Mia Bella Trattoria - Green Street
Need to book at 2:30 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Bad set. Took 15 mins to get Acknowledge. Food was cold. It was heated up and not even replated. Then was too hot to eat. Bathroom was nasty. Toilet overflowing in both bathrooms. Was offered to come back. I do not want to come back. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
We mentioned it was our 35th anniversary and the waiter brought us champagne! The service was amazing and the food, atmosphere and drinks we just as wonderful. We will be back. Thank you for making our night more special.
Excellent food! Excellent service! A little crowded and a little noisy, but food quality and service far outweighs the small seating area and too loud music.
Found this restaurant on Yelp, and since it was only a short distance from our hotel, decided to try it. We were not disappointed. Although the place was crowded, the service and food were great. Antonio, our waiter, made sure we were well taken care of. The food was very good and we will definitely eat there again.
Great food at reasonable prices. Wait staff were all delightful, the bread was fabulous and everyone loved their meal.
Food was superb with several unique recipes. Bread is to die for. Excellent list of wines priced under $50. Our sever was magnificent and made our party of six feel like we were at a family dinner and he was our host. Chef came by to assure we were satisfied. Definitely recommend.
Great waitstaff and manager came to table as well. Delicious homemade bread. I’d return and try other dishes.
Delicious meal! Highly recommend!
Service was great and attentive. Food was good, steak was medium instead of medium rare. Would go again
The air conditioning was out! It was extremely warm and we were all sweaty by the time dinner was finished. We had to ask for a discount. Probably will not go back
The a/c was not working so they moved us to the shared space next door but we were able to order from the Mia Bella menu. But the food was delicious and the server was very attentive.
No air conditioning, but they stayed open. Seemed to get hotter as heat from kitchen made things worse. Terribly understaffed. Kitchen was behind and food took forever. Staff was very pleasant but that didn’t make up for what otherwise was a miserable experience.
A/C did not work, so got a table outside. But then table taken away from us and given to another customer to enlarge his seating area. We left.
The air was not working, it was very uncomfortable.
Normally, this is my go-to restaurant for pre-concert dinners, but our experience this time was not that great. The food, beverages, and service were all very good, but the air conditioner was broken, so they seated us in the adjacent restaurant, which was equally sweltering. It was extremely uncomfortable, and actually quite embarrassing since we had invited guests from out of town. When we left the establishment, it was literally cooler outside, if you can imagine that in Houston in early September. Since I had a reservation (with my associated telephone number), a phone call from the restaurant would have been nice so that I could have made alternate arrangements.
We had a great meal on Tuesday evening before a concert. The food and service were outstanding. We tried two new pasta additions to the menu and they were awesome. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The only negative was the air conditioning seemed to be out, making it quite warm in the restaurant.
The service was attentive and helpful -- despite it being her first day she made a real effort to answer questions and be attentive. she will do well. The food quality was quite disappointing however. Overcooked, dry seafood in the seafood pasta and generally ho-hum everything else. Only sweet dressing for the salad (yuck) and no other options - not even oil and vinegar? The food used to be great here - don't know what happened. We don't be going back.
Unfortunately, Mia Bella's air conditioning was out when we went there for lunch last week, so they escorted us through their area to Anadlucia, their neighboring restaurant, so we didn't have to walk outside. They also had fans blowing, which helped. It was very nice, food was great, as was the service. We will be back!!
Air conditioner was out, waited 30 minutes longer for a table outside so it would be cooler and more comfortable to eat. Also the restaurant was out of creamer brûlée which was the one dessert we wanted to celebrate my birthday.
I was sad to see how far Mia Bella has gone downhill. I have been a few times before, a while back. I met some friends there this time. I found out the A/C had been broken for weeks so it was hot and humid inside. Our waitress seemed inexperienced or poorly trained. She brought the food out in the wrong order (dinner first, salad and appetizers second). We informed her to let the chef know that (on a specific plate) not to put mushrooms as that person was allergic. she did not write anything down, at least in front of us. When we got our food, everything was over cooked and yes my friend had mushrooms on her plate, when we mentioned it, the waitress said she didn't understand she was allergic. She did not offer to fix it. All I can say is if this is a reflection of how it is being run now, I doubt I will return.
Food and Service were great! Pricey for lunch but will go again.
Dirty. Old. Cluttered. Mediocre. Won’t go again.
This restaurant is a dumpster fire. Their AC has been broken for weeks and they can't get it fixed. They blame it on the landlord, lol. Stay far away for this place.
Excellent service and wonderful staff
Food is always great and it’s always warm in there, but the AC was broken and it was 90 degrees. So was not happy
The AC was broken inside Mia Bella so they had us sit next door (the restaurants were connected). But they managed to keep track of everyone and knew who was there from what restaurant. Food was good-server could have been more attentive but I attributed that to the confusion and chaos with the AC/relocation issue. Overall pleased with my visit-would visit again.
Excellent service! Our waiter was outstanding. Food was excellent!
Excellent food and great staff. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience for party of 7! Antonio was great!
Retirement lunch. Somewhat warm. Maybe AC problems
The food was excellent. The only issue my wife and I had was this was Our was second time eating at this restaurant and they did not have air conditioning. We sat in the adjacent restaurant.
Our group was looking for a place to have a nice Italian dinner, and we are so happy we chose Mia Bella! Not only was there a plethora of options, there were also plenty of vegetarian options for a member of our group. This included build your own pasta, and the pasta is hand made!!! So delicious, and I wish I was in Houston longer so I could go again :-)
Enjoyed a nice meal out with our family, the service and food quality were great!
It’s a little pricey, but it’s downtown so what else do you expect. Great service, food, and atmosphere though. Nice classy place.
The air conditioning wasn’t working and they sat us under a fan, which helped, but overall were incredibly unapologetic about it. Food was ok but nothing special. The friend I was with had the crab cake and had to send it back saying it smelled fishy. I had the veggie pizza which was good.
Would not return.
Air conditioning was not working so the dining room was very hot. They did bring a fan which helped. Food and service were good.
The food was delicious however it was completely over shadowed by the heat in the dining room as the AC was broken and the Service was really slow though there was plenty of staff and the restaurant was only 50% occupied. I would have expected a discount applied to our check for the heat but no - bad form.
Ac not working, as per previous posts. Should give discounted meals as really unacceptable after this length of time not working!
The restaurant was uncomfortably hot. Also, although the food was very good as always, it took about 40 minutes to arrive. Too long for a week day lunch.
We went on Sunday morning for Father’s Day, so we had brunch. Service was quick and friendly. The warm bread served with olive oil dip is amazing and seriously could have been my full meal. I had the Mia Bella Italian Breakfast and it was amazing. My husband had the breakfast pizza, which is big enough for 2. My daughter had the pancakes and loved them. The music was soft and the ambiance is that if a cafe in Spain. People are so nice and food is delicious.
