Mia Francesca Trattoria

Sadly, Mia Francesca is closed we weren't informed of this by Open table. Worse still, Open Table even sent a confirmation email the night before confirming our reservation. So, on Valentine's Saturday night, at 6:30 pm we found out we had nowhere to have dinner. Thanks Open Table for completely spoiling what had been a well planned out evening with my wife. I'll never use Open Table again. ALWAYS CALL THE RESTAURANT DIRECTLY.

People absolutely sleep on this place! Not a bad thing on the menu! So good!

Food was outstanding. In fact so good , went back two days later for brunch The server was very knowledgeable of menu and her recommendations Will definitely return again .

A surprise to find a lovely restaurant, excellent food and service at good value - on a holiday! If we have one complaint it is that food was served to two of us, the other two waited 5 or so minutes while the prime rib was getting cold. None of us complained! We look forward to returning, especially after restrictions are lifted and the full menu and ambience of Mia Francesca is restored.

We never got our servers name. He was also the bartender while we were there. He’s very good. Knowledgeable, helpful and paid he’d to our desires. It’s almost our favorite testsurant in Raleigh.

Okay, my star marks cannot give a final verdict on Mia Fran's....so I am glad I get to write. The food alone should make the review a 5Star +++ winner.
Delicious+++ All 5 in our party raved about their selection and our group appetizers. Alexis and Fredrick were spot on with service. ....okay, my only nitpick is that it does not *feel* like an old style Italian restaurant. Maybe that is not what they were shooting for, but that food and service was straight outta Little Italy. We still give it 2 thumbs up. You will love it.

Brunch menu was great. Donny was outstanding. Would highly recommend.

The food was really good I loved the scenery and the candles on the tables the only thing was our waiter wasn’t the best as soon as we got there the other waiters were getting out drinks and looking for our waiter and when he finally was around to take our order he was hardly around. It was nice and quiet where we had gone so late and at one point my fiancé wanted cheese for his spaghetti which we were waiting for a while after we had already asked the waiter and he was obviously occupied with other things which isn’t that big of a deal but at one point after we had waited a while he was at the table beside us cleaning and my fiancé had to call for him several times before he answered. I understand he may have not been paying attention but my fiancé was speaking loud and he was right next to us and we were almost the only people in there. Other than the waiter it was great

Excellent food and service! Great Holiday week outing

Bar and the bar tender where amazing. The only thing we had to eat was a pizza. I’m a huge wood fired pizza lover and this was simply not a good pizza. So the basis for the review is great place, wonderful service, food - limited time the pizza - very average.

Service was slow, I think it was the manager that ended up taking our drink order. They brought us a completely different entree than what we ordered, and then rushed the correct order so it came out a little burnt and undercooked. Overall the food was bland. They did offer us free dessert to make up for the incorrect entree which was appreciated, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the unimpressive food.

Our group had a wonderful dining experience at Mia Francesca. The service was excellent, and everyone enjoyed their dinner. Each person claimed their entree was better than the rest! The atmosphere is comfortable yet you still feel that you are dining at a first rate restaurant.

Our food was terrible! We have eaten here 2 other times in the last 5 months and had great pizza and salads. This time our salads were wilty, with slimy peppers and tasteless dressing. Our brick-oven pizzas were nothing like we've had in the past. The crusts were doughy and not crispy and there was tons of goupy cheese. The pepperonis were tiny and very thick. My son ordered chicken and pasta with Alfredo sauce. The sauce was tasteless and goupy. It was so gross. My husband ordered a ravioli dish and thought the ravioli's were good the red sauce they were in was tasteless and way too thick. And everything is so expensive - it's just not worth it. I have no idea if management changed and the chef left - but we won't be going back.

The food was great and the service was amazing! The atmosphere was amazing too!

Thanksgiving

I selected Mia Francesca for Thanksgiving because I’ve the food has always been stellar. However the Thanksgiving dinner seemed like a super-sized value meal. The taste was very average. The ham seemed as through it came from a store bought ham and I was given a chunk of slices stuck together that at the butt of the ham and wasn’t even split apart into slices. Although the Turkey was tender, it too was nothing special. It was a bulk meal at an expensive price.
The Red Sangria dink was excellent, the service was great and the noise level was acceptable. I was disappointed in general however since I brought my family for what I thought would be a superior eating experience.

The waiter we had was terrific. He made us this terrific cappuccino.

James took care of us and we had a fantastic experience. My mother runs a retail business and my brothers and I work in restaurants that are open on Thanksgiving so this was as close to a Thanksgiving that we would have this year and we loved it. Thanks James and everyone else at Mia’s!

Super good place for brunch--two dollar mimosas and they have their own delicious version of shrimp and grits. Definitely worth visiting this place.

Came to Mia Francesca for my birthday brunch with my friends and it was great!

Service was great. Food was delicious. Highly recommend the Calamari, Pasta Bolognese, and Linguine with baby clams and shrimp. Everything was enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

Experience was great! Everyone loved the food. Had fun celebrating daughters birthday on patio with only one other family.

Had happy hour on the patio. Good table spacing, attentive service. Only small criticism is it would be nice to have a couple of more choices on the happy hour menu.

Special afternoon occasion with daughters. Dined on outdoor patio. Nice music and server lit heater. Server was awesome and attentive. Dishes were all good. There was not a huge variety of items to order, but under current conditions, many restaurants are limiting menu items. There were still plenty of general Italian options to select from. Have dined before and will do so again.

I had dinner with my daughter to celebrate her birthday. The food was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and the service was excellent We will definitely come back.

We went for Happy Hour. Food and wine were very good. Tables outside were spaced comfortably. Very attentive service.
