Excellent service, good food. Might consider coming back again.
Great food and great ambiance. Friendly host and wait staff. We would definitely go again.
Large group of 9, fabulous tasting food, attentive service. The butternut ravioli was superb. The salmon was grilled to perfection.
Nice evening dining with friends
The visit was plagued with many miscues. Examples - 1) Had wrong prices on their menus for the wine of the month. It was the 5th of the month and this was just coming to light?? After my ordering they offered a substitute at higher price.
2) Received only one copy of credit card receipt.
Food itself was pretty good but tables are jammed so tightly that going to restrooms is embarking on a trek through a maze. Probably the tightest I've ever seen. Truly uncomfortable. If they ever have a fire the consequences could be tragic.
It was wonderful the owner was asking how was our dining experience and we said it was wonderful as it has been for the approx 25 to 30 years my sons were young children under 10 and now they are 37 & 34
The owner sent a wonderful dessert complimentary as well as our waiter who was wonderful also brought us a complimentary dessert from him
We had a wonderful evening
Time & time again Mi Piace’s is the reason we want to come to Old town Pasadena. We have been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years & love it here! Not only is the ambiance just relaxing, the food, the service continues to surpass other restaurants. Some of our favorites Pollo Sesame, Ravioli with squash & brown butter, the focaccia bread, Creme brûlée & Chocolate soup dessert.
They treated us like royalty for our best friends bachelorette party!!
We have eaten here’s for year’s but this last time the food was average at best and the prices have really gone up. It was the first time the restaurant wasn’t full so I think they are resting on their laurels. There are a lot of restaurants in Pasadena and they may need to rethink what they are doing.
Food and service are exceptional! Our server, Johnny, is amazing!
In a nutshell: OK food but awful service. Our waiter checked in on us about 5 times in the first 5 minutes after we were seated, and then disappeared for the rest of the night. The restaurant was pretty loud, which normally I wouldn't mind but it made it near impossible for one of our guests with hearing issues to participate in the conversation. We asked for several things that never made it to the table (e.g., a cup of tea) or that arrived after the meal was almost over (e.g., a glass of wine). I specifically asked our waiter to bring the check to me, but his colleague showed up at the table and presented the check to everyone. Pasadena has no shortage of wonderful restaurants --- go somewhere else.
Calamari tasted like it had been microwaved from the freezer. Seafood pasta was fishy and sandy. Not the best Italian option in old town.
Food was so so. I made a reservation to celebrate birthdays and requested a quieter or nicer table. I was told there is no other tables and they're all the same. Subsequently two other liked size table were available. Oh well. On top of it, service was so so. After we placed the order, another staff from the restaurant called and asked if we planned to keep the reservation. The overall experience was not pleasant nor enjoyable. There're many other better restaurants out there so I would not recommend.
Everything was perfect for our business lunch meeting. Thank you!!!
We went for my birthday, and the staff was so accommodating and gracious. Food was wonderful and cocktails were out of this world.
My favorite Italian place in Pasadena!
Waiter had taken our order, then it seemed other tables who were seated after us were being served their orders. Our order subsequently was served by the food server but was wild salmon, mine was supposed to be wild mushroom ravioli, my wife's order was correct. So the server took back both and we waited more. Finally, my order arrived correctly, wild mushroom ravioli and my wife's was also brought. The waiter apologized for the confusion, and offered complimentary dessert.
Mi Piace is large enough to accommodate a many of people. I have not had to wait for a table mainly because I use Open Table, but I have not witnessed people waiting for a table for that matter either. The food is consistent, fresh and well prepared. They make a great dry Cappuccino. Try the Lemon Ricotta pancakes!
Great place, had a nice time, as usual👍
Always a great place even on a busy Friday night. The pizzas are great and the pasta is excellent. The cocktails are creative and great. We also love Waffles Bambino on Saturday morning.
Hostesses untrained. Wait staff overwhelmed. Not seated for 30+ minutes after reservations. Paso bucolic undercooked.
One of our favorite places to grab a meal, Mi Piace never disappoints, consistently good service, thank you Nico and good food too.
When in Pasadena, I always try to eat at Mi Piace. The ambiance is unbeatable as you can people watch the strollers/amblers on Colorado while enjoying really god Italian food. The pasta Ariabatica did not disappoint.
We came in on Saturday night with reservations, a busy night understandably at the restaurant. We were offered a table in the back or to wait for 15-20 mins and we decided on the back. Unfortunately there was a big party at the back so the waiter took a little time to get to us. But to his credit, once he got there, he was able to get us our drinks and orders without error. The Shrimp Scampi is my favorite and was delicious as well as the Spinach pasta with prawns and jumbo shrimp. The whole Branzini was perfect. The only thing about being in the back is that you are close to the kitchen which means the spot is a little warm from the oven and stove and also a little busy with waiters coming in and out. Overall the dinner was delicious and we will return...maybe not choose that back spot again.
Delicious food and excellent customer service
Great had fun, good food wine and ambiance
Not sure what everyone is raving about this place. Mediocre food, service and ambiance. A lot of better choices out there.
Fabulous food attentive service with charming waiter
This was the second time I have been there.
I am waiting to go there again.
The staff is very friendly.
Mi Piace is my go to Italian restaurant in Old Town Pasadena. My server, Sandra, was professional, fun and a very attentive server. The food is consistently good. We tried the banana pyramid for dessert. Yes, please!
Nice place, good food, service needs improvement. Our waiter tried but......
my "go to" restaurant for all my business lunches!
The food was delicious. The service was great. We had reservations and our table was ready. The server was helpful with recommendations. We had a very good time.
We went to go see The Voice of YES, the incomparable JON Anderson. The food, service and overall ambiance at Mi Piace was fabulous!
Food overpriced and not to taste.
Service rude and unfriendly.
Not what it used to be yrs ago.
DO NOT GO
Great food and the best minestrone soup in the world.
Food was very, very good!!!! Service was ok. Maybe because of the Rolling Stone Concert? The place was so busy and maybe they were short of staff. But over all it was a great experience. Definitely coming back❤️
Great food and our waitress was excellent. However our reservation was for 5:30 and we didn’t get seated until 6:15 making us late for our Rolling Stones concert time.
We were sat over an hour late after our reservation time. The hostess couldn't have been more rude or less accommodating. She was unapologetic and made the experience miserable. Our food was cold when we received and they continued to get our drink orders incorrect.
