Best restaurant in Oxford if you are looking for a nice meal. Great service, decent wines, ambiance is nice.
We came to Oxford to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The service was nice and our waiter was friendly and attentive. We’ve eaten at MIA before and our dinner on Nov8 pales in comparison. The risotto was pasty and sticky, the steaks were charred, the carbonara was so oily with an odd taste, which we didn’t eat it. We understand you’re the “only game” in town as far as fine dining goes, but we would have expected much better food. We’ll seek a more casual dining next time we’re in Oxford because we’ll be able to count on the quality.
Putting the flowers in the vase at the table for me was much appreciated! The server was very warm and welcoming, and helped to make our anniversary dinner a success.
Chicago prices far exceeding prices for wine at any of the top Chicago restaurants. $50 filet and no extras for a college town is pricey!
Food was outstanding as was the service. This was our first visit and we we will be back! Highly recommend.
Hands-down the best restaurant in Oxford Ohio. We love both the bar as well as the restaurant.
The bar is outstanding, with excellent bartenders. Alex and Tyler are both fantastic, delivering personal service and excellent mixing.
The restaurant is similarly outstanding, with really top notch cooking. The appetizers are all terrific; the short rib appetizer and Parmesan fries are not to be missed. The entrées are similarly outstanding.
The service is wonderful.
Truly, not to be missed.
Nice place but way over priced for small portions. Food was good, but not spectacular - didn’t match price.. Drinks weak too. Bar/lounge area was really nice.
Lovely staff, very friendly and attentive. Food was very good. The Caesar salad was excellent and the chicken was very good as well. Calamari was not the best, would not recommend that appetizer. Wine and specialty drinks were very good.
Great service, creative cocktails, and awesome food. Can’t wait to return.
Dinner for bday for our kid! Was delicious, great service!
Terrific server! Excellent food!
Great food, excellent friendly service.
Dropping off at school and we visit MIA every time we are on Oxford!
My wife received her Doctorate of Education
We celebrated my husbands birthday while visiting the university. Lovely dinner and great service
We loved it. Great food, great staff.
Great food and service! Maybe a little overpriced for Oxford, OH but definitely our “go to” place for a Miami University graduation celebration. Don’t know when we will be back in town but when we are we will return to MIA
My husband and I went for our anniversary. It was worth every penny! Our waiter was great and even knew details about the butter they served for the bread. They knew it was our anniversary and treated us very well. I would absolutely recommend saving up for and visiting this restaurant for a special occasion!
We chose MIA because it was the only restaurant we could find in Oxford that took reservations. What a find! The food and service were fabulous.
We attended MIA's annual Easter Sunday Brunch, which we discovered online when we were searching for a restaurant in Oxford, OH (home of Miami University and close to Hueston Woods State Park). Usually the restaurant is closed on Sunday, but if the Easter Brunch is any indication of the quality of the restaurant during regular hours, we heartily recommend it. Every aspect of the brunch exceeded expectations: the staff was attentive, but not imposing, and the food featured was excellent in every way imaginable: perfectly prepared scrambled eggs, delicious breakfast hash browns, fresh fruit, spring mix salad, fresh green beans, cold salmon tray with capers and spiced cream cheese, carving station with prime rib and turkey breast, omelet station and wonderful desserts by Servatii's...I'm sure I'm leaving something out! I believe this will become an annual family tradition.
Even though it's almost an hour away from home, we're looking forward to a regular dining experience soon, based on our enjoyable trip last Sunday.
Awesome drinks, awesome appetizers. awesome food!!!
Spencer, our waiter, was great. Best crab cake ever, awesome meal.
Food and service (Lance) were excellent!
Fantastic birthday dinner for my daughter! Our server, Kelly, was perfect in every way! Knew all the right touches to make the evening special. Food was superb, as usual.
What a pleasant dining experience we all had! Delicious food and service with a smile. The server was there when we needed her and gave us space to enjoy our meal as well. A perfect night was had by all!
The food is truly wonderful with so many great options. Had the tuna and would definitely do it again. Caesar salad was pretty great too.
Great service and food was fabulous!!! Would definitely go again
Service was awesome and the hostess was great and really helped out our reservations. Above and beyond.
The food quality and portions were poor. The service was great and so was the ambiance. The prices are outrageous with respect to the portions served.
Our service was impeccable, food was prepared promptly and properly. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the nice experience for my wife's birthday dinner. The fantastic experience paired with our close proximity to the restaurant ensures our return!!!
Hosts were great. Server was attentive but not overwhelming.
Service was excellent, our Server Kelly was wonderful, parking was a hike, probably take a limo next time
Great service in every way you'd hope for. The food was amazing as well as the service
We had a great time and glad to see MIA open again. Looking forward to the next time very soon.
All food was very good and properly cooked -- even the chargrilled asparagus. Service was very attentive and amiable without being intrusive. Enjoyed the artworks on the ceiling.
One cavil: why would a quality restaurant abbreviate its menu (on Valentine's Day, no less) because the local university is on "winter term"?
Service was great the food was very good. The only issue I had, menu was a little limited.
As a group of 4 with 3 vegans, we requested options only available off-menu. Reserving on the same day, our group was offered 2 vegan entrée options, both of which were enjoyed.
Food very good ), but restaurant menu was "limited" due to Miami U's "j-term" -- short January term. Curious. Lobster ravioli was highly acclaimed. Pasta carbonara was about 98% pasta and 2% carbonara, but tasty. Bruschetta Dolce very good. Kinda like the second-floor room, in the Elms Hotel, with good windows; permits observation of the town sidewalk traffic without being observed in return.
I love this place. It is a 45 minute drive for us to Oxford, and well worth it.
We have a new favorite restaurant in Oxford. M.I.A. does everything right!
