Pair your authentic Italian dinner with a great selection of Italian wine or our full line of liquor menu.
Family run restaurant. Nice atmosphere, good Italian food.
If you want some excellent food, this is the place to go. Been here multiple times and will continue to go back, learned my lesson however, avoid the bar drinks. Last visit had a basil and jalapeno martini, tasted like water with a little basil mixed. A word to the wise, stick to the beer and wine, and you'll have a fantastic evening.
Michaelangelo is a wonderful, neighborhood, family owned and operated restaurant. You are warmly greeted by a member of the family, and then treated as if you are one of them. Food is great, reliable and with variety.
The food was not bad but not amazing, it was disappointing to drive almost an hour from long beach and not be wowed. You cannot call Romain hearts a "bed of greens". My fish was ok but some of the other elements were overcooked, dry and my dates food was a salty. Perhaps we should have gone for pasta dishes. Our service was great and our server was lovely. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely and again great service. Overall it was a clean, quiet and welcoming venue but our expectations for the food were much higher than what we actually got served. I do not think a reservation was needed since it was pretty quiet and slow when we arrived.
Great food and very friendly and attentive staff. Can't wait to go back again. Caio!
A wonderful find. Had a very long lunch here with an old friend I hadn't seen in ages - they didn't mind that we sat for almost 4 hours. I have very severe food limitations, and they were able to give me delicious food within those constraints, without my having to send anything back (which I often have to do in other restaurants - chefs just can't stop themselves from adding pepper, garlic, etc.). But the really impressive achievement was how much my friend, a former chef, loved her food and how wonderfully she connected with the owner who waited on us. She absolutely raved about every dish she had. She had a delicious sole dish; she didn't originally order pasta, but when she learned they make their own gnocchi and ravioli, she wanted to try just a few, and he gave her 4 ravioli, which she said were incredibly light and tender. She loved the tiramisu, even though or maybe especially because they make "simple" version unlike the more complex one she is used to making herself. I have rarely heard my friend rave about a meal like she did at Michelangelo's. And finally, the ambience and design is old fashioned, quiet, unlike the latest very noisy trendy places, and we just loved that too.
Always a great food and great service. I look forward to our visits to Michaelangelo. We are always made to feel welcome. It’s a nice neighborhood restaurant at moderate price, but really savory food. Bruschetta is fantastic! Gnocchi is like little cheese pillows....so soft! Fresh fish is always prepared to perfection. We’ll go back again and again....
A lovely dinner and ambience was wonderful!
Good food, heavy on the sauces, wine too expensive for what it is. Nice service. Will be back for for the spaghetti with meatballs, that they got right.
Food great. Service very good. A little too hot inside.
Beautiful restaurant, lovely food. Amazing staff. We came for a family meal before returning to the UK and were not disappointed at all. I strongly recommend this place.
Loved this place! The food is to die for and they make you feel like family.
I haven’t been to Michelangelo’s for a while and something has gone terribly wrong. The chicken Marsala was tough and the wait staff not the same competent staff as before. Maybe it was just an off night, but I was really disappointed.
Michelangelo is the best! Our favorite Italian restaurant! Everything is always perfect!
Good food, good service.
From the outside, it's a very cute restaurant. Many people were dining outside as it was a lovely night. We had a party of 6 and sat inside. Everyone who worked their was attentive and kind. Service was stellar! We were able to order off the happy hour and got a round of drinks, meatball appetizers and garlic cheese bread. My husband ordered the BOLOGNESE pizza and OMG... I wish that was my dish! It was savory and the pepperoncini were a nice touch. I ordered the Pappardelle Alla Domenica
With gluten free spaghetti noodles. It was yummy, but I really should of ordered the spaghetti and meatballs because it looked delicious and I love red sauce. I loved the atmosphere and how our party of 6 could all talk and hear each other. The staff even came out with a dessert, a fun bday hat and sang happy birthday to my father in law. Really enjoyed dining here.
Michelangelo Ristorante is always the place we choose for celebrating special events. The food is delicious, the service excellent, and it's wonderful to be able to sit either in or outside.
Our server was very gracious and accommodating. One server didn't want to split our bill but our server said he would be glad to do it. We would return for the food as well as his service.
Never disappoints ... quality of food and service is excellent.
Very good Italian food. We had the beef tenderloin and chicken Marsala and they were both very good to excellent. Ordered a few glasses of wine too and the wine was good and good value. Easy parking. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
We came here for the first because they had reservations available for Mother's Day, but having discovered it, we enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere so much that we will *definitely* be coming back many times.
The service was horrible! The waitress broke a glass and glass landed on my plate. I did not get a new plate nor a refund. We had 4 different people waiting our table. AND we waited 40 minutes for our check.
My husband and I were looking forward to a relaxing and delicious dinner and Michaelangelos delivered on both accounts. We thoroughly enjoyed our first dinner there and would return post haste .
We LOVE Michaelangelo's. The owner and staff are always SO welcoming. It's a great family restaurant with traditional Italian fare. The Ravioli Fritta is our favourite starter and you can't go wrong with their signature dish Pappardelle with Italian sausage. Plenty of wonderful vegetarian dishes and fish. When we're in town it's our 'go to'.....
What a great find! Fantastic food and fun ambience. Service was spectacular. We will be back!
Michelangelo's has become a once a week "go to" gem. Great food and Giulia provides awesome service.
Great service and food. Had a really nice birthday celebration. Our first timer friends loved it!!
A Silverlake gem that has served great meals and service for years. They have a solid menu of Italian dishes, and usually some interesting specials. Very unpretentious and friendly. Family-run with a lot of heart. Also, good place to watch Dodger games. Finally, they make a killer Negroni.
Michelangelo is my favorite italian restaurant in all of Los Angeles.
Sometimes you want to feel and taste like you are back in Italy.....that is why we stop by and
partake in an authentic restaurant like Michelangelo.
They don't scrimp on fake food.....they make it according to Mama Domenica always has.
Fresh warm baked bread from the oven....I am already salivating for some
Always a great time at Michelangelo with good food and caring service.
Food was mediocre
Just such a great neighborhood place! Thoughtful staff. Great food.
Best place to get a taste of Italy in the Southland.
Domenica and Son Antonio speak fluent Italian and welcome you as if you were coming to their home.
Food is prepared with authentic Italian sauces and spices.
Cant wait to return next week!
Great food and service but it's so loud in there and the tables are too close together.
Authentic Italian food, homey feel. The owner, Antonio said hello to our table multiple times. The pasta was very good and we had just returned from Italy craving that great homemade Italian pasta. They did not disappoint.
I would call this a neighborhood gem. Portions are generous and the quality is outstanding. Service was perfect. If you want Italian, a definite go to restaurant. Their pappardele sausage dish featured in the LA times was excellent and would be my first choice. Pizza excellent. Pasta with meatballs good.
One of my favorite neighborhood places. Pasta is always amazing, pizza is great and their special are fantastic. Super kid friendly and the owner, Antonio makes you feel so special.
Quality is ok the cost is too high. Overall our experience was fair but I gave to ask why go out to eat for a fair meal?
