Our server was so arrogant. On our receipt, the name written is Sandra. That should be our server's name, I guess. We were not even halfway finished with our food and she kept on hovering over our table like we were taking too long eating our food. As soon as one of us finished her food, this server took out her plate in no time. We ordered creme brulee for dessert. One lady staff brought a brulee cheesecake instead. As it was the wrong order, the lady said we can have it and she'll bring us the right one. Well, our server, Sandra, was watching. She immediately took the brulee cheesecake and said it's the wrong order. We also ordered coffee. When we asked for a refill, we saw her rolling her eyes. Now comes the bill. I put a tip that is more than she deserved. Well, well. She came to our table and shamelessly asked if it was the right tip, giving us the attitude that it was not enough. Wow, the gall!!! After we left the restaurant, I realized my mistake. I wished I asked for a new printout of my bill and changed the tip to $0.00. This server is horrible. I hope not a lot of people get served by this server. If I were her boss, I'd assign her somewhere she doesn't have to interact with customers. She's bad image for the restaurant. The other employees like the receptionist were nice though. As for the food, our pasta entrees are dry. I don't think we will come back to this place any time soon.

U.K. credit card got locked out as they don’t require a pin in payment. Owner promised a comp dessert which didn’t turn up. I am too polite to ask for it. Otherwise superb. This is the only place I always book before a Pasadena visit. 100% return visit in the future.

I tried this place over the Italian spot down Colorado and instantly regretted it.. We were greeted at the door by a host, she was kind, however a younger kid in glasses could not wait until she sat us to consistently ask the host if she wanted to order food from the kitchen that night. I mean, he could not wait an extra minute.. I ordered two glasses of wine and oysters which were great and then we ordered a pizza which was really good however, the D'iavolo pasta was far below subpar. The noodles tasted like absolute water and to be honest, if the server didn't come back around to offer chili flakes and cheese, I would've sent the pasta back. There were two very overcooked shrimps on the pasta and plenty of calamari. I am also unsure why the general manager allows paper on the tables which are placed over the table linens.. I mean wax paper, just like boiling crab. It seems the place has no manager presence and it really needs it if they're trying to be an upscale-ish place. I wouldn't come back to be honest.

I usually love Mi Piace, I’ve eaten there many times. The beef bourguignon was just not quite right. The sauce of wine had a distinct, sharp taste, not the mellow richness I expected. Maybe just that night or just that dish. But not up to their usual standard.

We enjoyed our experience at Mi Piace! Wonderful food, beautiful presentation, gracious service in a comfortable setting. We had some last minute changes and the staff was very accommodating and understanding. We had a great meal surrounded by family and friends and made a wonderful memory. The last time I went here is perfect, the food is so delicious, and the drink shows a delightful process. But this time, maybe insufficient of servers, the respond timing is a bit slack, still the overall food quality, taste is good, the pasta with clam os rich yet not too salty,quite okay afterall.

They pack you in that place like sardines!!!! We had a reservation and was not long to be seated. But they just overpack this place way too much!!! If felts so uncomfortable!! We were so happy with every aspect of our visit. Cocktail great. We loved the background music which was a little hard to hear due to the high noise level in the room, I don’t think energetic is the correct description. Best of all the rainbow trout and piccata chicken. Each tasted as good as they looked.

Food was okay. Seemed like dishes had a kick to it that I wasn't expecting, including the caesar salad, the minestrone soup and lobster pasta dish. I would have enjoyed those dishes with the natural flavorings, without the extra spice. Service was lacking. It took a while for her to come over and greet us. Our waitress seemed to forget several things and we had to ask about some things a 2nd time. She forgot my drink, the discount on the dessert and pasta spoon. I never received the spoon and used my soup spoon instead. She never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and we had to ask her. She gave us dessert menus but only brought 3 for our party of 5. I guess we were supposed to share but not sure why. I would have expected better service for this type of restaurant. I've been here recently and didn't have this type of experience.

Went here with a couple of girlfriends and had a lovely evening out! We went on a Thursday and it wasn't too crowded or anything, and we got top notch service! Our server was very attentive and checked in all the time with apps, entrees, drinks, water refills. The food came out quickly and was very tasty! We tried several of my friends' pasta and I liked the spicy rigatoni one! I ordered the pizza to share and it was huge! The owner came out and thanked us for our visit, and I thought that was a kind gesture and showed he really cared about his customers. Would come here again!
