Everything is good- you can’t go wrong here!
Sean was great server and MGF did not dissapoint one more time . Love this place. Thank you
You can not sit outside unless you ask for it in advance as a Special Request, which was our case even though 80% of the tables were vacant. Our table inside was a little cramped for my taste but otherwise ok. The food was good but overrated in my honest opinion.
Beef shortrib was on the drier side, not as good as previous visit when I ordered it. Elote corn and duck con fit were excellent dishes!
Just as good as my first visit four years ago.
Absolutely fantastic experience here! On our second last-minute wknd visit to Miami from NYC this winter and a friend recommended Michael’s- so appreciative of the tip as this was our best meal here thus far. Each item was fresh and delicious, the wine was superb and our server and the sommelier were lovely and genuine. We can’t wait to come back again.
What a great restaurant. Amazing food; from ceviche, baked octopus, fresh sourdough bread with creamy goat butter and great sides: delicious corn and creamy mashed potatoes. I would definitely recommend it. The service was excellent as well, I didn’t like my cocktail and our server have it remade even though I told her she didn’t have to. This restaurant is going to be a part of our next Miami visit, for sure.
Love this place....
World class dining!! Delicious food and wonderful wine - great room and our server Cecilia was truly accommodating and knowledgeable.
Michael’s never disappoints. Brought some new costumera this time and they said the octopuss was one of the best they’d ever had, if not the best. I had short ribs and they were awesome. Sevice was efficient and helpful.
This is a must go place in Miami.
We experienced a glitch in the service and dishes came out late and in an odd sync. HOWEVER the manager and waitress made it right at the time of the bill. So, we will give them the benefit of the doubt and another chance. Thanks.
Awesome as always
The food we had (chicken, sardines, kale salad, pig's ears, bread, ice cream) was good, but the kitchen should be more careful with cayenne pepper. I happen to like very spicy food, but there were people in our party for whom it was a bit too much. We like the ambiance and the vibe of the place. It's contemporary and vibrant. What somewhat spoiled the experience was, I assume, kitchen service. The wait for food was just too much, and it wasn't the waiter. He was very good. More than 45 minutes between appetizer and main, 15-20 minutes for a simple ice cream? That's too long.
It was not clear on the menu that brunch was tapas style. The service and food come out extremely slow. We ordered another item halfway through the meal in order to fill us up. We ended up waiting so much longer for that dish after the rest of the food was finished. Brunch also ended at 3pm which wasn’t clear when we made a 2pm reservation.
Sunday Brunch - maybe overrated
Extraordinary food, welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff.
Entire experience was five star!!
Went for brunch with family with reservation. Sat down right away. Good service. Good menu choices.
Excellent Menu, everything we tried was amazing. Great service!! Will definitely go back again!
Saturday evening had dinner with a foodie friend from out of town. Michaels did not disappoint. Small but focused menu offerings, expertly prepared and presented. Attentive staff despite lively bar crowding and boisterous noise level. We enjoyed tuna crudo, apple/fennel salad, roast chicken, and tagliolini with crab. Bread order, deviled eggs, marinated olives and drinks. And we had some of the creme brulee and banana tatin. Go, but if you want to have conversation, not on a Saturday night...
Lively atmosphere and very friendly service. Interesting cocktails and creative options. We enjoyed the unusual wood fired vegetables with unexpected sauces and accompaniments. It was all delicious but a little rich. Nice, warm toned youthful decor. Loved it!
Awesome staff, amazing food, great service.
Food was very good, but service was very very slow.
Fui el martes pasado a una cena de negocios, comimos varios platos pork belly, fantástico. Duck confit excelente! Mussels HORRIBLES pequeños no muy fresco el sabor y pegajosos . No debieron haberlos servido.
No dije nada por no poner una nota maluca a mi reunión de negocios.
My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with our meal of shared small and medium plates. The staff was professional and guided us to the right dishes... oysters, tuna crudo, fried pigs ear, octopus with spicy crema , well executed.
We ordered the mussels appetizer, lamb, and the chicken main. The mussels were amazing. The lamb was so fatty it was inedible, and the chicken may have been the best I've ever had. So I wished we ordered the burger in lieu of the lamb but again, the chicken is amazing. Everything including the drinks are overpriced but there's nothing I can do about that.
We enjoyed our meal overall. Everything was well-prepared and excellent if a bit too heavy on the salt...especially the salad dressing. Service was quite attentive, with a lot of tables to turn over. The server really knew the dishes and offered some pairing choices as we ordered, very pleasant experience here. Very friendly vibe, and the meals are always worth the trip.
Came here with a large group for a celebration. Received excellent service from a patient server, had a great meal in a great setting. Highly recommend.
Great place, excellent and inventive menu/food, service very outstanding, music and ambiance fantastic. Only thing they need to work on is their supply chain from the kitchen to the table. While in theory you think you might be ok with dishes arriving when they are ready what often happens is two people get to chow while the other two look on longingly salivating.
Food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. Michael’s Genuine never disappoints. I highly recommend the short ribs or the duck confit!
Consistently good this Midtown/Design District staple remains a winner. And the drinks are good too !
Probably the best octopus I ever tasted
Enjoyed our lunch. Server was marginal, upsell was bordering on arrogant. The food was a star and the ancillary service personell was really very attentive and personable.
Always a favorite spot ❤️
I eat at MGFD frequently and know what I love. It was a first visit for my guest. So we ordered the Stracciatella with heirloom tomatoes to share, because that's always a winner. My guest wanted the bread service, something I typically avoid. The bread with the goat's milk butter and black salt was outrageously good with the Stracciatella. Now I'm craving it! The salads were terrific, too. And the setting never disappoints.
Excellent food and service. The desserts are always different and delicious. Michael’s never disappoints.
Enjoyed the food. Service was a little lacking and could’ve been better. The phone however was outstanding.
Amazing food and service.
We had a reservation through OpenTable which it appeared that the hostess could not find. The place was very busy on a Friday evening and so we made some concessions based on that. However, after waiting 20 minutes without as much as an acknowledgement from the hostess, I once again approached her. She asked again about the name on the reservation. At this time, I proceeded to show her the actual confirmation email with the reservation details. She told me that they would be clearing up a table soon. Once seated, everything went as it always does at Michael’s, great.
6Good was really good. Recommend the crab. Pizza and pasta were ok. Duck confit was superb. Octopus also very good. Service was slow. Had to remind them to pour us water. Fans were loud and obnoxious. Honestly only disappointed in service because you pay a pretty penny to eat there so service should complement.
Small portions for the price, everything is a la carte which makes it seem like even less food
