As always everything was well done. This place should be on everyone's list of places to eat.
Think liquor available needs to be improved. There’s no Hendrick gin and they ran out of Tito.
Everything was so nice. We were able to talk at the table. The service was awesome. The food was cooked perfectly and the plating was appealing
This is the most marvelous small restaurant. The chef/owner is a genius with food - his specials are unique and outstanding. I had blackened halibut over a salad of mixed greens, which included candied pecans, fruit, feta cheese and topping. The halibut was just delicious - tender and sweet. Our waiter was very attentive, and our table had fresh flowers. This is a wonderful restaurant in the Carrollwood area.
Fantastic we will go back
always consistently good quality and freshness. they had a special appetizer of rock shrimp thermador which was very good. their calamari is much different from others in the area. their specialty fish dishes, this time halibut with orange juice, rosemary rick and red pepper sauce was a great combination!
Always a great place to eat. Always consistent in service, atmosphere and food. A real gem n the Carrollwood area.
Never a disappointment, always a treat. Kudos to the chief/owner for great food and service.
It was ok. Nothing special. My first time there for a date night. French onion soup was good, Caesar salad dressing was too fishy for me. Too many anchovies in there. Pasta was bland and chicken was dry. The dessert we had the chocolate torte was decent. Service was nothing special but it wasn’t awful. It was just an average experience. I wasn’t wowed for the price. I won’t be returning, but don’t let it deter you from at least trying it.
We loved it.
The young lady that was our server didn’t know anything about the food on the menu. We asked questions about the special of the day which was a grouper sandwich and she couldn’t answer anything about it. Took too long to get food, she refilled our tea but no ice. She had the incorrect amount on our bill for the grouper. My friend that I bragged to about Micheals will not be back, I probably will give them another chance and hopefully get better service.
The grouper sandwich was $20 and only covered half of the bun so the other half was just a bunch of bread. Very overpriced and not worth the money. I had the Chicken Julie and it was great, no problems. The fruit salad was very good and fresh.
Michael’s is the best kept secret in Tampa! We dine out frequently but it’s very infrequently that you find a restaurant where EVERYTHING is spectacular! The Chicken Avocado Salad was fantastic as were all the salads but the Wasabi crusted tuna is the best I’ve had in my life. If you’ve had better tuna anywhere please let me know!
This was my first visit. It was a convenient location and I couldn't have improved upon a thing.
Greeted by the hostess with a smile and a glass of champagne. An adorable table tent with my name on it was waiting for us.
The crab cakes and egg rolls were delicious!! I highly recommend and will be back.
We uncovered a gem! Michaels is a quaint, local, Italian restaurant with charm, great service and fantastic food! Will be back!
I love Michaels. The food is always excellent!!. Always a good experience!
Food was delicious! Server was attentive!
I had the 6ounce filetand it melted in mouth. Presentation was disappointing as the filet came pre cut.
Tuna is the best!!
Great food and service
Seafood special was outstanding.
My Wife and I dined at Michael's for the first time this last Friday, we had a wonderful experience!!!
Due to making a reservation just earlier that day, they had our table ready "on time" dressed with our name! We've been to a lot of Restaurants and have never seen that kind of personable touch.. well done!! Our Server was outstanding, and everything else from our Sangria (both red & white were fantastic), to our Appetizers (she crab soup & fried zucchini were fantastic), to our entrees were excellent!! We were even offered the use of an Umbrella to our car, due to the bad storm that was passing through! We will be returning for sure and will highly recommend Michael's to anyone! Thanks!
Food is consistently good and fresh. The rustic salmon was delicious. Neighborhood gem.
Noise level is not usually loud. There just happened to be a family dining there that day with 3-4 kids. Parents must have been tuning them out and oblivious they were affecting other diners.
Love this local establishment. Consistently great experience
Excellent as always
hands-down, my favorite restaurant. Always the best service with the kindest people and ultimately, just an amazing experience:)
Best restaurant in the area always consistent. Food and service outstanding.
Food service waiter very friendly. First time for our friends, they were really impressed with quality and service.
Lovely meal. 4 pm so before the dinner crowd and it was quiet and lovely. Delicious and thoughtfully prepared food. Will return
Best meal I’ve had in long time. Had the grouper special, wish it was on menu!
A find in Tampa.
The fried Brie is amazing
It was the best! Dinner was delicious and it made our birthday experience perfect!!
Food here is consistently good but not great. We were a party of 4, everyone enjoyed their food, our server was Sarah and she did disappear for long periods but service was adequate. It did seem very noisy (Saturday nite) It took the food quite a while to come out of the kitchen but to be fair we lingered over drinks and appetizers before we ordered. Duck breast was good but not much flavor to blackberry sauce. Michaels is a nice change of pace once in awhile but would not consider it top notch.
LOVE this place! Andrea, Michael, Joe, and Jeff are fantastic!
We had guests from out of town and had gone to Michael's for Father's Day brunch. That was fabulous!!! He enjoyed that meal so much that he suggested that we go back one more time before he left!!!! Once again a great meal and some of the friendliest wait staff anywhere!!!! They are just so accommodating!! One of my new favs in an area where there is no shortage of great restaurants!!!! Keep up the good work!!!
This experience (on a Thursday) was far superior to my previous visit a couple of weeks earlier (on a Monday). This occasion was more representative of my lunches. Granted, I didn’t order the French onion soup again. All was fine.
Good food served properly! A nice place to eat in comfort.
Michael's is our very favorite neighborhood restaurant for family occasions. Never disappoints.
Very cute place. Friendly staff and their crab cakes were good. These were the highlights of our Father’s Day brunch. We found Michael’s to be very over priced. ($28 for eggs Benedict) The food took a long time to come out and it was extremely bland. I was really hoping to have a better experience but sadly I will not be back.
