The food here is always amazing. So happy to find it because I am a vegan, now. And we enjoyed the rice dish and the vegan crabcake dish.
Always very delicious. The soups are especially wonderful, Indonesian roll my friend loves the spicy roll, and I tried the soybean roll... Tried the massiman curry which was really good.
Great place
Thank you for being an amazing gem! Fresh and delicious, creative, vegan and vegetarian food! We enjoyed everything we had so much!!!
We had the mango sticky rice, and the vegan cheesecake, which were to die for! Wow!
We had the Indonesian and the spicy dumplings, we had both soups, and we mixed a little together, and we had the Phylo pastry mushrooms and cashew sauce that was absolutely amazing with braised kale and fresh mashed potato! Heavenly! So grateful that you have choices without peppers as I am allergic... So grateful for vegan food at a fabulous restaurant! I'm in heaven!
Food is delicious, especially the squash soup! Service is friendly and efficient. Great place for a very reasonably priced lunch. Good for dinner too.
A most amazing vegan restaurant!! I highly recommend both soups the Tom Yum, but especially the butternut squash coconut soup. The avocado and mango mix green salad was amazing and so was the Indonesian spring roll with cilantro avocado dipping sauce, and the seitan in tamarind sauce with rice cake and wild carrots. For dessert, the vegan sweet potato and coconut custard, with fresh berries! Yum!
My friend said it is his favorite dessert in all of his life!
The experience was good. It was not too crowded, a very small place. The server was attentive. The food was delicious.
The food was delicious, very creative, and attractively presented. The price was quite reasonable also. We highly recommend this gem in our neighborhood.
We didn't know that at the time we went, only the brunch menu was available. I was disappointed at first, but there were so many delicious choices, it was hard to select one. The dish that I got & my friend got were DELICIOUS!! Am going to bring my husband & daughter.
The food was very good. We will be returning to try other soups and entrees.
Excellent menue choices and presentation of food. Great experience with good service, and will definitely come again
Third time eating dinner at Mi Lah. The food and service is consistently excellent.
I was excited to try this restaurant, but to be honest I thought it was just OK. The service was mostly good although when we needed someone it took a while to get a server. Food was just fair and unmemorable. It was a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. There are much better vegan options in the city.
I've been wanting to try this place for several years and finally made it!! We had a tough time narrowing down our order bc everything on the menu sounded unique and delicious. My friend and I both loved the squash soup, the spicy dumplings and the African peanut stew. I was so excited when the waitress told us the soup of the day was a vegan french onion (this is one of my biggest misses from my meat-eatting days)- but I was a little disappointed as it wasn't a great substitute for the original. And the mushroom filo we could have lived without. It was a nice ambiance inside, and the staff were all very sweet and accomodating. I was overall happy and can't wait to go back to try more menu items!
overall good experience. print on the menu a little larger.
Went on a date and had a great time! All vegan menu, also gluten free. We had the spicy dumplings and ravioli as appetizers. My date had Brazilian Feijoada and I had African Peanut Stew, plus we had sweet potato custard for dessert. Everything was delicious, served promptly, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!
I always enjoy going to Mi Lah with the friendly staff and diverse menu. I was disappointed on this last visit when I saw their revised menu and they removed two of my favorite items - grilled romaine salad and cassava white bean cake appetizers. Those were excellent and I always ordered one or both at every visit.
This was our 2nd visit to Mi Lah in the last month. We had just as good a dining experience this time as last. This time we went with 3 other people who also liked it a lot. None of us are vegetarians, but we all loved the menu options. The Butternut Squash Soup gets 5 stars again. This time I tried the Pad See-Ew (Stir fired broad rice noodle with tofu, egg, soy protein, broccoli and carrots) for my main dish. It was awesome! Two of my dining companions had the Pad Thai and liked it a lot. The mango sorbet for dessert was the perfect end to the meal. THis restaurant is BYOB, which we also prefer. Service was fine and we were not rushed at all. We will definitely keep coming back!
Mi Lah does not disappoint. I am a vegan and usually dine with my non-vegan friends/family. The atmosphere is calming and quiet. The service was friendly, efficient and informative. There is a large variety of dishes to choose from. The biggest problem I have is deciding which to try. I did try the African Peanut Stew (my dining companion's food) and also tried the Potato Cashew gratin (my choice). Both were an excellent blend of flavors. What I have found is that most places that do "vegan" spice the food too much, so you can't taste anything else. Here at MiLah, even the peanut stew was spiced, but just had a light zing not an overpowering spice of Curry, so you could enjoy the tastes of the vegetables and rice. The Potato Cashew gratin was wonderful with a nice blend of textures. There are a combination of booths and 2 and 4 top tables so with a reservation they can accommodate a larger group. Desserts were very good as well. It was a wonderful place to have dinner. (Friday eve about 530pm)
Great food! Although we are not vegetarians, nor vegan, the entire menu here is, and we and our friends enjoyed everything! Highly recommend the butternut squash soup in particular. We shared 3 appetizers and 2 entrees and all of us were delighted. Restaurant is BYOB - always a plus. Prices were extremely fair. Restaurant is in a small strip mall with plenty of parking as well.
We will go back!
Honestly, the only complaint I have about Mi Lah is that it's not in my neighborhood, and I can't eat there all day, every day. I'm veggie, but no one else in my party was, and we all ate until we couldn't move. It was *that* good. Add to that, the service was outstanding, and it's a BYOB - which I prefer - so the price for dinner was really quite reasonable.
Service needs a little help. One waitress for the while restaurant. The food is outstanding. They've really got something special here. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food.
The food is fantastic and fun vegetarian! So creative!! It’s not fancy and ambience is limited. BYOB and great value!!
The service was quick when we arrived. We got our drinks and appetizers immediately, followed by the food. I asked about a substitution on one of the items, but was not allowed or offered the ability to switch. Once we were done, no one ever came back to offer us refills or dessert. After 35 minutes of trying to get a response, we asked for the check and had to go up to the cash register to pay.
Wow! My husband and I were really impressed with the food! We were not expecting the food to be as good as it was. We drove an hour to get there and will definitely make the trip again. Totally worth the drive!
A neighborhood gem! We were a group of 4 adults--2 of whom are picky eaters. Everyone enjoyed their meals--special hits were the butternut squash soup, the spring roll and the Pad Thai. The ambience was lovely and quite conducive to conversation. We will be back!
Great, great food at Milah, we've been here many times and have sampled the majority of their menu. The menu is vegetarian/vegan but I do think ANYONE would really enjoy the menu! Great service and nice, low-key atmosphere.
Lots pf appealing appetizers! If I go again, I'd make a meal of them. Entrees somewhat less appealing. Atmosphere and service were both excellent.
Another splendid dining experience. We enjoyed every dish. The presentations were exceptional!
Exceptional quality and variety for vegetarian diners -- for which there are remarkably few options in the region. I needed a place between Bucks and Chester Counties to meet other people who are also mainly vegetarians and did not want a place where we could order something from the menu "without the..." It's really one of the few places where vegetarians will have a hard time making a decision! As it happened, we all chose at brunch the Indonesian breakfast and enjoyed every aspect of the tofu, seitan, fritters and soup... The young lady who served us appeared to be the only FOH staff and handled hosting and serving numerous tables simultaneously with calm cheerfulness -- answering questions and providing service in a warm and efficient manner. A must!!!!
This restaurant is wonderful!! I live in Boston but arrange to eat here every time I'm in the Philadelphia area. The dishes are all delicious and creative. The spice blends are unique and tasty. The portions are large, so it's a good value. The service is excellent. My dad, a meat & potatoes guy, also loves this restaurant. All of the food is very fresh and beautifully plated. My only wish is that they would open a branch in Boston! I give this restaurant 10+ stars!
This was my second visit in 5 days.
The staff is friendly, and the food is great. Parking was readily available.
Staff are friendly, attentive and personable. Service timely.
Food is consistently high quality. Excellent selection of appetizers and entree's.
Great for special occasions and large parties.
I enjoyed our meal (brunch) at MiLah. I do wish they relied less on meat substitutes. I really enjoy meatless meals and do not need the imitation meat flavor
This is my new favorite restaurant. Everything I have had here has been amazing and even my mother who is very picky and never finds anything to eat at vegeterian restaurants loves it here.
I could eat here everyday! Love the variety of foods and everything is delicious!
We were so pleasantly surprised to find a vegan vegetarian restaurant that we could actually dress up and have a wonderful celebration meal! Thank you so much!! We ate two soups, two salads, two appetizers, and two entrées, just to have a nice taste for the food there. Cauliflower soup was fabulous and so was the butternut squash and coconut soup. I really enjoyed the Vietnamese summer roll. And the grilled seitan, with carrots and vegetables. Thank you Mi Lah! Next time we will have to try the vegan cheesecake!
The service is splendid and the food phenomenol. Every dish we've tried here has been fantastic with complex flavors and textures. Gorgeous presentation. And we love that it's a BYOB
Great place to go for a relaxed, delicious meal! Excellent service!
service is what gave this place an extra star. food presentation not so much but the food itself was tasty. menu is all over place and not many vegetables for a vegan spot. i would go again.
