Great food and wonderful atmosphere. Portion sizes are good, not overwhelming.
The fresh bread and cultures butter is a must! We went with recommendations from the proprietor and our waitress - all were phenomenal. Ingredients are local, seasonal, and wonderfully prepared. The mushroom risotto was a highlight :)
Best food I've ever had. The Chef is creative and mixed ingredients in ways I've never seen before. The champagne and wine list are amazing and we kept the corks so that we could someday splurge and buy them again.
Valentines Day menu looked exciting, so we booked our reservation. The restaurant atmosphere was fantastic. The fact that gratuity was already set at 20% for the Valentines special menu made it seem that the waitstaff was not as attentive as they normally would be. The food was good, but not quite as good as I expected. I’d go back on a normal night to try it again.
Everything at Miel revolves around the kitchen and the food, which is consistently outstanding. Service is unobtrusive. Restaurant is quiet and good for conversation. Minor issues with this restaurant are access to parking, which can be difficult when nearby popular proletarian restaurants are busy, and the chairs and benches for seating could be more comfortable.
Great meal and very well planned! The food was different and good ! The presentation was cool!
Delicious food once again! Had the Valentine's prix fixe and it didn't disappoint. Really enjoyed the dessert plate...sweet, artistic creations. Great for a special, romantic evening. No kids... it would ruin the ambiance.
Miel's rustic approach food with fresh herbs (from their garden) and locally sourced vegetables and meats cooked to perfection is something to treat your friends to. Our service was great, the food was delicious and ambiance of the banquet room was a special treat.
Lovely restaurant! The proprietor was incredibly attentive towards dietary needs. I would highly recomend.
The food was fantastic again, can't wait to come back.
Our experience at Miel was wonderful. Tristan, our server was informative, but not pretentious; engaging, but not irritating. The meal was beautifully prepared and presented in a timely manner. We will definitely be back:)
Always a fantastic experience at Miel! The cocktails were superb, the food is fresh and outstanding, the service friendly and attentive, the vibe modern and laid back. With so many great places now to eat in Nashville, don't forget about Miel. It's still one of the best!
What a great restaurant. Warm reception and attentive service. Food was outstanding.
Absolutely perfect every time. Guest in from out of town. Food, ambiance, and service were wonderful. I can't recommend this place enough!!
We had friends visiting for the weekend and chose to take them to Miel to show off one of our favorite restaurants in town. It did not disappoint! Friends are still raving!
They were a little off this time. Very slow getting the food out, sat at 7:30, entrees didn’t arrive til 9:15. Food was very good as usual, maybe an off night.
I found Miel to be both charming and delicious. I loved everything about it. I can't believe it took me so long to try it. I'll be back. Thank you.
Neighborhood gem. Our go to place !
Miel never disappoints. The food and the service is fabulous. One of our favorite restaurants.
Food and service was wonderful! Highly recommend.
All good. Nice quiet nite on a cold winter night
One of our favorite entertainments in Nashville is to have a great dining experience. This includes unique meal options that are well presented, timely, and not something you have at home. Also, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to provide that fun culinary experience. Miel is just that place.
But, Miel offers even more in the way of a social conscious in its search to offer local food and as a community member in its pursuit to make Davidson County a better place to live. I commend Miel for its many services.
While I usually love this restaurant, I experienced exceptionally bad service and hospitality during my last visit. We waited over 30 minutes past our reservation before being seated and, even after that, our meal was over three hours long (not to our fault). The food and wine were subpar and extremely overpriced. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to a restaurant that I used to adore.
We went for New Years Eve. The fixed-price menu was interesting and the food itself was delicious, but it seemed like they were more ambitious than their service capacity allowed. The server was pleasant but the service overall was disorganized, and the timing was off; they seemed overwhelmed. They didn't seem to have an actual bartender, so the hostess and others were making drinks. The wine paired with the first (seafood) course was served 30+ minutes before the course arrived. The course itself -- oyster, king crab with smoked butter, and prawn, was exceptional. But wine pairings have a point, which is to actually pair with the food. The mackerel/salad course was omitted entirely. After we commented, they brought it in the middle of the meat course, without explanation. At the high price, the experience -- though not the food itself -- was somewhat of a disappointment. We would recommend for the actual food, but maybe avoid major event days.
Amazing restaurant with cool, calm ambience. Food was amazing, unique, fresh, and Nashville farm/ranch-to-table! Owner served tables and was delightful, informative, in her element. A true addition to Nashville’s fine dining experience. Will come bask for sure.
Warm cabbage, schmaltz, and the sweet potato risotto were amazing!
Amazing food. Highly recommend the bone marrow and the pork shoulder! We would totally come back next time we are in Nashville for a nice dinner.
Sima has run this extraordinary restaurant since day 1. Opened when the location was pregentrification, it now sits in one of the hottest neighborhoods not just for new arrivals or the under 30 crowd.
Celebrated its 10 year late last year and I pray I can eat there a decade from now! If you want to go call and ask Sima what you want to know about and you will get truthful answers from a true foodie, not someone who wants all possible questioners to be patrons but only those who seem like they will love Miel as much as I do.
Great food. Excellent wine. Awesome ambiance.
Can’t go wrong !
One of the most underrated and best restaurants in Nashville. Consistently good and off the beaten path. A gem off of Charlotte in a cozy dining room. Very knowledgeable staff.
This is a GREAT venue for business, casual or a date. Authentic French, great wine selection and impeccable service.
Our favorite! We go for all of our special occasions as well as bring family and friends!
Arguably our best meal in 15 years of living in Nashville!
Great food, great service!
This was one of the most wonderful meals I've had in Nashville in months. Creative, delicious dishes; fabulous wine and very reasonably priced. I'll be back soon. The cabbage in ham broth is to die for!
I had Miel on my 'go to' list for quite a while. The atmosphere was wonderful - cozy, dim lighting, fresh smells from the kitchen. Get there early and enjoy a fantastic happy hour! What I wasn't crazy about was the confusing and limited menu. I am a game diner, so I have seen all sorts of menus, but there wasn't a particular'stand out' on this one. Even the wait staff had a hard time raving about any particular thing. I ordered the Celery Root side, which was a fabulous light tempura batter in an Asian style pool of sauce with fresh watercress draping it. it reads as fried celery root, but it is a light, fresh, flavorful item. I can't rave about the pork gnocchi. A tad bit vinegary, with gnocchi that was less than authentic. The pork was on the fatty aide with clumps of monzarella that didn't seem to fit. I didn't even bother with dessert. I was glad to finally get to go and mark it off my list, but won't be rushing back.
Overall good. Food was great but price seems off. Love the atmosphere.
Wonderful ambiance, fantastic service, innovative, yet comforting menu!
The service was phenomenal and the atmosphere is welcoming. I'm sure the food is objectively good, but not something my partner and I were used to. It was an overall pleasant experience though and I have a few people in mind to recommend this restaurant to.
