Always good food, prices ate fair on most dishes, service has been excellent on every occasion. Be wary of wine prices.
the salmon and shrimp in the pasta special we ordered was practically non existent. The salad and carpaccio were very good.
The food was great, but the service was even better.
Mother's Day brunch. Late sitting, so they ran out of some of the better deserts. Some of the main course choices were almost out and had been out too long. Food was not bad, but not outstanding for the price. Service was not up to the imposed 18% gratuity. It was buffet so all that was needed was refreshing drinks and clearing plates, neither of which was appropriately timely.
Went for Mother’s Day brunch... quality wasn’t as great but have had good dinner there before so perhaps it was an isolated event
I have dined at Mia Francesca many times. Their food is excellent and typically the service is as excellent as well. The reason I am lowering the stars is for their failure to communicate that for my particular reservation time...THEY WOULD ONLY BE SERVING BRUNCH. They were very good about calling me 1 week before and I believe a couple more times to be sure that we still wanted the reservations. I feel that at the times they called they should have made sure that I knew it was buffet only ($45 per adult and $18 per child) I had a 1 yr old, a 6 yr old, and my 90 year old mother with me, not worth the price for them for sure. Also I as a rule don't do buffets because I can never eat that much. After questioning this at the restaurant, I was told by one of the wait staff that it had been posted on your website. My daughter went home that afternoon and didn't see it posted. So when we had to pay almost double what we would have for ordering off the menu, needless to say, this put a bad ending to my Mother's Day. So I would suggest for Mia Francesca when they have the opportunity on the phone with reservation confirmation and it will be BUFFET ONLY, they need to be sure that the guest are fully aware of this change.
Visit here often, food is always delish! However, after making reservations on open table and having to call them back to confirm reservations never was the buffet only option mentioned.
Mother’s Day Brunch, it was busy so the noise was probably louder than usual. The food and options were excellent.
Terrible Sunday mothers day
three generations disappointed
Arrived for 8pm reservation after college graduation. The table was great and the wait staff was pleasant though obviously very tired from a long day. The noise level was high but the decor was good. The major problem was that the 5 people in our group of 7 that ordered pasta with chicken in it, had chicken that was so tough that it was barely edible. The manager was told and one of the meals was reimbursed. Despite a long hard day, effort should be made that the food @ 8pm is as good as the food @ 5pm
I took my adult son to MF for dinner before a movie at 7PM. We had reservations for 5:45 and ordered promptly, but time passed. I reminded our server and the manager about our film reservations. By 6:50 we had still not been served and had to leave without eating. Our server did tell us to come by after the movie, and our food would be ready to take home--at no charge. This was something, at least, but clearly the restaurant was unprepared to deal with the number of customers dining there, even at a very early hour.
Grouper was excellent. Not a quiet place especially when there are a lot of large parties. We were back by the kitchen and people in a private room kept squeezing by to go to the restrooms. They should have created a different path for people. Food took a long time due to the large groups. Food was very good though.
We’ve been here several times and always been pleased. It’s a beautiful restaurant. Love that Mia Francesca does a teacher appreciation deal.
My husband and I took a long-time friend to dinner. My husband's caesar salad was not as good as expected. The lettuce was cut in strips which made it almost impossible to get on your fork and into your mouth. the dressing was also lacking. It was not as good of a meal as it could have been.
We had a wonderful time! Dinner was exceptional and the service we received from EmilyRose was awesome! We will be back with friends!!
We loved the ambience. The server was great and the food was delicious. Thanks for Teacher Appreciation Day . We were so well treated.
The food and service were great as usual. We’ll be back again.
Took the parents for a celebration. They loved their version of chicken parm, particularly the sauce and the portion size was enough for take home for a second dinner. I had the scallops special, which was quite good. Have been several times and each time think I really should come here more often.
My boyfriend and I were in the mood for Italian and had never been to Mia Francesca’s, though we’ve heard good things. We sat on the patio with James and he was very helpful and attentive. On his recommendation we got the Bruschetta Ricotta which was amazing. Then I had the spinach ravioli (and I added some salmon) and my boyfriend got the pollo parmesan. Both were to die for. We finished off with the torta bacio (which was their chocolate mousse) and let me tell you, we will definitely be back. Thanks for everything!
Food was good but things were not clicking well as they usually do. Asked for bread and was told they had such a big graduation crowd the night before they didn't have any. (We were there on a Sunday night)! When food arrived, meatballs did not come on spaghetti....asked waitress for them and she went to get them and said they were on the house for being late....bill came and they were still on the bill. One of our party ordered sweet tea and half way in the meal had to remind waitress to bring it and she never brought a refill as she said she would. She did ask if we wanted a "to-go" cup for some to take home....a bit late! The restaurant was definitely not crowded so that cannot be the excuse for the "unusual service." AND, everyone at our table had to keep our jackets/wraps on because it was so COLD in the restaurant. We had asked for inside instead of outside since it was chilly outside.
Food was delicious had a great time for my birthday
A favorite for date night. Bruschetta alla romana is amazing. Great atmosphere and service.
Went for my 44th birthday with my family and daughters. Great appetizers, dinner, drinks, and dessert. Fun evening for all.
This was very generic "Italian" cuisine. Similar to Macaroni Grill or some other chain. Nothing authentic. Prices are really high for what this place is - kind of mix between a sports bar, imitation Italian food place. If you want authentic Italian - look elsewhere for sure.
Food was great, but took a while to arrive given the small number of people in the restaurant at the time.
Great dinner - very attentive, polite and professional server. Food was terrific - pasta, homemade, cooked perfectly and delicious. The special pecan/chocolate/caramel brownie with ice cream on top was delicious. It wasn't really crowded at the time we went, so the noise level was fine. (I've been before and it can be a bit loud - but in an energetic way - not a bad one.)
Bread served piping hot right from the oven - it was great.
I am glad we selected this restaurant!
Easter brunch buffet was fair. The waitress was very nice. While waiting for the bill the manager put on our table a $15 off $75 or more coupon to use anytime during the month of April. The bill came so I included the coupon with my credit card and gave it to the manager to ring up. He can back and threw the coupon on the table (literally). I assumed he was giving it back to me to use again. When he came back with the bill he did not take off the $15. The food was not worth $160. Also, an 18% gratuity on a party of 4 for a buffet is a rip off. Coupled with the mediocre food, I won't be back.
Way too expensive for Easter brunch and automatic 18% gratuity for buffet service ridiculous.
My daughter and I went here for the Easter Brunch. The food wasn’t bad but for $45 a person the brunch selections were minimal. Let’s just say we have been to less expensive brunches that had way more food selections. There was no omelet station where you could get a customized omelet. The carving Station served only ham and beef which I don’t eat. Usually carved turkey is available. Although a chicken dish was served, there was no seafood entre, like salmon or something else to choose from. There also was no turkey or chicken sausage for those who don’t want pork. The appetizers were not bad, but the selection was minimal. The selection of deserts was totally disappointing. We are pretty good tippers, but I was annoyed to find that the tip was added on to our bill. It was almost $20! And this is for a buffet where we went and got our own food....IJS! Ok, so we each had a drink, but our bill came to $135!! What a rip-off....we won’t be going back here again for brunch!
We went to Mia Francesca's for Easter brunch. We did not have to wait for our table. Originally, they were seating us upstairs, but due to difficulty with stairs for one member, we asked to be seated downstairs. They immediately found us a table that was being cleared. Very accommodating. The buffet's were excellent; and the prime rib at the carving station is some of the best we've ever eaten. Everyone enjoyed the food. A great variety of cold, hot and carving stations. We will go again and highly recommend it.
This was a good choice for Easter brunch. The buffet was extensive and tasty. However, for the price, I would have expected clean silverware to be provided upon returning to the table after each course, not having the plate disappear and the used silverware lying on the tablecloth! Also, our table for two had a cloth on it that was probably intended for a table of six. It touched the floor on all sides and was impossible to get your knees underneath! Plus, an 18% gratuity was automatically added to the bill and included another line for an additional tip for the waiter. I felt 18%, when the meal was a buffet, was more than sufficient.
Had a very nice Easter Sunday brunch buffet. Arrived 15 min early for our reservation but were still seated promptly. Sat on the patio, very nice; I didn’t realize they have outdoor patio seating even though I walked by it next to the front entrance. Parked on the surface deck lot by Lassiter Mill Rd and JC Penny for a short walk to the restaurant. Glad we started at 10:45, it got pretty packed at 11:45. Lots of choices on the buffet, pleasant surroundings, atmosphere was a bit chaotic but service was attentive, a bit pricy at $45/person + beverages + 17% gratuity included, but worth it. I’ll keep it in mind for Sunday brunch in the future.
Easter brunch was phenomenal. Enough of options for any palette. Tiramisu is heavenly. Prime rib combined with horseradish sauce was tops. I could keep writing but I'm getting hungry
In the past I have only been to Mia Francesca Trattoria for the Sunday brunch (which is AMAZING & I highly recommend) but decided to take some out-of-town guests for a special dinner. It did not disappoint. While the menu is on the smaller side, there is something for everyone, and all of the food is excellent. This restaurant is perfect for all occasions.
My husband and I have come to the conclusion that Mia Francesca's is the best Italian restaurant we have gone to in the Raleigh area -- and we have frequented a number of Italian restaurants in the area. The food is excellent, the service friendly, and the ambience just lively enough. We highly recommend it to all acquaintances.
I had the chicken picata and loved it. Chicken was tender and flavorful. My girlfriend had pasta asparagus and the cheese sauce was awesome! Excellent choices. It was late on a Sunday so it was pretty quiet, but can understand why it has a reputation of being loud when crowded.
This was my first time, and I loved it! Cannot wait to go back. The food was so delicious, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend the tiramisu!
This was my first time dining here and I was very pleased. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The ambiance was warm and inviting.
Good service. Nice evening. Thank you.
