Delicious food and excellent customer service. My favorite Pasadena restaurant
Excellent authentic cuisine plus great service at Mi Piace made this special occasion another memorable evening
Every time I dine there it is excellent. Consistently high quality food and excellent service
We came to Mi Piace to celebrate my graduation from USC and were not disappointed by the food or ambiance. Mi Piace is lively, has great food, and they treat you well.
The only reason I did not give 5-stars for service was because we waited more than 30 minutes for the reservation that I had made more than one month in advance. However, they were very apologetic and quick to make things right by treating us to some appetizers and wine.
Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Too long of a wait 30 minutes beyond our reservation time.
Delicious food and excellent customer service
Food was excellent. But service was inattentive.
We recetnly came here for a weekday lunch. Around noon, it was slow, but did get busier as it got closer to 1pm. Our server was pleasant, but did not do anythng beyond taking our orders and handing us a check. In fact, she only came by twice. Once to take our order, and once after we're done to ask if we'd like to spend more money and order coffee and dessert. While we ate our meal, she did not come near our table w/ black pepper or Parmesan cheese, though it seems every other table around us got more attention from her. After the lack of service, we decided to go elsewhere for coffee and dessert.
The entrees took longer than a couple of other tables that sat down after us. The flavor, quantity and presentation was average. One dish was better than the others, which were disappointments.
Perhaps it's the inconsistent service, food flavor and the long wait times during dinner, even though we always make reservations which makes me not suggest Mi Piace as a place for our future group get-togethers.
This was another wonderful dining experience at this restaurant for our special occasion in Pasadena. Both food and service were top notch once again.
Good place to go in pasadena
Excellent service with great food , the lamb chop, beef short rib steak , salmon rigatoni and chocolate cake dessert all very pleasing and satisfying!.
We look forward to returning!
Thank you to all the staff .
After years of frequenting that place, last time was very disappointing!
One meal looked like an oversized, grease dripping Schnitzel. The presentation was even worse. Totally disgusting. The nerve of that chef to even put THAT on a plate. Unreal!!!
The waitress kept interrupting our conversations, even after making her aware of it.
The table was not cleared. They even attempted to place the dessert somewhere until I basically shouted STOP, clear the table first.
The whole evening at Mi Piace was upsetting. Will NOT go back.
Mi Piace is a wonderful restaurant, however service was not acceptable on this occasion. We waited at least 1 hour to be served after placing our food order.
Waited almost an hour to be served. Frittata was cold by the time it arrived.
Tables are small and close together in this high energy eatery. Food is good and reasonably priced, but cocktails are expensive.
Our server, Anna, was very accommodating and pleasant. Always said yes to everything
we asked for. Food was fabulous. Wine exceptionable. Have been there once before.
Food was phenomenal! The best Fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had!
It was the first time I had dined there. Table ready. Waiter was very helpful on explaining specials. Entries were a big surprise with the great side of the item. Lobster bisque was to die for. Main course were well prepared and serviced. Make sure you order the bread....delious. Will be back soon.
Mi Piace never disappoints! My girlfriend had the best seafood fettuccine special, and I had the best homemade pasta with a great Olive oil garlic sauce.
Ambiance is wonderful but drinks and food were a bit pricey.
Lovely dining experience. Good environment. Great service. Delicious wine, entrees, and dessert.
Food was okay but the service was non-existent...The best restaurants are able to provide a delicious meal with the experience of a well trained wait staff. That is how you create a wonderful dining experience. The waitress, the server and the bus boy were not coordinated at all. no one seemed to be on their game. Really disappointed because even though the music was deafening the ambience of the restaurant was nice and could be a great dining experience. Too bad could be a wonderful place to eat in Pasadena because it also is near all the great shopping.
Dishes we ordered were excellent. Portions were just right. Service was outstanding. Will definitely return to enjoy another wonderful dining experience.
When I visit Pasadena, Mi Piace is a go to spot for a delicious Italian meal. I arrived early to enjoy the lively bar to enjoy a house speciality. I had one of the ravioli dishes Ravioli Di Costine which was tender and very tasty. Our waitress helped select a companion red which went well. Topped off with a special desert. Excellent service during a busy night.
Nothing bad about this place, just nothing amazing either, definitely a place to be seen.
Exceeded expectations !
It was just okay.
Always enjoy the food and the service. The chicken lasagna is the best.
We went for our anniversary and while the food was good, the ambiance was not what we wanted. Upon walking in there were a bunch of hostesses but took a while to help us. The restaurant was much too loud, I couldn’t hear my partner sitting across from me.
At 10 PM, the owner exhibits contempt for diners trying to have a conversation and cranks up the music to deafening levels and turns the adjacent bar into a nightclub. Everyone else might as well get the check and leave. If he did that a 11pm, maybe. But the dining room was still full. This capped a very unsatisfactory dinner. We had a reservation;and were still seated a half hour late. Service was uneven at best, food was forgettable. Plenty of good choices in Pasadena. Go somewhere else.
1) Stew arrived with small insects, like fleas(?), flying around, we chased them away.
I do not know for sure because of it, but my stomach was not good for a day or more.
2) Waiter was not kind, for example, as I ask what mi pierce means, he coldly reply "I like it" and walked away; well, I did not like it.
3) Linguine with clams was a little dry, bread was a little salty.
4)Table with 2 people was too small, and later packed with people both sides.
A very relaxed comfortable dining experience with excellent Italian Cuisine as well as efficient service. Since discovering this spot, this restaurant has become a favorite to take family, friends and business clients It never disappoints.
My husband and I loved our meal and service. My husband tried some sort of smoked whiskey cocktail which was really unique and amazing. We both had housemade pastas and shared an arugula salad to start. The only thing I would change is the lighting throughout the restaurant... it’s a little too bright and doesn’t seem to match with the food and service. It would be a better ambiance if the lights were dimmed a bit. Otherwise, we’ll definitely be back!
Loud music led to noisy conversations and made it hard to converse across the table. Service was spotty - not enough waitstaff?
Gnocchi dish was passable, sauce could have been better. Shrimp scampi was excellent.
We visit Mi Piace often for the patio and always enjoy it!
Food was good but service was poor. Waitress wasn't attentive.
We’ve dined her often. Their Greek salad keeps getting smaller and smaller, half of which is red onion. It was more a side salad than an entree. Glad I paid for the bread basket ha ha.
Always consistently good. Bravo Gil, mon ami français
My husband liked his choices--oysters and a seafood pasta daily special. My leg of lamb daily special was disappointing. The slices looked like they were cut on a deli slicer and resembled shoe leather on the plate. The accompanying green beans and white & brown bean ragout were tasty.
I have been coming to Mi Piace with family and friends for almost 20 years now. I hadn’t gotten a chance to dine in for almost 5 years due to being away at college and then law school...but I always remember loving this restaurant’s food, ambiance, location and even the the warm and eccentric owner. I remember him because since I was younger, I’d always notice this man with distinct salt and pepper hair who was there EVERY time I’d dine in. Every time, on the floor helping servers, in and out of the kitchen and visiting tables making sure all patrons were receiving top notch service. It’s unfortunate to read some reviews that reflect a poorer experience. When I read it i think to myself, “Must’ve just been an off day”. Restaurants have those, even though I personally be r experienced anything less than exquisite. Dining here for 20 years, on average at about 5 times annually....its always been so wonderful. During my recent visit on Easter, I looked to order my favorite lemon butter chicken piccata with angel hair pasta. Apparently this had changed on the menu and included mashed potatoes instead of the angel hair. I mentioned that to the server, and he assured me it would be made just how I remembered. My food was absolutely delicious. I came with my my mom and my fiancées who is vegan and tried Mi Piace for the first time. I was afraid he wouldn’t be completely satisfied there with his dietary restrictions, but he loved everything. He ordered the bruschetta, and a penne arrabbiata with sautéed mushrooms. He was in heaven. I was SO happy.
