Fabulous wine pairings.
A special occasion that was made memorable by Michael’s On East.
Excellent food, lovely ambiance, and wonderful service! Our server, Kathy, was attentive and professional.
We had not been to Michaels in years. We having been missing out!
Great table, terrific service, food was outstanding and wine was great too.
The food was amazing! From appetizers to entree everything was perfect. Server Kathy was fun, knowledgeable and attentive. Great experience!
Michael’s on East is a special place. It’s ambiance beats no other. The food is fabulous and service is impeccable. The only complaint I would have is we were at the piano before dinner having a drink and Joe Michals who plays was a little rude. After dinner we returned for after dinner drink and he was very rude. The only downside of the evening.
always a winner there- we try the Epicurean Adventure almost every time;
they are usually a good value and an EXCELLENT choice!
and the wines and DESSERTS are YUMMY!
It was a perfect setting for Valentine's dinner. The atmosphere is lovely, and a piano player brings an extra charm to the ambience. The food was exceptionally good( fig salad, crab cakes, and swordfish); the drinks robust, and the dessert capped off a delightful evening. The service was warm and welcoming, and we both dined with leisure even on a holiday. Of course my date made it an even better occasion. I highly recommend Michael's on East for dining excellence.
As always, a Wonderful meal & great wine selection. You can’t go wrong at Michaels on East
Never disappointing! Great food, service and wine! Great place for lunch too.
Michael's is our go=to restaurant for a special occasion or any "want to be pampered" event.
From the warm greeting from Maggie at the door, to the excellent, friendly, but professional service by Kelly, it was a splendid experience. The food is always as good as can be desired.
All our remarks are superlatives .
Having read the reviews before we booked we found the restaurant disappointing. Our reservation was for 8pm. There was a lot of loud piano playing and rowdy shouting/singing in the bar which was separated from the dining area by a flimsy curtain. Our server seemed tired and uninterested. She took a long time to bring our drinks and had to requested twice before she gave us refills.
The food was disappointing. Our starters were excellent. I had the beef carpaccio which was among the best I had ever eaten my wife said that her crab was excellent. We had read that the portions were very big so we did not order any extra sides. Mistake. I had the pork chop which was very good but I could not eat the vegetable and therefore just had the chop and nothing else. My wife could not eat her veg either.
We will not be back.
The restaurant is expensive and worth every penny.
We thought that the meal was delicious although the service was a bit slow at the outset. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
Always great food and service at Michael’s. Nice menu, something for everyone.
It was our anniversary and we chose to eat both apps and dinner in the bar. Didn’t count on the noise level in the bar. But that was our fault. Service unbelievably slow tho. Waiter was nice; wished us a happy anniversary when he brought the bill. We will stay in the main dining room like we usually do for dinner from now on. We do love Michaels
We had a delightful evening at Michaels. The tables were spaced so that you were not listening to other's conversations. We enjoyed the ambience of the quieter dining room. Our server was attentive, knowledgable and effecient. The appetizers and entrees were attractive as well as delicious. Michaels has a wonderful wine list. The only disappointments were the desserts (Gateau and sorbet with cookies). They were very difficult to eat . The cookie and cake were hard and lacked that flavor you come to expect, in a restaurant, such as Michaels. Desserts should compliment and end your fine dining experience on a "high note".
I usually do not leave reviews but I was amazed at how terrible the food was at this restaurant and with such a high price tag. I ordered a 14oz. fillet medium. The outside of the steak was like charcoal and the inside was terribly raw and cold. The truffle mac and cheese had no flavor whatsoever. The staff were very unprofessional and inexperienced. The check was for $150 and we could of had a better meal at longhorn steakhouse. To top it all off as we were leaving they had a CBI truck parked outside, "low quality ingredients equals low quality food which does not equal high quality price tag." Just doing this others will not waste their time and money. If you want a high quality meal at these prices go to Ruthe's Chris.
Michael’s is possibly our most favorite Sarasota restaurant and never disappoints! Food and service are A+ even on a busy Saturday night. So worth the price for a truly lovely dining experience!
I was disappointed in Michael's because I thought it was overpriced for the quality of the food. And I was most disappointed in the desserts, because the three that I sampled were either stale or too sweet to eat, or just not tasty.
We eat out frequently and have eaten at some of the finest restaurants in the world. We now add Michael's on East to that list of great, fine restaurants. Everything about Michael's is first class, Save for a special evening with the one you love. Worth every dollar. A real treat. We will go back every time we visit Sarasota.
From the beginning in the bar to the end of our meal everything was awesome! Our table had different dishes and everyone’s food was outstanding. The people at the bar were super nice and Kimberly was our server and she is fantastic we asked for her to be our server :)
We will be back again. We tell everyone how get Michael’s on East is
Always consistently good
Christina is our favorite & amazing waitress! She brought us a complimentary dessert 🍮 to celebrate our anniversary.
Exceptional as always at Michael’s on east. Wedding anniversary (July 18) reservation made that night on our way out.
A truly excellent restaurant. Food interesting, well prepared and served. Staff attentive and welcoming. Pianist wonderful as always.
Extremely over salted food and desserts too sweet to eat.
Good service but inedible food.
For the first time I was disappointed in the Wendy’s salad. I have recommended it to friends but hope this was a one time it fell short of my expectations.
We had the special tasting menu which was French this month. Very good as usual. Always a pleasant experience.
Never a bad meal or bad service at Michael’s on East!
Elegant & casual. Food delicious
