Dining at Michael's is an experience of a lifetime. One of our guests told us that his dinner at Michael's was better than the meal he had eaten the week before at the White House!
This was one of the best dining experiences my wife and I have had in almost 39 years of marriage. Everything was perfect--ambiance, service, food, and selections. Having table side flambé and other preparation made the evening even more wonderful. All the staff was attentive and they set a very high benchmark.
I would highly recommend Michael's for a special occasion.
Exceptional from beginning to end!!
Best dining in Vegas!
The experience was great but the food was very under seasoned and poor. We ordered salmon and a filet. We shared broccoli and had a crab cake appetizer. The crab cake was good. The main entrees all needed added seasonings and they were still just ok. We ordered bananas fosters and it was amazing. Our totally bill for 2 people was $450 and it was certainly not worth that. We paid for the experience but won’t be back
Have dined there since ‘86 and it’s still outstanding as ever! Jose has kept same fabulous employees, food!
Very few restaurants in the world can maintain food and service that long!!!
We had a lovely experience. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent food and superb service. We’ll be back!
The Dover Sole is always amazing here. I come once a year just to get it. Expensive but you will feel like you are royalty.
From entering the door to enjoying a night cap at the bar the whole experience was incredible and top notch. This was not my first experience and will not be the last. The attention to detail never disappoints.
If you are looking for a very formal old-school dining experience, then Michael's is for you. It certainly is not in the most romantic location, we had to shove our way through a crowded and smoky casino and were a little concerned... But we were very surprised when we entered a small door with a sign that said "Michael's". It was like a whole new world in there. A quiet, formal, fancy dining room with a Maitre'D in a tux and a team of male servers in old school outfits. We were seated almost immediately even though we were a little early for our reservation. We quickly discovered that everything is a production. We started with martinis which were made perfectly. We were immediately given a large relish tray, parmesan crackers and lavash bread. We each ordered a different salad and both were prepared tableside. My salad was absolutely delicious. Between courses we were given lemon-lime sorbet with Dom Perignon poured on top.... wow! My Dover Sole was deboned tableside and it was very tasty. Husband ordered lamb chops and they were cooked to a perfect medium. The food was quite good. Throughout the meal, the team of waiters did everything for you, from refilling your glass to adjusting your napkin to expertly removing the crumbs from the table. For dessert you're given a complimentary bowl of fruit and an assortment of chocolate covered fruits. We could barely touch most of it, and were shocked when they wrapped up the ENTIRE THING... including the fruit bowl.
Long story short, this was an experience to remember. The food was very good, not the best meal of my life, but certainly not a disappointment. It was extremely expensive - you are paying for the experience, but I thought it was worth it. I certainly won't forget it.
Every aspect was outstanding, but the service and attention to detail are second to none.
Awesome food & service!!!
This restaurant is amazing! It is VERY upscale, but the staff is friendly and they weren’t afraid to joke around with us, unlike many of the stuffy snobby restaurants around town. The food was amazing, and there was a sinful amount of it. Will definitely return!
Everything was great— service, food, and environment
Our visit was fantastic as always! I have been many times. Not once have I been disappointed.
Everything about this place is exquisite from the moment you walk thru the door.
One of the best dining experiences you can experience. Staff, food, everything is spot on! Make the decision, go here, the only thing you will regret is not finding this restaurant sooner...
Absolutely the best service ever! Have not been in over 10 years but just as wonderful as I remember. The food was fabulous but the impeccable service is beyond compare. Worth the taxi ride there.
The most elegant fine dining experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. The food was exquisite the servers excellent myself and my clients both enjoyed ourselves and will be back.
Service was great!
I think they need to gone up all little more time to enjoy your excellent cocktails that they make and your dinner order
But that is minor everything they seve is excellent Snd the service is superb
A very special place! We will be back food is outrageous! So are the prices?! But I will say iris very special
We had heard about this restaurant from open table as well as friends. We were pleasantly surprised and had a wonderful time. It is a gem easily missed inside the S. Pt. Hotel. Would go back.
Delightful dining experience. Great food, awesome service and beautiful atmosphere! Vin was awesome and so was his entourage.
Service is absolutely impeccable and the food is phenomenal!
This place is extremely old school so know what you are getting into before you go here to make sure it is the experience you want. The atmosphere is very old Vegas which can be fun, but other elements of this restaurant make it one I would not return to. I was here with 3 business colleagues for dinner recently - 3 women, 1 man. All of the women were given menus with no pricing, only the man’s menu had pricing. Not only is this tone deaf to modern norms, it could have been extremely awkward if I had been with customers where I am often the senior one at the table (and therefore picking up the check). In addition, one person at our table wanted an appetizer for her main entree. They charged us an additional plate fee of $35 (the appetizer was already $32). We were ordering multiple courses, bottles of wine, cocktails, etc so this felt unnecessary not to mention it was not disclosed anywhere (even on the one menu w prices). Not to mention the fact that the food was extremely pricy for what it was - $69 for the chicken breast (a la cart, sides were extra), salad courses were $16-32, steaks $90+. On top of that, the food was mediocre at best and one of my colleagues found a hair in her salad that was merely shrugged off by the waiter and the plate whisked away. Given all the other great places to eat in Vegas, I would recommend you spend your considerable dollars elsewhere.
Fist visit in 15+ years. Food and service exceptional. Restaurant is smaller than original, doesn't have the same energy. Prices are high but you're there for an experience. Not likely a place for millennials.
Went for anniversary. Everything was just exceptional. The service staff was genuine and the atmosphere was amazing. We loved it very much.
Russell and team did another fabulous job of making us feel special, with a great presentation.
Literally the perfect restaurant. Old school Vegas. Old school, period. Romantic ambiance, impeccable service and delicious food. Expensive, but worth it.
The entire dinner experience is over the top FANTASTIC!
Thank you to the host, servers, waiters and chefs for making our Christmas Eve a memorable experience each and every year. Simply amazing meal each and every time.
Amazing! I had the double lamb chop. Exceptional! Wait staff was professional and courteous. Food was perfectly prepared and far beyond expecting. Lived up to the hype!
Great service, fabulous food, old time luxury setting.
Always amazing at Michael’s!
Great food and an excellent atmosphere. Definitely the place to go for a special occasion. All great things come at a price however, so be prepared for about $250 / person -- if you have wine.
Just an absolutely fantastic experience. Wonderful food and atmosphere. Will definitely be back
Amazing experience as always!
Vin was wonderful as well as all of the wait staff. Amazing food, steK and Coquille St Jaques!! Mmmm! Thank you!
Splurged and had dinner at Michaels! The food and ambiance was pretty darn amazing. There was enough red velvet, red wall paper, red leather and red leather🌹 to sooth the soul of the most demanding classic steakhouse aficionados. The petite filet mignon was perfectly prepared and as tender and flavorful as I've ever eaten. My martini was clearly made by someone who knew what they were doing and rivaled any I've ever enjoyed, (save the 🍸 I had at New York's Grand Central Station!) The complimentary appetizer anti pasti platter and post dinner fruit & chocolate covered fruit were superb!
THE DOWNSIDE: I do regret to say that the service was not up to par! We were seated and brought our antipasti and our martinis very quickly and then the service totally disappeared. We must've gone about 15 minutes without any other attention. It was amazing. Finally I got the attention of a passing server and requested assistance. Another 10 minutes went by! 😖 And they were not crowded. Finally I was about to get up and tell the maître d' that we were going to leave!!! then they came over and they apologized profusely and so on and so forth. I actually asked him if it was because we were two women together that they had forgotten about us. Even after that, the service for the rest of the evening remains subpar period definitely not five star. So that did mar the entire experience. Based on the service neither I know my friend would ever go back to Michael’s.
Michael's is old school elegance. From the moment you enter until you leave, you are treated like royalty. Food is fabulous!
Traditional steak house with good options. The level of service is excellent!
