The food was delicious as always. I love sitting on the outside patio this time of year. It’s very peaceful
We ate on the patio right next to the music which was perfect in every way! We were able to enjoy it and have a conversation too. The food, the pasta lobster special, was especially excellent, as was my starter the gazpacho. My husband had the same entree as me but started with an arugula salad with peaches wrapped in prosciutto and grilled, it was wonderful. Reliably one of the best venues in Santa Fe and reasonably priced for the quality of the food, service and ambience. We’ll be back!
We found the restuarant recommended on a tourist brochure as a top restaurant.. The location is a little dicely looking and hidden a bit away. The interior is nice. We ordered the chicken taquitos.and the spring tempura vegetables as appetisers. They were ok but had none to little seasoning in the taquito itself or the tempura (a bit of an exageration) batter but the sauces provided an.assist. however the main courses were really not decipherable or edible.. On the other hand the entrees were not. I had the steak and blue corn enchilada with chile sauce. The steak was really tough.(medium) and the enchilada was pretty much just a tortilla with sauce on it...so flat you had to dig.in the sauce to find the tortilla. I found about 2" of it. I think the rest had disintegrated. I know the style of mexican food is different there than LA. But the sauce was just hot chiles...nit nuances or depth of flavor. Cutting the meat.with a steak.knife.was impossible.. My husband got the chicken which was a dry overcooked bone in.chicken quarter with a blob of bland cheese on top..It was.also tough...we left with our plates almost.as full as when we received them. They asked if we.wanted to take it home but didn't inquire further as.to the situation when we said no..
Our server was wonderful! She knew her wine! We never felt rushed. Food was excellent.
Birthday...they even decorated the table
Drove up from Rio Rancho for a day trip. Can't say anything was really bad, but nothing was really good either. Service was confusing actually. Never really knew who or server was. Don't expect to be back.
Midtown has (and will remain) our favourite restaurant in Santa Fe. Consistently the food is delicious and beautifully presented. As the summer nights become warmer, their gravel patio, with tables set among a garden of fountains, is magical. The staff understands the wine list so that pairings are always excellent and they now offer a full bar. A little secret is that if you see side dishes combined for an entree other than the one you are ordering, just ask that they will make the switch for you. My husband and I will hit Midtown Bistro for a spur-of-the-moment-sit-at-the-bar evening, as well as a night when we are entertaining clients and friends. Both occasions are well worth the 15 minute drive from downtown Santa Fe.
A friend and I had a lovely experience eating outside in the garden. The ambience with the numerous fountains is so enchanting. We loved our meals, the service was great and we look forward to going back again soon.
Pasta special was delicious. All the dishes were beautifully presented. Caesar salad was not up to par, though.
Good food and attentive service in an elegant ambience.
It was great--fabulous wild mushroom/potato soup and Salad Nicoise with a light shallot vinaigrette were delicious! We loved every minute of our lunch there.
Midtown Bistro is our ladies go-to place for a quiet, catch-up luncheon. We know that the service is going to be great, the food is going to be delicious and the ambience is perfect whether we sit inside or outside. Several of us couples enjoy it for dinner too for all the same reasons!
Excellent for both brunch and dinner!! Patio with fountains is wonderful when weather is good.
It was Mother's Day and much busier than usual. The noise level was higher for that reason. It's usually nice and quiet.
The food was decent enough but service was extremely poor.
Excellent all around! One of the best restaurants in Santa Fe.
Edmund Cathanach and his buddy chef make this a must visit restaurant. When the warm weather persists, try the garden outside for Sunday brunch. You will not regret it!
Don Wilson and Mary Ann Lundy
We liked the warmth of the waiter that served us. The quality of the service makes a huge difference to the enjoyment of the experience. His was one of calm efficiency with warmth. The food was great as well.
It was a great experience and our water was fabulous! Only my second time there and both times was great! Would definitely recommend to everyone!
This is an elegant environment with fresh, refined dishes.
Excellent service and food every time we come whether for brunch or dinner!!
Service was slow to begin.
After waiter acknowledged me I waited another 5 mins for water.
Food was mediocre...
Absolutely wonderful experience. The service was impeccable; attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious
Can’t say enough good things about this wonderful place.
Nice restaurant, best food we have had in Santa Fe for a while. Tried all the big names, no wow factor. Quite because only five or six tables taken. Will go back. Wine prices a little high.
The food was exceptional, as always. Surpassed only by the service. Staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive. This is one of my favorite restaurants, and many friends feel the same.
Great meal once again--worked well with a 3 year old. Even though they do not have a children's menu a pasta plate or appetizer works well for a child. The chocolate mousse was devoured by the three year old!
The service was excellent and the food was very, very good. The wine by the glass was a little pricey so they should have a few $6 per options. The Calamari and its dipping sauce was outstanding.
Servers needed to be reminded to bring an requested item, 4 times before it arrived. Also servers needed requests for more coffee 3 times. Other than servers needing more training, this is a standby good place for Sinday brunch.
Love the Bistro. Food and Ambiance and the whole experience is always delightful.
We enjoyed a lovely Easter lunch with friends. It’s great to be able to order holiday meals from the menu, rather than being stuck with an expensive prix fixe meal.
Nearly everything was perfect, including the simple, beautiful roses on the tables. I would have preferred for our server to wait until we had taken a bite or two of our meals before asking if everything was ok. Other than that quibble, we were very happy.
Excellent meal and service. Nice menu. Only downsides are: tables are a bit tight (NYC style) and wine markups are high.
Birthday. They set the table to honor my friend and s candle in her dessert. It was wonderful.
Parking is impossible. That is the only drawback that keeps me from frequenting the restaurant.
We took friends from South Africa to dinner.Wonderful service and excellent menu.......we were all 50 years plus....like Inovative cuisine bur prefer the excellent standards that they provide.......I think you get it no SWEETBEADS with pomegranate sauce here ......love restaurants that try all this around the world...but one this restaurant and now they have full bar. Have been many times and it is a hidden retreat for those in the foodie know .....Obviously I will also entertain overseas and domestic guests here.
I go here a lot, for lunch and dinner, and have been since it opened. It's my favorite, go-to place in Santa Fe, and I have recommended it to many friends here and in Albuquerque.
Excellent food great service nice servers
The decor inside is very Attractive and nice. The food is outstanding and the service when we were there was excellent. They now have a bar with a full serving of cocktails and other beverages. The prices are reasonable, especially compared to some of the other nice restaurants in Santa Fe. We will be going back soon.
All around wonderful experience. Will definitely go back!
One of my favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. I love sitting on the patio in the summer. Looking forward to summer 2019.
Always a great dining experience. Our out of town family also enjoyed it and they are foodies.
