I'm a fan, so...but, even after 10 years, Miel keeps getting better and better. Last night, we had a 45-day dry-aged prime rib that might have been thing to ever happen to a cut of beef, scallops and mushroom dumplings, and desserts that simply stole the show. There are subtle--and I mean beautifully subtle--Japanese notes making their way into the cooking now and if you aren't on the patio RIGHT NOW enjoying a superb, well-chosen cocktail and wine list, why not? The service is as it always has been, the best in town--experienced folks who know the restaurant and have invested time to know the cuisine, the pace, and their customers. There isn't a better dining experience in Nashville where you feel more loved from start to finish. Thank you, Seema, AGAIN.
Their patio is amazing! We went for their happy hour and enjoyed everything. 10/10 recommend! We will be returning soon.
$30 for 4 pieces of pasta. $13 for a quarter head of cabbage. A waiter you have to ask to fill your drinks. No thanks.
This is my new favorite restaurant!! The food was amazing, our server was so down to earth and helpful. The cabbage dish was such a surprising delight, and we loved the pork shoulder dish. I usually like to try new places, but it’s going to be hard not to go back here time and again.
Outstanding time was had by all. Thank you Seema, you and your entire staff are exceptional as always and Andrew is a master of his craft, the entire meal was superb. Service was impeccable and the space inviting.
Love to show Miel off to friends!
Excellent service. Ingredients are fresh and the seasonal menu was very creative and well executed! Highly recommend!
Miel is one of our all-time favorite Nashville restaurants. Excellent in all categories.
Miel is truly a wonderful place to have an excellent meal and enjoy conversation with your friends. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable.
Al fresco dining at its best in Nashville. Food, divine. Perfect for a romantic date.
I think that we found our new favorite restaurant. The food was delicious, and we loved the atmosphere. We loved the bread and butter, both of which are made by the restaurant.
Excellent food excellent ambience and good service. Very accommodating.
Easily the best restaurant in Nashville. We will be frequenting this establishment a lot. Cheers!
Miel is a very creative restaurant. The dishes had well blended flavors. The server was very well informed and attentive. We also enjoyed visiting with the owner.
The slow-poached squid is one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. My mind was blown. The strawberry salad was wonderful with seasonal, local, perfectly ripe strawberries. We ordered the small ramp and morel pasta dish to share, oh my, what a treat. The halibut was delicious, but slightly over-salted for my taste. There was a lovely wine selection as well. I wish we'd had room for desserts because they sounded wonderful.
The feel of the restaurant was warm, intimate and welcoming. The service was friendly, helpful and prompt.
We left satiated, happy and excited to go back.
Tristin, our waiter was attentive, but not overly so. He made recommendations, which we
followed and all was delicious.
This was our first dinner at Miel, but had heard good things.
We will definitely return.
Food was outstanding our server was very sweet and personable... would have liked a better table, was placed at a bar table right at front door but food and service did make up for that
A local secret. Best restaurant in Nashville.
We loved every bite!!! Everything came to the table in good time. The waiter, David, kept our schedule in mind and made good recommendations when asked. We had some spicy toast starter. Very interesting . Very good. We also had a bamboo with white strawberries. Also pretty and very good. The salmon was to die for. Loved loved the salmon!! We had cheesecake for dessert. Amazing cheesecake!! Wish I had the recipe. It was light, lemony, and again beautiful to look at. I'm a romantic and a pretty good cook myself. I appreciate good food with the proper portions served with a creative flare. Thank you so much Miel ❤
Food and service are always top notch here. My most recent visit only confirmed that. My party enjoyed the grouper preparation and the nettles and morels entree. Both were delicious and appropriately portioned. We began with the white asparagus salad and the strawberry salad which were both lovely to the eye and the palate. The drinks we ordered with dinner were also spot on. You can be assured of a wonderful dining experience when making a visit to Miel.
We love Miel!!!
Food was delicious—really interesting and surprising combinations of flavors. Our server, David, was outstanding.
This wonderful restaurant is about the subtleties of fine dining. Nothing is overpowering all is nuanced. It is one of our top three in Nashville.
As always Miel did everything beautifully. Stellar food, fabulous drinks, superb service in a lovely environment. Seema and her team are perfection!
Excellent Halibut. I go often, and one of the best meals I have had at Miel. Split very good salad with my date. More than enough for two. Tasty Old Fashion and plenty of bread to accompany drink which is the way I like it. Nicely busy. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Somewhat noisy early on, but festive. Quieted down later. French press coffee good.
Miel has to be one of the most delightful restaurants in Nashville. We recently took a newly transplanted friend from Memphis and were warmly greeted, treated to a sumptuous meal, and enjoyed deep and enriching conversation over our meal because we were able to hear one another well in the booth where we were seated. After our meal, we toured the garden and the event space. It was a beautiful spring evening, a wood fire was lit on the patio, and the setting in all spaces couldn't be beat. THANK YOU, MIEL, for being a jewel in our community!
Incredible Easter brunch. Especially heavenly crabcake appetizer.
Luckily for us it was pouring with rain outside so the kitchen was cooking for just a few of us! Creative cuisine, leaning on French influence... a delicious, healthy alternative to traditional French food. Friendly attentive staff and the owner was in came by for a chat. They can shake up a good Vodka Martini if you like that sort of thing. We very much enjoyed the evening.
We had a delicious meal, excellently service and lovely patio! Definitely planning to return soon!
As much as I love trying new restaurants, I can't believe I had never been to Miel. I absolutely LOVE this place and it's now my new favorite. Everything was perfect. The food delicious, the service fantastic, and the ambiance best of all. They have truly talent in the kitchen and I can't wait to go back.
Great food, courteous and knowledgeable staff! I love this place!
Great good and service.
Delicious food and the service was perfect. The entire experience was superb.
Really hate to say it, but we did not enjoy Miel. We were seated at 7:30, but the waitress was so slow, we didn't even get our drinks or order our food until 8:15pm. Unfortunately, the service was just so incredibly slow. The food was insanely salty as well. My husband enjoyed the short ribs, but the other dishes were just super salty and we couldn't finish our food. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but just didn't enjoy the service or the food like I thought I would.

Please let us know when you will be joining us. We hope to see you very soon! Kind Regards, Miel
Ate here while on vacation in Nashville. Food and service at Miel were exceptional. The pork shoulder dish was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. And make sure you leave room for dessert. We had the carrot cake and the basque cheesecake and they were to die for. We would have gone back again the next night if we weren’t leaving for home. We’ve eaten at lots of great restaurants around the country and Miel was up there with the best of them.
In the sea of new restaurants opening every week, it seems, in Nashville, this neighborhood gem can be overlooked, but don't! It's cozy, relatively quiet, inventive menu, and a great value. If you are tired of the enormous, noisy dining establishments, book a table here!
We started out with appetizers and wine on the back patio and then moved inside for a delicious dinner . An interesting and eclectic menu . Enjoyed soft shelled crab , carrots and sturgeon for dinner . Everything was delicious and topped it off with Basque cheesecake . Service was great . Miel never disappoints and we look forward to returning .
The bread they make in house is amazing. Recommend highly. Wine list is on point as well.
My wife, daughter, and I have eaten at Miel twice. We enjoyed the food greatly and will certainly return. It is a great value.
I have eaten here before and always enjoyed it. Quit and off the "beaten path" On this occasion, I ordered the braised short ribs, as did another in our party. Mine was about 50% pure fat but my friends was clearly 90% pure fat. We brought it to the attention of the waitress, who kindly dismissed the issue. I called over the owner, who is usually very nice and accommodating. She also pretty much dismissed the issue and told us that when that happens, they usually give you a bigger piece of meat. That was definitely NOT the case. We figured she would "comp" us the main dish or a glass of wine or even a desert. But nothing. That is sure not customer service. I will never go back and I will go out of my way to tell others about our experience. I am so disappointed in both the chef and the owners. Being gracious would have gone a long way to address the problem. As a result, they have lost 4 potential return customers. The rest fo the meal was fine, but there was NO excuse for this poorly handled situation
