Went here for a date with my fiancée and we couldn't have been more pleased. Andrew was a fantastic server and both my fiancée and I thought the food was amazing. It isn't cheap, but it's worth every penny. Definitely will be keeping this one in mind for the future.
Service was great, the food was good, the price was a little high for the quality, but not by too much.
Our waiter was awesome! Very personable and conscientious.
Always a good time ...Great food and a Nice quiet atmosphere
The ambience was very nice and conducive to enjoying a great dinner. Everything we ordered was done exactly to our tastes. Service was excellent and not intrusive. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This is one of the best kept secrets in North Dallas. Food is 5 star as is the service and you can actually have a conversation at your table
Great wine list and the chef is open to any alterations you need on the menu
I highly highly recommend Mignon for any occasion
Service was outstanding... food was ok at best.
We will not be returning.
Beautiful and relaxing for a quiet Easter Brunch. Delicious menu choices, even with a limited holiday menu. Staff was very polite, efficient and accommodating. Not really a negative but personal opinion, could have done without the cheesy Kenny G saxophone soundtrack. It’s a French bistro - would be fun if the music matched the theme! Kind of felt like I was on an elevator.
Always a good experience and excellent food and great people.
Celebrating my birthday it was a fantastic meal like usual , best restaurant in plano in my opinion.
Excellent food! Great service, will definitely be going back.
To Mr. John and The staff,
Well done ! Great place for all occasions !
We always enjoy Mignon. The food, service & atmosphere are great & we are greeted by smiling faces, ready to provide whatever we want.
Steak was perfect
Had a really pleasant dinner with my hubby. We were actually able to talk to each other!
Pleasant waitstaff and delicious meal.
Wish there were a few more choices on the wine by the glass menu.
We will go again.
Always an enjoyable experience. Servers and owner very attentive to all our needs. Food was fabulous. Highly recommend.
Food, Atmosphere and Service .....Great as always
Food and service was excellent.
Waiter was taking our order. Stopped in the middle and left to attend another table. I ordered a steak cooked medium and it came to the table blood rare on only one side. Sent it back and when it returned, it was only cooked to medium rare on one side while the other side was well done. Truffle potato wedges were extremely over cooked.
Food was excellent, service was not to par. It was Valentine Day. We sat down at 6:30. Main meal we did not get until 7:45, couples that came in after us received their meal before us. Not sure if it was kitchen or server mistake or the Restraunt was overbooked. Not sure I can recommend for Holiday's .
Basically, forgettable in every way. Service was slow, the wine list is weak, and the food is simply unremarkable. It's not bad food, just not inspiring. With a price roughly equivalent to Capital Grill, Del Frisco's, or Fearings, it's hard to justify dining here versus one of those alternatives.
Valentines Dinner with wife
Showed up early to get cocktails at the bar. However they only had one bartender working on valentines night and they were packed. Bartender was so busy filling drink orders for the servers that no one at the bar ever got a drink. We sat there for 30 mins and couldnt even get a water.
Once seated the servers were friendly and knowledgable, bu the restaurant was severley overcrowded and under staffed. Took another 20 - 30 mins after our order before we ever got a drink.
My healthy portion of rack of lamb was delicious but under cooked and my wifes chicken was a small portion was dry as a bone.
For the price we paid i expected much better. Probably will not return.
The food was good overall except for the inattentive service.
Valentine’s Day with 2 other couples. Seated in private room much to our surprise. Food was great. Service was attentive. Really nice restaurant. Have been there in past and experience has been positive.
Extremely slow service. They totally could not handle the number of tables booked for Valentine’s Day.
The food could not be better. Overall, 5 stars. Pricey, but tremendous food!
A lovely meal foe Valentine’s Day. Lots of options on the preselected menu
The best thing was the service. A little disappointed about the food. The shrimp was bland and the risotto not quit cooked. The lamb shank was a little overcooked.
A very nice place. Both food and service are great.
Awesome as always
Fabulous menu. Every dish was cooked perfectly and our server Karen was amazing! Owner onsite, interactive with clients and clearly cares. Can’t wait to return!
We always like lunch. We told them it was our anniversary and they put a candle on the cake. Thought we would get a free dessert or champagne as I had signed up for the perks but that did not happen . Considering a special room for a birthday.
We decided to give Mignon a try and it left us with a very perplexing experience. It was dinner time on the weekend and maybe about six people in the restaurant. It was already an uneasy feeling of "where is everyone else?" The ambiance was of a very dated late 90's European Mod look with knickknacks from Kirklands on the wall. Not a competitive look with all of the surrounding restaurants in the area. The centers restaurants were packed and Mignon was virtually empty. The service was excellent however, and we ordered drinks, a few appetizers, various salads, and steak entrees - to our surprise, were all delicious. We ordered a few sides including the lobster macaroni, which was recommended by the server. We all took a bite of the lobster mac and immediately had the same reaction. It was inedible with a very fishy taste, lobster that was like chewing on pencil erasers, and a mac and cheese that would struggle to compete with a Kraft box. We told the server and he apologized and notified the chef. Only the server returns with a response FROM the chef that he "tasted it, and this is exactly how it's supposed to be." Which, fine. . . if that's what it's supposed to taste like, great. . . but the fact that our entire table spit it out might be a problem. Like I said earlier. . . all the other dishes were wonderful, but because of the stubbornness of the back of house, we will not return, nor recommend this restaurant. It's sad because you can sense the desperation of the restaurant trying to stay alive, but unless they are willing to adapt, this will be another casualty of pride and ego.
Mignon remains our favorite restaurant in the North Dallas area. We can always count on it when we have guests, or when we just want a delicious meal in a lovely environment.
Very attentive wait staff. Excellent sommelier! Food was delicious from start to finish .
The food and service was impeccable! Will be back ASAP!
really wonderful first visit, will definitely try again
For Christmas Day, they served buffet food. Almost $400 for 5 people was ridiculous. Would have been fine for maybe half the price.
Lovely buffet for the holiday. Wonderful service. Ran out of desserts and coffee was tepid and weak.
