Mi Luna has a rich history and tradition in Houston, Texas where it opened up in 1998 in Rice Village. It was created to satisfy the craving for "tapas" which are small savory Spanish dishes. The kitchen uses only fresh, local ingredients in its dishes to ensure the best flavors possible. In addition to the kitchen, Mi Luna has a full bar and an extensive wine list, including bottles and by the glass selections.
Start your meal at Mi Luna with a salad, such as the ensalada de mariscos, ensalada con sirloin de res a la parilla or frijoles negros y blancos. Larger items on the menu include marinated fresh Atlantic salmon, paella or make some memories with family and friends while enjoying a tapa platter and our handcrafted margaritas.
Chef Ivan has prepared an exquisite brunch to celebrate mom! A few features include our mouth watering paella, savory empandadas and croquettas, indulge in our pollo relleno medallions and homemade bread pudding! May 13 from 11 am to 2 pm: $40 per person. Reservations required.

We arrived early for our reservation and were seated immediately. The staff was beyond outstanding. The food, we shared The Platter, was such a great mix of everything. My husband and I are still talking about our great overall experience
Food was good but I did not appreciate the 10 for parking. One would think that you can park your vehicle without paying for parking.
You know the food is not fresh when cooked items come out of the kitchen 3 minutes after ordering. The food was very meh, I presume they are microwaving Sysco premade meals because some of the dishes were very dry inside (the pot pie.) The oxtail was tender but there was 2 forkfulls in a bowl of bones so I figure there is a pot in the back where the bottom is covered in the meat that fell off or this was someone else's leftovers. The live music was good, I will give the place that, but id you go for the music, eat ahead of time.
Good food and good service. We had a group of five including one veggie and seafood only eater. She had plenty of choices. The wine was very good and the drinks were too. All in all a good visit and we will likely return.
A trully deception. We leave the site and change for El Meson immediatelly. Mi Luna is not a spanish style restaurant.. is a canteen...
They did a great job for my birthday reservation, the manager and my waiter Eric fulfilled my requests and made us very pleasant. That's why I always come back there! Thanks guys
Smoked salmon appetizer was excellent. Chicken and potato plates were also tasty. The potato dish brought some appreciated hot spice. Small plate formats are rather generous. The wine list is limited but covers the basics fairly well. One might hope for an expanded Spanish selection. Location is excellent. Free 2 hour parking a short walk away is a plus. Noise level is high. The service was mediocre. The server appeared much busier than the restaurant. Bringing all the dishes at once will certainly leave some cold before we finish. Spilling wine on the table can usually be avoided.
Food and service were very good / excellent. The 1 problem here is that the live band was so loud you couldn't hear people at your own table. So don't go here if you want to have much of a conversation.
It was my first time dining at Mi Luna and I was impressed. Lots of energy and good drinks. Loved the group that was playing and loved how all the people were absolutely welcoming and organized. Took a bit long on the food but the service was great and it was definitely worth the wait.
Great place to eat.. Superior food at reasonable prices.
We enjoyed the tapas menu and the paella was good.
Came for an early dinner for a family birthday and was well attended by several staff. Fantastic food and great drinks; happy to have plenty of paella for leftovers. Super friendly and attentive staff who even made a non-alcoholic fruit juice “sangria” for the teens. Flexible too - since we had a large group coming in and leaving and different times. Not our first time, and won’t be the last! :-)
Everything was awesome. The staff was so nice and friendly. The food was soo good. I had a wonderful experience.
Our waiter Shawn was really great. Very personable and gave great advice on menu choices.
We had a delightful dinner ... the food is excellent and our waiter (Munir) was very helpful and fun!!
We love Mi Luna. Always great food and service. Live Band on Saturday night was great. A little noisy, but overall a great visit as always.
Didn't realy need it a reservation.
Food is bit expensive, but well worth it...
The ceviche was SO yummy and drinks were good. Service was seriously lacking. We were sat at a table and it took a waiter about ten mins to get to us. Then later on in the night we moved to the bar and weren’t even acknowledged. When I finally managed to flag someone down he told me he couldn’t help me because he was not a bartender. Probably won’t be back unfortunately.
Easy to book. Good food. Good wine. Service was great
Surprisingly interesting and unusual Tapas.
Tapas were well priced with generous and flavorable herbs and spices.
Food and service wonderful.
1st time and will return
Great place to eat, alot of fun and good food. Also a good place to take your wife and kids
Delicious tapas; friendly service
Grilled octopus is delicious
Our reservation was not needed. Not crowded at 5:30pm on Friday night. Happy hour prices on drinks and tapas were good until 6:00. Overeall a good dining experience.
I really enjoyed my dinner with friends but I was a bit embarrassed because I had a groupon that was not honored. The server told me it was not valid on weekends but I haven't found anything on groupon that states that. I guess if anyone else is going with a groupon keep that in mind.
Our first time at a Spanish restaurant, the food was good, the service good and the wine was excellent.
This place is phenomenal!! I'm recommending to all of my friends. Its my birthday month and i will be returning. The food, service and live music was great. The food reminded me of my dad's cooking, who's from Colombia. I enjoyed the oxtails and potatoes. They were cooked to perfection.
Our waiter was super nice and friendly
We loved the ambiance, the music, service and the variety of the menu. Will definitely come back
Kitchen closes at 9!
Extremely noisy would not recommend Food was ok No easy parking as Rice Village now charges for metered parking even in public lots
Thursday night band was good, very energetic atmosphere. Dancing started around 9pm.
A bit noisy to have a conversation.
Good food. We took our time ordering several tapas dishes and weren't rushed off.
Highly recommend this place.
I have heard that there is live music playing on special days. I will probably return for that but during this visit I would have liked to at least have background Spanish music. It would have made for a better experience. I came here to reminisce a personal experience living in Spain. Overall, pleasant experience. I want to try more things on the menu and hear live music, especially Spanish.
Great time! Not many tapa places in my Houston. Living in Spain was the best part of my life and I’m glad I have somewhere to go that is a smalll glimpse of it.
We love going here. The food is always great and the music is fabulous.
Awesome time and ambient ,went with my Date, my wife.We brought in my wifes birthday as well.It was great food, it was delicious also!
Love Mi Luna! It was wonderful as always. Was there to celebrate a birthday and everything was delicious and perfect.
The music during dinner was too loud to talk easily. Maybe if it started at that sound level for dancing after dinner at 9.
Great place to get latin and spanish food. Drinks were awesome, Music was up beat and lively
This place really fell in quality over the years. My first time there in a long time. Will not dine there again.
I met a few buddies there since we all lived in Spain together, and it was a fantastic experience! The service was outstanding. That was really a standout part of the night. Food was great; authentic enough & I’ll definitely be back!
