Our server, Tom, was wonderful. But he was way over worked as they seemed short staffed, thus the reason for not all "5 stars".... Wait time for entrees, some of the drinks, check out was a bit longer than we expected, but we had overall a pleasant evening!
My husband and I have gone to this restaurant many times and found the food and service to be excellent each time. However, the manager that was seating customers last night acted in an inappropriate manner in my opinion. We were 30 minutes early for our reservation. The manager advised that we would be seated closer to our reservation time so we responded that we would be at the bar. 5 minutes after our reservation time I looked towards the front desk and the the manager came to seat us. As I walked past the manager he turned to me and said that they were waiting for us to let them know when we were ready and there was miscommunication. His tone and mannerism was very confrontational and upsetting. Hopefully this is not the way he typically handles himself.
Love this place. Has a great gluten free menu. Have been coming here for years.
Have been here several times and food is outstanding! The service is first class .
Everyone at restaurant is out to make sure the experience is first class.
The food was delicious I had the chicken Parmesan. however, the side of spaghetti was a very small portion for the money. You should let your customers know or put it on the menu that the pasta is spicy because I had to send mine back I can’t eat spicy foods and there was too much crushed red pepper on it. But you guys were awesome in helping me with that.
Delicious Italian with a little twist. Some of our dishes were so wonderful. Highly recommend checking out some of the specials as well as the Bruschetta with ricotta. The lobster bisque was not what we expected ( it was brown and not really creamy) but they graciously took it back. Service was very good and they work as a team. Note that cannoli includes 2 so you don’t need to order 1 for each person. They do offer a dessert platter to share which is a really nice option.
The service and ambiance is good. The food not so much.
Ordered the mahi mahi which tasted a little funny. Wasn't sure, maybe it's the sauce, and ate it anyway. That night when I arrived home, I regretted my decision.
I asked for spicy sauce on the side of pasta. The sauce was not spicy - really didn't have any taste. The waitress tried to have it re-done but the second sauce didn't have any flavor either. I gave up.
Our food was excellent. Ambience quiet & warm & welcoming. Dont leave without enjoying the profiteroles. They are divine.!!!’
Waitress was attentive but not bothersome.
We would not have stayed because we saw the health grade was only 92.5. We don't go to restaurants unless the grade is 95 or more. We stayed because it was raining and my husband didn't want to drive and find another restaurant. They better get the rating up or thats the last time for us.
Had a wonderful experience and the food was very good.
Everything abput Mia Francesca was superb and the service and food was outstanding
It’s a big restaurant, very busy and you wait to have your table . It’s shame when you reserved a table for Valentine’s Day. The food is good but not exceptional. You wait to order your meal.
Well, for business meal why not but for special occasion no, no, no.
My husband and I went here for Valentine's Day. Part of the reason we picked it was because they did not do a pre-fixed menu for the occasion, and we appreciated that. We were sat in a back room, that looks to normally be reserved for large groups, along with about 25-30 other couples. The chairs looked to be borrowed from the attached hotel. While I understand that V-day is a busy night, it felt like the couples were shoved into that back room like a can of sardines. The lighting in that back room was bright and stark vs the main dining room which was dimmed and candle-lit. Having not dined here before, only seeing photos and walking by, this is the ambiance I pictured for our dinner. The bruschetta was wonderful, the pasta entrees were average if not bland, and the tiramisu was great. Our waiter handed us our check and our card was sitting on the table waiting to be picked up for 15 minutes. Overall, I assume this restaurant would be a better experience on a normal night, but the food was not enough to make me want to come back and try it.
My wife and I went on Valentine's Day, 2018, typically a very busy day for most restaurants. we were promptly seated after a quick drink at the bar, in a great booth. Thomas was our waiter, and he was outstanding, I ordered what he had recommended from the selections I provided and my meal was excellent, as was my wife's. received a message from the restaurant shortly after returning home, thanking us for the visit. A very nice evening, we will visit Mia Francesca again.

Went for Valentines dinner and everything was so beautifully decorated from the bouquets of red, pink and white balloons to the randomly placed heart balloons to the special pink or red napkins. So romantic and made you feel special. Food is always spectacular and service fabulous. One of the best places in Raleigh to eat!!!
It was a lovely Valentines Day dinner! The food was excellent, and the ambiance and service were very good.
Took my wife out for Valentine's day. Had a Great time. Very good food and atmosphere. Thanks.
Valentines Day. It was crowded and our waiter could have used a hand but he did the absolute best he could.
Great place for Italian food! Love this place.
The Pollo Piccata was excellent, and the service was outstanding.
The food was amazing as always as was the service. We like sitting at a large booth in the bar area. We have more than enough room for just the two of us and it is very comfortable.
The staff was very attentive and the food well worth the price.
As always, the food was superb...I highly recommend the risotto. We ate at the bar, and the bartender was attentive even though it was a busy night/time. Excellent food & outstanding service. My favorite place in town.
This was our first time going to this restaurant. We had attentive service and the food was excellent. Loved the decor as well.
Definately worth a visit. Food and service was top notch!
The food was excellent; the service was delightful. This was our first visit and we would definitely go back and recommend this to friends and family. Our server was gracious even though some of our guests were a bit impatient in asking for some additional bread, etc. We were well cared for during our visit. Thanks for the experience.
The food was pedestrian at best, lacking any interesting flavor. The cost per plate was not justified by the dishes that were prepared. We had to request bread which arrived as cold white bread.
My friend and I went during the last day of the Triangle Restaurant Week. We figured some Italian food in a rainy day was a good idea.
The food definitely hit the spot! And since it was quiet, it wasn’t loud at all. We even chatted a bit with a table next to us which was pleasant and warm hearted.
Our server was attentive and keep our glasses full. Thank you! (sorry, I forgot his name... I’m horrible with names but he was bartending as well!).
We loved the open, home feel of the dining hall.
Thank you Mia Francesca for a great first impression and first experience!
PS: I absolutely LOVE tiramisu and this one did not disappoint!
We had reservations and were seated immediately. Everyone was professionally friendly and attentive, exactly what I want in a nicer restaurant. The waiter was thorough and accommodating. Food was delivered at a nice pace, we were not rushed through our first course, nor our entrees. The bread was ordinary, and easy to pass on. The menu offered a nice variety, with something for pasta eaters, and gluten free alike. I would definitely recommend.
Great service, but the food was really average. We don’t eat a lot of Italian, but tried just in case.
We went for restaurant week lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. My only problem was there were several empty tables that had dirty dishes around the room. When the dining room is dirty it makes you wonder about the kitchen. The wait staff worked hard but feel like management couldn’t have had a person cleaning tables .
Great food, large portions, and excellent staff/service. But it was a loud dining area.
I visited for restaurant week and food was very good.
Excellent food and service. Will definitely return.
Tom our waiter was super, looked after all areneeds. Nice to have a polished employee.
Great Dining experience. Great food. Enjoyed the salmon & veal.
It's been several years since we've eaten here and it seems to have gone downhill. While the ambiance and service was good, the quality of the food was very uninspiring. The olive oil tasted cheap. The grouper was WAY over salted. And the piccata was pretty bland. I'm sad to say we won't be going back any time soon.
Veal medallions, chicken parmesan and beef filet with mashed potatoes was all magnificent, delightfully delicious.
Lousy service food came out at all different times
We went for NYE dinner before a concert. It was amazing! Our waiter was attentive and quick. I ordered the pasta with asparagus and my husband ordered rigatoni with vegetables. Both were delicious and I ate every bite of mine. The prices were reasonable and the food came quick. I would recommend to anyone.
