Solid food and service. Dessert menu was too limited. Beer menu too limited. Wine was solid.
Used TravelZoo voucher for lunch. It was well worth the experience of fine dining with great service. The five course lunch was excellent. Each course brought to table was explained and the pace of service was good. All the food was very tasty and presented beautifully and portions were sufficient. We enjoyed lunch with wine.
A big disappointment. Touted as a Michelin 1 star the star has faded. We had the 5 course tasting menu. With most dishes the flavors were bland the scallops and the Shabu shabu were exceptions. We ordered the beef tenderloin rare. It looked rear when served but clearly been cooked earlier then the slices reheated on one side in a pan. The result was mostly well done. On a Saturday night the place was half full. That should have been a sign. Not recommended.
food and service was great, only complaint is the $29!!!! glass (1/2 glass) of "house" wine-Arnot-Roberts 2015 Chardonnay that retails at $39/bottle. I understand a markup but $29!!!! very hard to justify. My own fault for ordering without checking the price and I expected price range of $15-$20/glass and was shocked when I got the check.
Beyond any expectation I had previously imagined for the finest of dining. Every aspect completely top notch. Above all, the service, specifically our waiter David. He quite possibly could be one of the best in the industry, period. Well done to all of the Mina family. Cheers!
My family and I went there for our anniversary celebration. It was wonderful! The service was outstanding and the food was even better than that! Highly recommend this restaurant!
Top notch! You know you are blessed when you are able to experience a completely unique, and absolutely exquisite meal that is truly exceptional.
The beige decor from that aqua dump has got to go, but the service and flavor follows only after Acquarello and Coi---- and before everyone else --so far. Caviar parfait and Lobster main are too tasty to share...
(Dates: the best two-top is under the tree in back. [Boulevard dates better--try table 30 -or the one next to it.])
Service was excellent in the beginning, but then that kind of forget about us especially when we didn't order any alcohol drinks.
This is perfect it is a dining dream come true ! Tablecloths . A competent welcoming staff with knowledge of food and an inspired chef 👨🍳 👩🍳
Phenomenal 5-course pre fixe lunch--oyster, soup, tuna tartar, filet & chocolate mouse log. The food is fabulous; presented wonderfully and my server (Elizabeth) might be the best I've ever had. Perfect lunch--felt like a queen.
Excellent food and service. Value added using the travelzoo voucher. Great experience.
My husband and I came here for our anniversary and although they did write a nice happy anniversary card, that was the highlight of our meal. We came here because there was a travelzoo deal offering a 5 course lunch for $50. Seems like a good deal but the food was underwhelming. The first course was more like an amuse bouche and the tartare we had was very bland. Definitely needed salt or something. It feels like they forgot to season it. The duck we had was very chewy and unpleasant to eat. Our meal also was served very slowly. There was a big table next to us who got seated after and they finished everything before we got our dessert. We will not be returning
I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of the GM from Bardot in Las Vegas (which was amazing).
I had high expectations coming in and was not disappointed. The service was excellent without being intrusive. I had the chefs tasting menu and each course blew me away.
One of the best dinning experiences I’ve had in years and the best dinning experience ever at a One Michelin Star restaurant.
Continue to enjoy MM. Was very quiet on Sunday evening and food was great. By comparison we felt food was slightly better than a nearby * that we had dined at teh week before at 2x the price. In fairness at MM we had a standard 5 course and at * their standard 8 course. Myf theory on food price is that with every additional star, price increases by 50%
Thank you for providing a memorable evening! Food and service were outstanding!
Every course we had was beautifully presented and very flavorful.
The duck and beef dishes were excellent.
Service was quite good (but certainly expected in a place like this).
This is our second time dining here. Definitely recommend for those special occasions.
I find with avant garde restaurants there is a tendency to overdue the blending of new with old. The plates always looked attractive but on two items on their 5 course menu I found that whatever the new was overwhelmed the old. My cote de boeuf came out barely warm.
On a rare date with my husband, and while it is not inexpensive, it was worth every penny. We even sprung for The caviar course which was spectacular. The food was delicious and creative, there was a desert custard made with mushrooms that was the perfect amount of sweet over a cardamom cake, and the service was friendly, efficient and never overbearing.
We had the five course meal and it was really delicious. My favorite was the razor clam chowder and the scallops three ways. Each course was an unique experience. Plan on dinner taking a few hours and costing easily $500 for two people. However, it is well worth the price for a special occassion.
Hands down the most incredible meal we have ever had. Michael Mina's staff was impeccably trained to guide you through both the menus and wine list with ease. Can't wait for an excuse to go back and enjoy the food again.
Quite expensive for an unremarkable meal. Would have preferred to order a la carte. This was a sampler meal that could have had a few more courses or larger portions.
It turned out to be a very pleasant evening as the service was very good but the meal itself was rather so so.
We had a fabulous dining experience for my husband’s birthday. The food was great and our server David was awesome!
The food was delicious and the service was incredible!
I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't that expensive and the food was very much worth the price. delicious ingredients and good blend of flavors. I would definitely go back for special occasions. The Ahi tuna tartare was delicious!
We chose Michael Mina for our anniversary (and to compare with a previous anniversary at Quince). Given the price, we had elevated expectations for someone as wonderful and, of course, pricey as Quince. First around ambiance. We looked around and the people in the restaurant mostly looked like VCs or those just closing a business deal or celebrating some business event. Not many couples or small groups especially compared to Quince. Service was exceptional, eloquent, flawless. The sommelier arrived a little late (i.e. we started eating our first course) but that wasn't a big deal. I chose the non-vegetarian tasting menu and my wife chose the vegetarian menu. Great descriptions which even heightened our expectations. Unfortunately, the dishes, albeit good at most restaurants, didn't meet those enhanced expectations (vs Quince which did). So all in all, even though a great meal, we were disappointed especially when the the bill was $500.
Very nice & fancy restaurant. Super kind staffs there. Worthy to spend hundreds of dollars on special anniversary such as birthday for the significant other.
Fantastic food, fantastic service, will come again
A really nice well prepared dinner without molecular cooking.
One of the most enjoyable meals I've had in a while. Minas service was point on from start to finish. Tasty bread and herb butter on the table right away. Two of us had scallops which melted on our taste buds. My other guest had the pork fillet and she gave it thumbs up.
This worked perfectly with a beautiful bottle of Chardonay. However, I wasn't pleased of the way the serving of the wine was handled. Not opening the wine at the table! He got the approval from me that it was what I ordered and took the wine away, opened it at the bar, took a sip, and returned to the table. Commenced to pouring the wine and right away, I ask him first "how he found the wine"!
We enjoyed my special birthday lunch given by friends. The five course meal was excellently prepared. Our waitpeople were very attentive about my husband's gluten allergy.
The only discrepancy with the voucher was that the travelzoo printout indicated the meal included a non-alcoholic beverage for each person, but we were charged for the juice and coffee we ordered.
The chefs and staff at Michael Mina hit it out of the park on Saturday night! An amazing eight-course dinner, followed by equally amazing desserts. Our server, Kelsey, was knowledgable, skilled and just the right cross between totally professional and Minnesota friendly. My Bostonian friend was equally impressed. We will darken their doorstep again!
We had purchased two $49.99 each coupons for 5 course lunch. We actually ended up spending well over $200 (for lunch!) when all was said and done, and that was due to absolutely ridiculous prices on wines (chose ONE glass of cheaper option at over $20 per glass!), and the crazy price of $10 for a cappuccino!!! Perhaps if they had actually provided us with menus we might have seen that outrageous price! For god's sake if you are going to charge such a crazy price for coffee, at least CLEAN your espresso machine once in a while, so the drinks don't come out bitter and undrinkable! Portions are tiny and just OK.
Great food experience very creative, drinks excellent, the staff extremely professionak and diverse. Food cook with local produce and the taste exquisite. Love to go back again.
Did five course lunch tasting menu. Didn't know most of it was seafood based and my wife isn't a big seafood fan. Wish we had known in advance.
We didn’t feel like the food was up to par with the price.
Everyone there was very friendly and try to meet your need as much as they could. The food is excellent even though we couldn't mix orders with 8 courses chef's tasting menu and 5 courses.
Overall, it is a great place for special occasion, no doubt
We went for a business meal + celebration. The place has a grand entrance and beautiful from inside. The staff is friendly. The waiter was pleasant to talk to and he explained all the choices form the menu and what can be customized. We had champagne and red wine, it was pricey and delicious. Food was served in timely manner, it looked and tasted great. We also ordered vegetarian dishes from the starter(avocado and other veggies) and main course (pasta) and they were awesome. I'd definitely go there again.
We had the Valentine’s Day dinner set, which was absolutely astounding. The perfect course sizes and the services was outstanding. Everything you would expect for a restaurant of this caliber.
As a special occasion, this place offered a beautiful spacious place, delicately crafted dishes, and attentive staff. This was a nice overall experience that does not come everyday.
