We visited on a Saturday night...they were very busy. The fish was overdone and the pots de creme dessert was stiff and not at all creamy. We had the same meal on a Tuesday and it was excellent! This particular night the food was disappointing 😕
Michael’s on East provided me and my boyfriend with an extremely lovely first dinner-date. We had the absolute best of experiences, ate every bite of our meal, and even had our extremely helpful and attentive waiter take a photograph of us. I will most certainly return for another occasion, and share my experience with my friends. Michael’s on East deserves much praise.
We ere seated promptly upon our arrival. Our waiter, Eric, was excellent both in his service and in his menu recommendations. The meal was superb.
Very nice evening, food was delicious. Would bring guests here
we really enjoy Michael's on East , and it's our favorite for special dates like anniversary and birthdays. We recommend it to visitors and locals alike. Always a good meal, with lots of interesting choices, and we enjoy the Epicurean Adventures- sometimes a really interesting taste!
We had a delicious dinner brought by friendly servers. Service was impeccable. The piece of birthday cake was delicious.
My husband and I had a very nice evening at this high reputation restaurant. Michaels on East has been around for some time and has good food and professional staff. We sat at the bar before moving to our table. My one "gripe" would be that the owner consider turning off the television unless something major is happening. The bar has a nice atmosphere with lovely piano music which makes the TV baseball game seem out of place and unnecessary. I know.. its what all the restaurants do now days but consider upping your "game".
Last year cousin from Maryland was visiting and we came to Michaels - she insisted we come again because she enjoyed it so much.
Food as always was superb - particularly liked the Tempura Shrimp - waiting staff excellent. Did have to wait about 20 mins to be seated and bar area was full - there was a group celebrating a birthday.
Would recommend to anyone and will certainly come again. Joe on piano is always good.
Wonderful evening from beginning to end. Attentive but not intrusive service, wide array of menu choice for food and spirits.
Home run all around. Special evening out with excellent service and meal followed by great after dinner drinks and intimate time around the piano.
We had a terrific dinner and were happy that Michaels did not disappoint - up to the high standards we have come to expect.
Our outstanding attentive server Kathy made our night memorable and our 90 yr old mother’s celebration one to remember. She guided us in selecting the red snapper and crabmeat drenched in cream and sun dried tomatoes - an outstanding choice. The scallop entree with gnocchi also delicious. A wonderful evening topped by a huge slice of chocolate cake to add to the celebration.
Server, Joe, was excellent except that it seemed to be a little slow probably because there was a whiskey obsession event going on at the same time and there were not enough servers. Food was excellent, both the Epicurean and the Al a Carte menu.
Hadn't been in a few years and was glad it was as good as I remembered. Service impeccable, a nice ambiance, wine list extensive but they don't kill you on the price-except for a couple of popular labels that are already over priced. Food has a touch of uniqueness along w some solid standbys. All was really delicious. Piano bar is fun without being intrusive. I don't give many 5 5's. Really enjoyed our time.
Incredible service and delicious good. The perfect place to celebrate our special occasion.
We had a wonderful experience celebrating. my wife’s birthday
Really great food and service. We will go back!!!
Everything overall was great, we had a good experience.
Fabulous ambience the only thing I can recommend is you need a dress attire. I don’t think it serves the restaurant well to have people with white T-shirt, sweatpants and flip-flops that are underdressed for the style restaurant this is.
Otherwise love the service, love the food you’re one of the few restaurants that you can dress up and attend.
Always a delight, the consistency of the food offered is the magic of returning.
Service was great. Sommelier was one of the best I have ever encountered.
After a disappointing star the meal was overall very good. I had the 3-course menu and the rock shrimp appetizer and mahi mahi entree were excellent. My wife had the scallops and we were pleased with the size and taste. The waiter was excellent as well. The only hiccup came when the hostess tried to seat us at a table for two right at the entry to the restaurant, despite many open tables further in. After we voiced our complaint we were eventually seated at an excellent table and the manager made sure our meal was satisfactory all-around.
We have found Michael’s on East a wonderful place to have friends for lunch. Never have to worry about quality or service
Very amazing restaurant. A little pricey but definitely worth going to Michael's on east for special occasions. The filet melted like butter when you ate it. And the truffle macaroni and cheese is a very tasty delicacy.
Sometime you hit a single, sometimes a double. Not Michael's - they HIT A HOME RUN!!! Absolutely superb cuisine and beautifully presented. The ambiance of the entire restaurant is pleasant to the eye and the low noise level allows you to converse with your dining partners without having to shout across the table. The old adage is "you get what you pay for." Michael's in not inexpensive but, in my estimation, worth every penny!!! We will most definitely be going back!!! Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. If you do both their pompano and sea bass were outstanding as was their beef carpaccio appetizer.
Easter brunch looked beautiful but the food was not typical Michaels. The beef was super tough, the desserts were made days before, the manager had her bra strap exposed, the diner had their dog in their lap inside the dining area and never washed their hands before going to the buffet, the bathroom was overflowing with dirty paper towels, and coffee nor tea was included in the $60. If you want to enjoy Michael’s, it’s a great place but never on a buffet holiday.
I took my Mom here for Easter expecting it would be wonderful as it usually is, but we were a bit disappointed with this visit. The food on the buffet was not the best quality, meaning, it was not fresh at all. The English muffins in the Eggs Benedict were too hard even to cut, and the blintzes were hard on the bottom from sitting out too long. Same with some of the desserts. Some were dry, some were just bland. The best desserts were the fruit tarts and the creme brulee. The biscotti was delicious, but not baked enough, almost doughy. It was even tough getting our waiter to come back to our table to even offer us coffee with our dessert. Sorry Michael, you failed this round.
Wonderful food, service, ambiance...always special to eat here.
Kelly was a very excellent waitress, added class to a very nice restaurant
40 wedding anniversary
Great food and the service was fine. Entrees we're very slow arriving. Long wait.
Great experience. Best veal chop I have ever had. Waiter recommended the perfect Pinot noir. Two Gluten free diners at our table were well taken care of. The service was excellent. Can’t wait to return.
Excellent dinner. Our server, Kimberley, accommodated our special requests, and also managed to deliver a dessert we had enjoyed in the past that wasn't on the menu this week. Thank you!
Lovely and delicious
Michael's is a premier restaurant offering excellent food & superb service.Would highly reccomend to everyone.
Waiter was well mannered, attentive and understanding that we wanted limited interruption as we were having a business meeting.
The food was exceptional too! Hostess greeted us and found the perfect table for us.
Quality food but expensive. 12-14 for a side salad, 12-14 bucks for sides. 50-60 for most steaks is plain high.
Your service is always excellent. Love Maggie up front. It is so rare in restaurants today to be able to converse with your group of guests and hear each other. Nice elegant atmosphere, great varied menu for all tastes.
Great as always!
We felt neglected - the Manager of the restaurant appeared to go from table to table to check on everyone except out table. Over server seemed a bit overwhelmed in that he was very busy but did have a back up staff supporting him. He never came by once our entrees were served to see how our meals turned out. We had to flag him down to ask for a side that was served. I believed we were not charged but it came out at the end of the meal. A little too late. I felt bad in that I highly recommended Michael’s to our group. My husband and I had been there for dinner and felt it was truly a special experience that evening. That is why I recommended it to my friend who paid for the entire dinner for five. The room was extremely cold. One our entrees were served no one approached our table until it was time for our check. Very disappointing.
