A favorite for date night. Bruschetta alla romana is amazing. Great atmosphere and service.
Went for my 44th birthday with my family and daughters. Great appetizers, dinner, drinks, and dessert. Fun evening for all.
This was very generic "Italian" cuisine. Similar to Macaroni Grill or some other chain. Nothing authentic. Prices are really high for what this place is - kind of mix between a sports bar, imitation Italian food place. If you want authentic Italian - look elsewhere for sure.
Food was great, but took a while to arrive given the small number of people in the restaurant at the time.
Great dinner - very attentive, polite and professional server. Food was terrific - pasta, homemade, cooked perfectly and delicious. The special pecan/chocolate/caramel brownie with ice cream on top was delicious. It wasn't really crowded at the time we went, so the noise level was fine. (I've been before and it can be a bit loud - but in an energetic way - not a bad one.)
Bread served piping hot right from the oven - it was great.
I am glad we selected this restaurant!
Easter brunch buffet was fair. The waitress was very nice. While waiting for the bill the manager put on our table a $15 off $75 or more coupon to use anytime during the month of April. The bill came so I included the coupon with my credit card and gave it to the manager to ring up. He can back and threw the coupon on the table (literally). I assumed he was giving it back to me to use again. When he came back with the bill he did not take off the $15. The food was not worth $160. Also, an 18% gratuity on a party of 4 for a buffet is a rip off. Coupled with the mediocre food, I won't be back.
Way too expensive for Easter brunch and automatic 18% gratuity for buffet service ridiculous.
My daughter and I went here for the Easter Brunch. The food wasn’t bad but for $45 a person the brunch selections were minimal. Let’s just say we have been to less expensive brunches that had way more food selections. There was no omelet station where you could get a customized omelet. The carving Station served only ham and beef which I don’t eat. Usually carved turkey is available. Although a chicken dish was served, there was no seafood entre, like salmon or something else to choose from. There also was no turkey or chicken sausage for those who don’t want pork. The appetizers were not bad, but the selection was minimal. The selection of deserts was totally disappointing. We are pretty good tippers, but I was annoyed to find that the tip was added on to our bill. It was almost $20! And this is for a buffet where we went and got our own food....IJS! Ok, so we each had a drink, but our bill came to $135!! What a rip-off....we won’t be going back here again for brunch!
We went to Mia Francesca's for Easter brunch. We did not have to wait for our table. Originally, they were seating us upstairs, but due to difficulty with stairs for one member, we asked to be seated downstairs. They immediately found us a table that was being cleared. Very accommodating. The buffet's were excellent; and the prime rib at the carving station is some of the best we've ever eaten. Everyone enjoyed the food. A great variety of cold, hot and carving stations. We will go again and highly recommend it.
This was a good choice for Easter brunch. The buffet was extensive and tasty. However, for the price, I would have expected clean silverware to be provided upon returning to the table after each course, not having the plate disappear and the used silverware lying on the tablecloth! Also, our table for two had a cloth on it that was probably intended for a table of six. It touched the floor on all sides and was impossible to get your knees underneath! Plus, an 18% gratuity was automatically added to the bill and included another line for an additional tip for the waiter. I felt 18%, when the meal was a buffet, was more than sufficient.
Had a very nice Easter Sunday brunch buffet. Arrived 15 min early for our reservation but were still seated promptly. Sat on the patio, very nice; I didn’t realize they have outdoor patio seating even though I walked by it next to the front entrance. Parked on the surface deck lot by Lassiter Mill Rd and JC Penny for a short walk to the restaurant. Glad we started at 10:45, it got pretty packed at 11:45. Lots of choices on the buffet, pleasant surroundings, atmosphere was a bit chaotic but service was attentive, a bit pricy at $45/person + beverages + 17% gratuity included, but worth it. I’ll keep it in mind for Sunday brunch in the future.
Easter brunch was phenomenal. Enough of options for any palette. Tiramisu is heavenly. Prime rib combined with horseradish sauce was tops. I could keep writing but I'm getting hungry
In the past I have only been to Mia Francesca Trattoria for the Sunday brunch (which is AMAZING & I highly recommend) but decided to take some out-of-town guests for a special dinner. It did not disappoint. While the menu is on the smaller side, there is something for everyone, and all of the food is excellent. This restaurant is perfect for all occasions.
My husband and I have come to the conclusion that Mia Francesca's is the best Italian restaurant we have gone to in the Raleigh area -- and we have frequented a number of Italian restaurants in the area. The food is excellent, the service friendly, and the ambience just lively enough. We highly recommend it to all acquaintances.
I had the chicken picata and loved it. Chicken was tender and flavorful. My girlfriend had pasta asparagus and the cheese sauce was awesome! Excellent choices. It was late on a Sunday so it was pretty quiet, but can understand why it has a reputation of being loud when crowded.
This was my first time, and I loved it! Cannot wait to go back. The food was so delicious, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend the tiramisu!
This was my first time dining here and I was very pleased. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The ambiance was warm and inviting.
Good service. Nice evening. Thank you.
Been wanting to check this place out for a while. It’s really cute. The food was good (loved the bruschetta) and the drinks were even better (tasty rosemary sangria and Italian beer and wine list). Had a really sweet waitress named Emily Rose that made our experience a very pleasant one.
We visited Mia Francesca Trattoria after a show at DPAC recently and were treated to a very pleasant experience. The restaurant was not that busy (Sunday at 6PM) so the noise level was low and we could chat without effort. The food was delicious, the service was very professional and friendly and the prices were appropriate for the quality of the food that we were served. We look forward to our next visit to Raleigh so we can make a return visit.
Our server, Tom, was wonderful. But he was way over worked as they seemed short staffed, thus the reason for not all "5 stars".... Wait time for entrees, some of the drinks, check out was a bit longer than we expected, but we had overall a pleasant evening!
My husband and I have gone to this restaurant many times and found the food and service to be excellent each time. However, the manager that was seating customers last night acted in an inappropriate manner in my opinion. We were 30 minutes early for our reservation. The manager advised that we would be seated closer to our reservation time so we responded that we would be at the bar. 5 minutes after our reservation time I looked towards the front desk and the the manager came to seat us. As I walked past the manager he turned to me and said that they were waiting for us to let them know when we were ready and there was miscommunication. His tone and mannerism was very confrontational and upsetting. Hopefully this is not the way he typically handles himself.
Love this place. Has a great gluten free menu. Have been coming here for years.
Have been here several times and food is outstanding! The service is first class .
Everyone at restaurant is out to make sure the experience is first class.
The food was delicious I had the chicken Parmesan. however, the side of spaghetti was a very small portion for the money. You should let your customers know or put it on the menu that the pasta is spicy because I had to send mine back I can’t eat spicy foods and there was too much crushed red pepper on it. But you guys were awesome in helping me with that.
Delicious Italian with a little twist. Some of our dishes were so wonderful. Highly recommend checking out some of the specials as well as the Bruschetta with ricotta. The lobster bisque was not what we expected ( it was brown and not really creamy) but they graciously took it back. Service was very good and they work as a team. Note that cannoli includes 2 so you don’t need to order 1 for each person. They do offer a dessert platter to share which is a really nice option.
The service and ambiance is good. The food not so much.
Ordered the mahi mahi which tasted a little funny. Wasn't sure, maybe it's the sauce, and ate it anyway. That night when I arrived home, I regretted my decision.
I asked for spicy sauce on the side of pasta. The sauce was not spicy - really didn't have any taste. The waitress tried to have it re-done but the second sauce didn't have any flavor either. I gave up.
Our food was excellent. Ambience quiet & warm & welcoming. Dont leave without enjoying the profiteroles. They are divine.!!!’
Waitress was attentive but not bothersome.
We would not have stayed because we saw the health grade was only 92.5. We don't go to restaurants unless the grade is 95 or more. We stayed because it was raining and my husband didn't want to drive and find another restaurant. They better get the rating up or thats the last time for us.
Had a wonderful experience and the food was very good.
Everything abput Mia Francesca was superb and the service and food was outstanding
It’s a big restaurant, very busy and you wait to have your table . It’s shame when you reserved a table for Valentine’s Day. The food is good but not exceptional. You wait to order your meal.
Well, for business meal why not but for special occasion no, no, no.
My husband and I went here for Valentine's Day. Part of the reason we picked it was because they did not do a pre-fixed menu for the occasion, and we appreciated that. We were sat in a back room, that looks to normally be reserved for large groups, along with about 25-30 other couples. The chairs looked to be borrowed from the attached hotel. While I understand that V-day is a busy night, it felt like the couples were shoved into that back room like a can of sardines. The lighting in that back room was bright and stark vs the main dining room which was dimmed and candle-lit. Having not dined here before, only seeing photos and walking by, this is the ambiance I pictured for our dinner. The bruschetta was wonderful, the pasta entrees were average if not bland, and the tiramisu was great. Our waiter handed us our check and our card was sitting on the table waiting to be picked up for 15 minutes. Overall, I assume this restaurant would be a better experience on a normal night, but the food was not enough to make me want to come back and try it.
My wife and I went on Valentine's Day, 2018, typically a very busy day for most restaurants. we were promptly seated after a quick drink at the bar, in a great booth. Thomas was our waiter, and he was outstanding, I ordered what he had recommended from the selections I provided and my meal was excellent, as was my wife's. received a message from the restaurant shortly after returning home, thanking us for the visit. A very nice evening, we will visit Mia Francesca again.

Went for Valentines dinner and everything was so beautifully decorated from the bouquets of red, pink and white balloons to the randomly placed heart balloons to the special pink or red napkins. So romantic and made you feel special. Food is always spectacular and service fabulous. One of the best places in Raleigh to eat!!!
It was a lovely Valentines Day dinner! The food was excellent, and the ambiance and service were very good.
Took my wife out for Valentine's day. Had a Great time. Very good food and atmosphere. Thanks.
Valentines Day. It was crowded and our waiter could have used a hand but he did the absolute best he could.
Great place for Italian food! Love this place.
