Michael Mina - Bellagio Ratings and Reviews
We did the spectacular tasting menu with wine pairing. Mushroom soup is, by far, the best mushroom soup we've had, and we've had many. Vegetarian pairing was kept interesting with crispy textures added to grains and veggies. All courses were elevated well above the standard fare. Service was flawless, restaurant is very comfortable.
Michael Mina 2017 is not at all comparable to Michael Mina 2007; and that’s a shame. Time, and the culinary shift to presentation over taste, have taken their toll. The Foie Gras we shared was undercooked and, sadly, its accompaniments were lacking in their ability to complement what, when properly prepared and served, is exquisite. The balance of the meal? Unfortunately, only average. Sad best describes my feelings about our dining experience.
Our Christmas Eve dinner was wonderful. Everything was delicious as I remember. The only downfall was there was a piece of plastic (corner of a plastic bag) in our food. Things happen and we were fine until one of the server came back to tell us that chef said it was part of the cartilage of a fish. My husband is a Japanese chef and he knew it was not part of a fish and it shouldn't have been in a vegetable regardless. The server spoke to manager and came back with that answer so not sure whether manager or the chef made that up. It's all about the principle, own your mistakes and simply apologize. This was very disappointing. We were having a fabulous time up until this hapoened at the very end of our main course. Ambience was romantic, yet a bit dated. It hasn't changed much since 20 years.
We had the Pre-Show meal. Servics provided by Jeronimo was efficient and courteous. Started with the porccini soup, very earthy and well balanced. That was followed by the Lobster Pot Pie (LPP)..... out of this world, this is a Michael Mina signature dish. We also had the sole, flakey and delicious. Finished with the coconut lime tapioca, the dessert had it all, sweet, sour a burst of flavors from cherry and passion fruit. This restaurant is a must try, we will also be back.
Food was fabulous as always. This was at least the 5th time we have dined here. All other times we did the tasting menu. It is incredible but this time we each chose our two favorite dishes from the tasting menu. For me, it was the tuna tartar starter and the lobster pot pie. This time they were full size servings. I could hardly eat it all but it was so, so good, I managed to do it. Service could not have been better and the wine selection is unbelievable. Michael Minas remains our favorite restaurant in Las Vegas.
Consistently Excellent. started at bar, bartenders friendly helpful and knowledgeable.
Reservation ready right on time.Host is always on his game . made us feel welcome and appreciated.wait staff was excellent . Food outstanding. the tuna appetizer and lobster pot pie just great
The white truffle tasting menu with paired wines was amazing! Delicious dishes, skillfully selected wine pairings, and generous portions of white (and black) truffle. Service was outstanding. This dinner was the highlight of my three days in Vegas. Two thumbs way up!
Michael Mina's was good as always. This was my third time to help the lobster pot pie and it was sensational. We were set near the serving area for the second time. Not a very desirable see when the restaurant was empty . We will not allow this to happen again. It was a birthday and they were very nice and bringing a dessert to celebrate. Great atmosphere.
We had the tasting menu which was excellent but a lot of food. I was disappointed in the Wagyu beef as it was not as tender as I expected; but the meat had a good flavor. The beef was also the last tasting and everything else was exceptional! We will go back.
The food was great but our server did not care about the service but upselling the food. First off, we ordered one hot tea, one mojito and ice water for three of us. He brought two mojitos and put one for me and my husband and when we informed the server that we only ordered one mojito he simply said that he thought we ordered two. The server did say that he would take care of the second drink but we asked him to take the drink away.
We ordered two appetizers for the table but he brought out three dishes and when we asked why there are three dishes he said you ordered three appetizers and again he apologized and asked us to enjoy the appetizer and he will take care of the bill.
After the appetizer incident the server failed to check up on our table while we were having our entrees not even once until he brought us the dessert menu. Of course we didn’t want to stay any longer to have dessert and we ended our celebration for my mother’s birthday...
I have admired Michael Mina for many years, I was not disappointed in any way with the restaurant. I chose the tasting menu and had possibly the best meal of my life! It was Michael Mina's greatest hits! I can't remember the server's name, but the service was phenomenal! I came to Las Vegas for my 50th birthday and was treated to an incredible experience, kudos to everyone involved.
I ate at this restaurant’s predecessor twelve years ago when it was called Aqua and was blown away by the vegetarian tasting menu. It was just as amazing this time around. Our waiter Greg gave us exceptional, impeccable, friendly service. We enjoyed the incredibly imaginative dishes even more because of him. If you want a truly memorable dining experience while you are in Las Vegas- this is the place...
We both opted for the signature tasting. With minor food accommodations required, they graciously did so, which was much appreciated. The food was excellent, a few of the wine pairings were not our favorite, though we do acknowledge everyones palate is different. The wait staff were AMAZING: knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely courteous.
Overall all our dining experience was sublime.
We would most certainly return in the future.
Get over yourselves. Expected better food. Service was friendly but slow. This was our second time at Michael Mina, the first was shortly after they opened. We weren’t impressed then either. Sorry we gave it a second chance. With all the other dining options in Vegas don’t waste your time or money at Michael Minas, try Lago or Giada or Fleur to name a few
