This gem of a restaurant has been a delight for years, but the food and the wine selection is better than ever! Many of the vegetables and herbs are fresh from the on site garden, or the farms just a few miles away. Seema, the owner, is on hand every day, and is a dynamic and wonderfully friendly host. Bonus: she really knows her wines, and adds a well chosen unusual, and diverse wine list . Service is relaxed yet professional.
In a growing city with more trendy shiny new dining options coming on to the scene every day, do not miss the opportunity to try Miel again if it’s been a while...you won’t be disappointed!
Always an outstanding meal and great experience. Seema is a pleasure and the space is inviting. The food and beverage selection is absolutely top notch
Baked eggs in tomato sauce was lovely. Parmesan stuffed brioche was hard. Salmon poke was perfectly balanced. Overall, food was very good.
Tip of the cap to my new friends at Miel for their upcoming 10 year anniversary. To survive through the economic highs and lows, to thrive in this market for that long is a testament to the quality experience they provide.
Great time! Live Jazz and a Crawfish Boil! The sides of cornbread, boiled potatoes and sausage and corn on the cob complimented the bottomless bowl of freshly cooked crawfish. I had forgotten how much work it is to get a bite. Definitely worth the effort.
Although live jazz is not always there, it was a wonderful treat with the menu.
I always have a wonderful time at Miel. My mother and I decided to attend the crawfish boil this past Sunday and everything was exceptional. The food, the service, the music all of it was fabulous. We especially loved those smoked sugar beignets!
I had to choose a restaurant (long distance via Google) for an upcoming post-opening at LeQuire Gallery. The website was so inviting and menu so interesting it was not difficult to know I made a good choice. Our server David made sure we were expertly taken care of, and host/restaurateur Seema Prasad is brilliant, lovely and amazing. She has the golden touch. Like honey!
Patio dining with impeccable service and expertly curated menu. Seema knows her food!
In a word: Fabulous. We were able to sit outside on the back patio and it was nothing short of perfect. The food was exceptional and the owner engaging, as was the wait staff. I cannot wait to return.
Incredible. Could not have been better.
The owner is a wonderful hostess and person. Delightful place that reflects her taste.
Seriously....AMAZING!!! One of the best restaurants in Nashville.
Best meal I’ve had in Nashville for many moons
My favorite Nashville restaurant. We've lived here for 11 years but always go back to Miel when we want the best meal with the best ingredients. I always want to order 3 or 4 things off the appetizer list just because they sound amazing. They are. French cooking at its best. Not overcomplicated. Perfect. Always great service, too. A gem in West Nashville.
My husband and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary at Miel. Wish we had started the tradition years ago . Not only was the food delicious, my husband said it was the best fish dish he had Ever had ( Alaskan Halibut ) with interesting combinations of flavors and ingredients but the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming . We had a delightful time talking with Seema and her wait staff. Obviously , they are there to serve and make your visit all that you dreamed it would be. We will be back and we won’t wait for our next anniversary to go !
Always good surprises on the menu. Food, wine list and overall dining experience rivals the best dining in Nashville. Miel keeps getting better and better.
Great food and wine!
The atmosphere was great and the food was awesome. A great selection of wines and the staff was excellent. We will certainly return.
First, let's talk about food: Everything is too salty. The portions are tiny for the price. As an example, only one profiterole is served in your plate. And the tarts look like an amuse bouche.
Most of the dishes in our party were served cold.
Not only the food served in this restaurant does not worst the money you spend, there is a serious issue with honesty in this place. We were a group of 12. We paid the separate bills without paying too much attention to the details since we were chatting a lot. The day after, we realized that we were charged for one supplementary meal and one supplementary glass of wine. I contacted the owner, after being sure that there was no mistakes in the bill of all the other guests. She refused to reimburse us. And she does not want to even have a look to her record. She said that it was our responsibility to check what we were paying for before signing the credit card paper. She is probably right .... But a honest owner will reimburse their customers. She earned $56 more, but she lost 12 potential customers.
We sat outside on patio which was wonderful
Amazing food; exceptional service
Excellent food and great service. Warm and welcoming environment.
My third visit, and my second time bringing out-of-town family. An excellent selection of vegetables, meat, and fish, prepared creatively and perfectly flavored and seasoned. We cleaned off every plate. The cocktail and wine selection complement the food well. The service is terrific, and everyone at the restaurant is warm and welcoming. We'll be coming back again!
Our service was fabulous. Can’t say enough about our experience.
Admittedly, Miel is my favorite restaurant in Nashville. You just can't miss with ANYTHING you order. The menu is varied enough that everyone can find something, but it does not make you suffer through too many choices. You may need to be willing to take a leap on something that sounds unusual, but you will have no regrets. The amuse bouche always sets the tone, getting you ready for something unexpected, but delightful.
The cuisine is imaginative, beautifully presented, and very rich. Where else is schmaltz served with your bread? Nice servers and pleasing atmosphere, plus easily accessed location with good parking. Not much on the menu for vegetarians.
This is my wife's and my favorite restaurant in Nashville. We had our rehearsal dinner here, we loved it so much.
Seema is a wine expert that gets the best wines from small vineyards around the world. Bottles start at $35+. Never had a bad bottle.
Happy Hour is 5:30-6:30pm and has $5 glass of wine. No cheap stuff here. Each happy hour glass is well worth $12+.
Food is amazing. Pork Shoulder is a family favorite.
I have a gluten allergy and they are very accommodating. Even make their own gluten-free bread!
Highly recommend Miel. Everything about is it amazing.
My husband and I have been to Miel several times with great food, wine and service. Last Saturday we went and were so disappointed. Our waitress was sweet but she had too many tables. The food was just ok. We got an appetizer that neither of us could eat-it was too vinegary! My fish was served just barely warm. The waitress was so busy I didnt want to ask her to heat it up.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere all around. I would definitely recommend this as a great date spot or a nice place to get together with a moderately sized group.
Great inspired French food. To my pleasure the chef keeps upping his game. Terrific!
For a $300 meal for 2, felt rushed, food was a bit salty and too edgy without much flavor. Ambiance was good.
Miel never disappoints. Service first rate. Food always tremendous and adventuresome. Seema makes you feel welcome in so many ways
One great restaurant. Attentive service, great wine list and spectacular food. Wonderful evening.
Fabulous food! Really enjoyed the attentive service and the delicious food. Had a medley of dishes, particularly enjoyed the beef cheeks.
Nice quiet Saturday night with my wife and Miel was our choice. Another wonderful dinner, this restaurant continues to developed and offer new and creative dishes. My wife had the goose special which was delicious.
Miel keeps re-becoming my favorite restaurant in Nashville. The chef is talented. There was a vegan or vegetarian risotto on the menu, but in the mood for more vegetables I asked for something based on vegetables. He made me something I have never had before and might never get to have again. it was a cabbage steak, layered with other vegetables some of which were grilled and then there were subtle Thai flavorings over the top. it was a sophisticated and creative dish. The restaurant is always conducive to good conversation.
Another lovely & delicious MIEL dinner!
Never disappoints. Best gimlet, wonderful lamb starter, awesome salad, perfect entrees and a few yummy sweet bites to finish👍
Seema & entire staff are passionate, knowledgeable & so committed to their guests!
Our new favorite restaurant. Locally owned with local food sources and a commitment to making the dining experience personalized and excellent. Inventive menu. Friendly staff and owner. Will come back many times.
I took a friend to Miel for her birthday. The meal was delicious and beautifully prepared. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and wines, and helped us choose just the right things. We thought we would need to-go boxes, but we ended up eating everything. This is one of my favorite restaurants, and Seema always makes me feel welcome.
