another couple. The ambience is amazing and the food and service are great! We shared the Brussel sprout fritters and foie gras appetizers. The gentlemen had steak dishes and the ladies had the Chilean sea bass. For dessert, we shared the creme brûlée, the bread pudding and the assortment of ice creams (lavender honey ice cream is to die for). Fantastic meal. Bill was high but you get what you pay for. There were no complaints from any of us.
Couldn't be happier with Mignon. This place has been a favorite for a while but it just keeps getting better. The service is worthy of a Michelin rating. The wine list is worthy of a Wine Spectator article. The food is amazing. And the owners are warm, inviting, and clearly passionate about their creation.
Have been eating with these guys since they opened, and they continue to provide wonderful dining experiences. this dinner was typical with cocktails, appetizer (foie gras), salad (mission fig), and beef tenderloin au poivre, plus potato, green beans and broccoli rabe. food was well-executed across the board, and Edwin is a fantastic server with great knowledge of food, wine, and people (he really is great to dine with). from the entrance, to the conversations with the owners, and coffee/dessert , it is always like eating with the better part of the family. always look forward to the next visit, whether lunch, brunch or dinner.
I came for the foie gras and they said it was only for the dinner menu but he'll ask the chef. They let me order it for lunch and it was HUUGE. So thankful. Of course, their mussels are to die for. I love their mussels. The best ever. Yummm Their crusted trout is also wonderful.
