I tried this place over the Italian spot down Colorado and instantly regretted it.. We were greeted at the door by a host, she was kind, however a younger kid in glasses could not wait until she sat us to consistently ask the host if she wanted to order food from the kitchen that night. I mean, he could not wait an extra minute.. I ordered two glasses of wine and oysters which were great and then we ordered a pizza which was really good however, the D'iavolo pasta was far below subpar. The noodles tasted like absolute water and to be honest, if the server didn't come back around to offer chili flakes and cheese, I would've sent the pasta back. There were two very overcooked shrimps on the pasta and plenty of calamari. I am also unsure why the general manager allows paper on the tables which are placed over the table linens.. I mean wax paper, just like boiling crab. It seems the place has no manager presence and it really needs it if they're trying to be an upscale-ish place. I wouldn't come back to be honest.

I usually love Mi Piace, I’ve eaten there many times. The beef bourguignon was just not quite right. The sauce of wine had a distinct, sharp taste, not the mellow richness I expected. Maybe just that night or just that dish. But not up to their usual standard.

We enjoyed our experience at Mi Piace! Wonderful food, beautiful presentation, gracious service in a comfortable setting. We had some last minute changes and the staff was very accommodating and understanding. We had a great meal surrounded by family and friends and made a wonderful memory. Thank you to the entire team at Mi Piace! We highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Italian food and spectacular service.

The last time I went here is perfect, the food is so delicious, and the drink shows a delightful process. But this time, maybe insufficient of servers, the respond timing is a bit slack, still the overall food quality, taste is good, the pasta with clam os rich yet not too salty,quite okay afterall.

They pack you in that place like sardines!!!! We had a reservation and was not long to be seated. But they just overpack this place way too much!!! If felts so uncomfortable!! We were so close with the tables next to us. The food was just ok. The server was friendly but took a while to get to us with things.

We were so happy with every aspect of our visit. Cocktail great. We loved the background music which was a little hard to hear due to the high noise level in the room, I don’t think energetic is the correct description. Best of all the rainbow trout and piccata chicken. Each tasted as good as they looked.

Food was okay. Seemed like dishes had a kick to it that I wasn't expecting, including the caesar salad, the minestrone soup and lobster pasta dish. I would have enjoyed those dishes with the natural flavorings, without the extra spice. Service was lacking. It took a while for her to come over and greet us. Our waitress seemed to forget several things and we had to ask about some things a 2nd time. She forgot my drink, the discount on the dessert and pasta spoon. I never received the spoon and used my soup spoon instead. She never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and we had to ask her. She gave us dessert menus but only brought 3 for our party of 5. I guess we were supposed to share but not sure why. I would have expected better service for this type of restaurant. I've been here recently and didn't have this type of experience.

Went here with a couple of girlfriends and had a lovely evening out! We went on a Thursday and it wasn't too crowded or anything, and we got top notch service! Our server was very attentive and checked in all the time with apps, entrees, drinks, water refills. The food came out quickly and was very tasty! We tried several of my friends' pasta and I liked the spicy rigatoni one! I ordered the pizza to share and it was huge! The owner came out and thanked us for our visit, and I thought that was a kind gesture and showed he really cared about his customers. Would come here again!

Four of us (it was my friend’s wife’s birthday) and we were going to visit Descanso Gardens after brunch. My friend’s had never dined at Mi Piace before and our experience was terrific. We were one of the first groups waiting to be taken to a table since the restaurant has just opened. People were sat throughout the dining area to promote some privacy and this was nice - Mi Piace has high ceilings and can get noisy. The food was very good/excellent and the waiter was attentive, but not hovering nor absent. Nice touch: the owner came by and asked about how we were enjoying our meal. Great food, ambiance, and service. Can’t miss if you’ve never dined in Pasadena.

I was seeking an upscale restaurant to entertain my guest. With prices points from $60- $195.00, I expected and was looking forward to a much better experience. Unfortunately, my experience was not a good one. I did not like the food. Since the taste of food is subjective, I could have overlooked that for service and ambiance. We were seated at a table almost inside the waiter service area and the poor servers inadvertently bumped into us every time they used it. The staff could not find menus. So, we sat at the table with no water and no menu for some time. The waitress finally found ONE menu for our table and one menu for the table next to us (who were practically seated in our laps). The menu is 4-5 pages so we had to pass it back and forth for appetizers, then the entree. This is unacceptable and was ridiculous when your prices points are at this level and the new ways a menu can be presented. Not an experience you want, particularly, when entertaining someone. If I am not happy, I rarely will say anything, as any restaurant could have a bad day. I count heavily on Open Table reviews. The restaurant has great reviews, so maybe I just dined on a bad day. However, I won't go back to find out!

Nice atmosphere and location. Good selection of food offered. The food was not salty like some other Italian restaurants, which was refreshing. Service was very good. We made the mistake of ordering the lobster soup which did not taste good at all, and no lobsters in it either. Other than that, the food felt healthy and tasty.
