My favorite Nashville restaurant. We've lived here for 11 years but always go back to Miel when we want the best meal with the best ingredients. I always want to order 3 or 4 things off the appetizer list just because they sound amazing. They are. French cooking at its best. Not overcomplicated. Perfect. Always great service, too. A gem in West Nashville.

My husband and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary at Miel. Wish we had started the tradition years ago . Not only was the food delicious, my husband said it was the best fish dish he had Ever had ( Alaskan Halibut ) with interesting combinations of flavors and ingredients but the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming . We had a delightful time talking with Seema and her wait staff. Obviously , they are there to serve and make your visit all that you dreamed it would be. We will be back and we won’t wait for our next anniversary to go !

Always good surprises on the menu. Food, wine list and overall dining experience rivals the best dining in Nashville. Miel keeps getting better and better.

First, let's talk about food: Everything is too salty. The portions are tiny for the price. As an example, only one profiterole is served in your plate. And the tarts look like an amuse bouche.
Most of the dishes in our party were served cold.
Not only the food served in this restaurant does not worst the money you spend, there is a serious issue with honesty in this place. We were a group of 12. We paid the separate bills without paying too much attention to the details since we were chatting a lot. The day after, we realized that we were charged for one supplementary meal and one supplementary glass of wine. I contacted the owner, after being sure that there was no mistakes in the bill of all the other guests. She refused to reimburse us. And she does not want to even have a look to her record. She said that it was our responsibility to check what we were paying for before signing the credit card paper. She is probably right .... But a honest owner will reimburse their customers. She earned $56 more, but she lost 12 potential customers.

My third visit, and my second time bringing out-of-town family. An excellent selection of vegetables, meat, and fish, prepared creatively and perfectly flavored and seasoned. We cleaned off every plate. The cocktail and wine selection complement the food well. The service is terrific, and everyone at the restaurant is warm and welcoming. We'll be coming back again!

Admittedly, Miel is my favorite restaurant in Nashville. You just can't miss with ANYTHING you order. The menu is varied enough that everyone can find something, but it does not make you suffer through too many choices. You may need to be willing to take a leap on something that sounds unusual, but you will have no regrets. The amuse bouche always sets the tone, getting you ready for something unexpected, but delightful.

The cuisine is imaginative, beautifully presented, and very rich. Where else is schmaltz served with your bread? Nice servers and pleasing atmosphere, plus easily accessed location with good parking. Not much on the menu for vegetarians.

This is my wife's and my favorite restaurant in Nashville. We had our rehearsal dinner here, we loved it so much.

Seema is a wine expert that gets the best wines from small vineyards around the world. Bottles start at $35+. Never had a bad bottle.

Happy Hour is 5:30-6:30pm and has $5 glass of wine. No cheap stuff here. Each happy hour glass is well worth $12+.

Food is amazing. Pork Shoulder is a family favorite.

I have a gluten allergy and they are very accommodating. Even make their own gluten-free bread!

Highly recommend Miel. Everything about is it amazing.

My husband and I have been to Miel several times with great food, wine and service. Last Saturday we went and were so disappointed. Our waitress was sweet but she had too many tables. The food was just ok. We got an appetizer that neither of us could eat-it was too vinegary! My fish was served just barely warm. The waitress was so busy I didnt want to ask her to heat it up.

Sadly disappointed.

Miel keeps re-becoming my favorite restaurant in Nashville. The chef is talented. There was a vegan or vegetarian risotto on the menu, but in the mood for more vegetables I asked for something based on vegetables. He made me something I have never had before and might never get to have again. it was a cabbage steak, layered with other vegetables some of which were grilled and then there were subtle Thai flavorings over the top. it was a sophisticated and creative dish. The restaurant is always conducive to good conversation.

I took a friend to Miel for her birthday. The meal was delicious and beautifully prepared. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and wines, and helped us choose just the right things. We thought we would need to-go boxes, but we ended up eating everything. This is one of my favorite restaurants, and Seema always makes me feel welcome.

have dined at Miel many times and have enjoyed it very much as that is why we kept returning, however made reservations for New Year’s Eve expecting their usual consistency and flavorful dishes, was completely surprised as they entrees were very disappointing and in some instances were not good. Our table of 4 is still discussing the “ice cube thing”.
The atmosphere was devoid of any reference to New Years Eve as a matter of fact the only decorations were pumpkins I would assume were left over from Thanks Giving.
Sema, have you lost your game, News Years was a complete bust. My wife said she is now afraid to continue recommending you restaurant. Sorry but that is the truth after our New Years Eve Dissapointment.

The New Years Eve menu was not expected to be a small tasting menu which left us very hungry after the dinner. The cost was very high considering the menu selections and we were expecting something different. I love this place, so I know we will be back.

Having moved to Dallas several years ago, we always make it a priority to dine at Miel when in Nashville. Sema is not just a great restaurant owner, she’s a great human being. So conscientious and creative, and nurtures causes that positively impacts the community. Miel is a real gem!

It was a treat by Grandpa for the family. The service was warm and friendly. The food was good, but not really French . I felt that there were not sufficient options for the main course. We shared plates. They started us off with a complimentary brioche with goat cheese-- really tasty. We ordered the smoked shrimp on toast (would recommend) and the apple with cider and cheese-- excellent, as well. The schmaltz for the bread-- not worth getting (should have been complimentary). The smoked onion soup was really good-- and not French onion soup, but a vegetarian dish. The ravioli with mushrooms was not worth the price. The ravioli itself was not at all delicate. The pork shoulder with gnocchi was excellent. The short ribs was good but not unique. For dessert, the ricotta cheese pastry was not light-- was really a cheesecake, much too heavy for the end of a meal. The apple galette was OK. If you have multiple courses, you will fill up, this is not the place to go and just get the main course.

This was my first time at Miel, and it did not disappoint. My dad was visiting from out of town, and we went for dinner. Our server was awesome- attentive and knowledgeable without hovering or imposing. I had the pork with gnocchi, and my dad had the ravioli. Everything was delicious, and the portion sizes were perfect- not too much food, but still a substantial portion. I can’t wait to go back!
