   Beautiful property. Gorgeous setting . Not really sure why they take reservations for people who are not staying on property. Felt unwelcome . We were made aware more than enough times that they usually do not accommodate outside guests. So why do they? Pretentious and very formal. Staff was very polite and attentive, yet seemed very stressed. We have had the good fortune of being on Sebago Lake for four generations. We were looking forward to a place to recommend to our overflow of summer guests We do not need To return to , nor will we be able to recommend Migis Lodge .

   LL Bean couldn't have wanted it better. The lodge is sequestered under huge white pines along the edge of the most beautiful lake on the East Coast. Cocktails are on the veranda and randomly outside wherever you wish and the cocktail hour is laid-back, as are the table times. Once you have your reservation, the table is yours for the evening, so you go in to eat when you're good and ready. Men must wear a jacket, But otherwise it's country casual. The food is straightforward American fair and is excellent. It will not compete for exotic with the Old Port in downtown Portland, but this is not why you come here. If you want an excellent straightforward meal in an atmosphere that is almost indescribable, but something out of "On Golden Pond", this is your place.!!!
