Jake was a great server and it was a wonderful meal!!
I made reservations for dinner, but when we arrived, we were placed in the bar. They were kind enough to move us when requested. The tables were close together and the restaurant was extremely noisy. The food was ok. The service from Bryan was wonderful. He checked in frequently to make sure had everything we needed.
Consistently great food! Would recommend for any occasion.
I know crab prices are up but the price of a small crabcake was steep. Ordered a side salad. It was tiny and only had a few pieces of cucumber and one cherry tomato on a few mesclun greens. Disappointing
Great Birthday dinner, our server was the BEST!!!!! Food was excellent! Great night. Open another restaurant in Katy, Tx. They would LOVE you and the food!
Great food and service!
Great service on a very busy night. Smooth waiter. Best rockfish dish ever, great ribs, terrific appetizers. Reasonable bill. Good wine.
Food and drinks were delicious. Our server had difficulty remembering our order and kept forgetting after being asked multiple times in the row.
the prices are decent. the food was very good as was the service. our server was pleasant and attentive. the noise level was moderate but at times louder but that was expected since it was lunch time on a Saturday. all in all, our dining experience was very good. I would absolutely go back and recommend others give them a try.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
Staff are friendly, accommodating and attentive. Food is always good and nice selection. Prices are reasonable. Parking is good, with overflow across the street.
The waiter Jake was awesome. He was very attentive and professional.
Michael's used to be one of my favorite go to places. However, food is not that great anymore. Keeping trying it periodically but it continues to disappoint.
Food was served at room temperature instead of hot. Sent it back, still not hot.
Meanwhile, the noise (in the main dining room from behind the wood wall) where bus people put used dishes, etc. was unbelievable. They just slam down whatever they are delivering, completely oblivious to people on the other side trying to enjoy a meal.
Very disappointing evening.
Great experience. I'll definitely come back
We have going to Michael's for many years. We have never been disappointed. We used them for our daughter's rehearsal dinner and everything was outstanding, great service, great drinks, great food, we even thought it was better than the wedding! Highly recommend Michael's for lunch, dinner, and especially, a rehearsal dinner!
Our service was great. The food was very good. I would go again,
One of our favorite spots. The Brussels sprouts are to die for. Sonia the Seafood club and Crab Cakes.
We got filets, ribs and rockfish Nicholas and loved everything. My husbands steak was over done, then under done, then jussst right. Everything tasted like we expected tho. We started with tuna tartar and French onion soup which were both fantastic. The appetizers came out quickly, but it was an hour after that that our entrees came out. Which was a bit ridiculous. And then with my husband’s steak being redone twice, it took even longer for his dinner. The manager was on it and rectified it both times. They took it off the bill, which I was glad about. They also brought out a delicious slice of cheesecake for my friend’s birthday.
Overall, taste of the food and service were great and we would come back again.
Went for lunch with friends. Salads with grilled salmon were delicious. Everyone loved it there.
Haven't eaten at Michaels in years. Went for lunch and sat outside. I ordered the ChopHouse Salad with steak, steak to be cooked medium rare. The steak was cooked well done and so tough it was difficult to eat. I regretted ordering the steak on the salad as the salad was delicious but the steak ruined it. Not impressed.
Thursday is Prime Rib night and we were really impressed. The piece was approximately 7" x 4" x 2" , tender and cooked perfectly. It came with delicious mashed potatoes and green beans (thankfully not "haricots vert"). Also the fish & chips meal was excellent.....a nice thick piece of cod with minimal batter, NOT all batter and minimal fish as I've had elsewhere.
The only negative was that neither meal was really warm and certainly could have been warmer.
Two for lunch—promptly seated upon arrival and greeted by server. Simple but tasty meals for both of us. Always enjoy dining here.
I had a bad experience at Michael’s a few years back. I gave it another chance and it has been 5 star since. Lauren called to talk to me about the bad experience I had over there and she was professional, very concerned and eager to fix the problem and ever since I have had zero complaints. Food is great, atmosphere is awesome and I love the brunch. Even with Covid the outdoor seating was just as nice as being inside. Whenever I want to go somewhere nice with friends that is close, we always pick Michael’s. Thanks!
I took my wife to Michael's for her birthday. Our meal and server were outstanding. Will be back soon!
The food and service were great as always. Lovely early dinner in a Sunday.
Love this place, haven’t had nothing that wasn’t good yet.
This was a favorite restaurant, but I think the busy crowd stressed the quality of the meals and the service level. Maybe I will come back during lunch and not dinner.
We asked for indoor seating in the main dining room. Our reservation was approved. When we arrived we were told that the main ding room was totally reserved for a large party. We ended up sitting at the bar, where it was too loud. A very bad experience on a busy Saturday evening. Not at all what we expected.
Great food, great drinks, great service.
I got the split level soup. It was nothing more than a salty cream broth, no crab, no veggies. All of our food was extremely salty. I usually enjoy the food at Michael’s but this was decidedly different. I should have sent the soup back.
We really like Michael's Cafe. Yesterday when we arrived, it was incredibly difficult to find a parking place anywhere, much less a handicapped spot (3 of our group of 4 have handicapped license plates). Then when we entered the restaurant, the woman at the check-in desk was on a very lengthy phone conversation apparently taking a carry out order. After a long wait, we were shown to our table. Our waitress seemed nice, but kept us waiting a long time to take our order. A second drink was ordered with never came. She said she gave the order to the bartender but he didn't make it. After we finished our entrees, we wanted to order desert, but our waitress didn't come to take the order. By this time, we had been at our table more than 2 hours. We had to go to the front desk to ask for our check! Is this because of Covid, and not having enough staff? It was a very disappointing lunch when we were out to celebrate a birthday.
I ordered coconut shrimp and the steak wedge salad. The shrimp were fishy and the dipping “sauce” was a cup of rice vinegar with a few chili flakes, not a “Thai dipping sauce” as the menu showed. The wedge salad was basically a wedge of iceberg and a bunch of Bleu cheese dressing. I counted 4 bits of bacon, 3 halves of cherry tomatoes (so a total of 1.5 cherry tomatoes) and zero radishes (menu showed that radishes were to be included), zero bagel seasoning (also showed as included on the menu). This was my first visit to Michael’s Cafe and most likely my last. Very disappointing, especially for what I paid.
The two items I wanted that was on the menue were not available. Other than that everything was good.
The food was great but service was surprisingly slow as it was not very busy. It took about an hour to get my food and I only ordered fried green tomatoes with crab meat.
We’re from out of town but make it our business to eat here every time we come. This is our 4th time eating at Michael’s. Cafe and will be back. The food is outstanding and normally the service is also…but tonight. Our waiter Brian was either overworked or just had an off night. The wine came wen my husband was half done with his meal.
Thanks! Good value and good food!
The atmosphere was perfect for a date & the food was delicious!
Two of our party got the Thursday night Prime Rib Special. It was very good, and a great price. The ribs and the grilled rockfish were also excellent. Very busy for Thursday night, be sure to make a reservation.
