Midtown Oyster Bar

All the food I ate that night was delicious, especially the oysters. The entrées are not very imaginative but very fresh and tasty.

A little pricey.

We love this place and we come here almost every time we are in Newport. Food, drinks and service are great!!!

We are not oyster people, so we did not eat any. but we had the fish and chips and it was mediocre. Fish was not cooked . The lobster and corn chowder was very good. Service was very good. I probably would not return as there are so many other restaurants in Newport to try

Waited over an hour for our food, came cold and never checked to see if we needed a second cocktail., etc. Understand that everyone is hurting during these times, but if you can’t handle service, then don’t accept the reservation.

My family had a wonderful meal here during xmas week. The ambiance was so warm and cozy. The food was exceptional. For a family that eats out often, if was one of the better meals we have had in a while. The seafood was fresh and prepared to perfection. Our server was ver friendly. The spicy watermelon margarita was delicious.We would definitely return to enjoy this restaurant.

Typical cold wet winter evening in Newport - popped in for an early dinner and ordered French Onion soup and Short Ribs, along with warm Sangria (special winter drink). Everything was delicious and perfect comfort food which cheered up a dreary night. Great service too. Very quiet and felt very safe during Covid. Thank you Midtown!

We usually hit MOB for drinks, apps, or lunch and this time we had a full dinner which was, unsurprisingly, amazing.
The menu is well balanced, even during the pandemic, with options for all palates. I had the Halibut (dope), and another member of my party had the Striped Bass (which was also dope). Charred octopus appetizer was up there with the best octopussies I've ever tasted.

Drinks were great accompanied by a wide variety of local oysters. You can't go wrong with MOB IMO.

Food was very tasty but $$$. Good size portions.

This is one of my favorite places to go in Newport. We always come for the oysters and entrees but the apps are excellent as well. Every server we've had has been awesome. I can't wait to go back.

Awesome. This is by far our favorite place in Newport. Every time we go to Newport we make it a point to go here. This food and drinks are amazing!! Always get fish tacos, cauliflower tacos, lobster/shrimp tacos, sooo good. Literally can’t wait to go back!

Came here for late lunch with my sister from Pittsburgh. She was blown away by the freshness of the raw bar selections and totally loved the scallop po'boy! We loved the Bloody Mary's and my husband couldn't have been happier with the octopus tacos! We will definitely be back!

Nice sunny afternoon..a bit cool. We sat upstairs outside and we were the only 2 people braving the elements.

Another great experience at Midtown Oyster Bar! Every fall we have lunch during Restaurant Week and we were not disappointed this year! We enjoyed the Salmon Poke, Swordfish BLT, the Spicy Shrimp Po'Boy, and Picklebacks with Oyster Shooters. Delish!

Food was so so

Best oysters on the half-shell I've had in a long time. They were fresh, sharp, briny and beautifully presented. Lobster roll was also excellent. Service was attentive and efficient. So nice to have a treat like Midtown Oyster Bar during these ugly pandemic times. Seriously, it's on my go-to list for future visits.
