Met for business lunch and enjoyed it thoroughly! Place was packed with people and it was delicious. Had street tacos and they were very good and seemed authentic.

Loved the booth seats near courtyard windows.
Was pleasantly surprised by the treat at the end of the meal for the person whose birthday we were celebrating that evening. The free sopapillas did not cost the restaurant much ... but the giving of this dessert and its presentation did a great deal to boost the customer's positive response to and appreciation for the effort by the restaurant.

The place very pretty and decor was very upscale, but the server was rude as if they were doing us a favor. From the front desk to the waitress. It went like this; 1) Walked in -No response from the greeter I had to say how many to dine. 2) A person grabbed menus and walked away, we had to follow like puppy dogs. 3) Menus are placed on table; no verbal...We sit, Open menus. 4) Waitress comes over; "you ready to order? - gets an attitude when we need some time. Acted like she had better things to do. Maybe she was relative to the owner. Will not go back.

Mi DIa is a very hot spot and I enjoy it every time. Last week I had a business lunch and made a reservation, because I know they are very busy for lunch. Unfortunately, even with the reservation we had to wait 20 minutes, which was embarrassing for me, as I was meeting important customers. To make matters worse, the waiting area can only fit about 3 people, so we had to stand in front of some other customers' table, which I am sure was not pleasant for them.
Everything else about the restaurant is great - food is excellent, prices are just right, service is impeccable.

The BEST Mexican food I have had in the DFW area. The Santa Fe portion on the menu is delicious - the chiles they use are legit and it's better than some of the red and green chiles I have had in New Mexico.

Went for Sunday lunch with friends. The Guacamole was great. the enchiladas and fajitas were good. Service was good .Nothing spectacular here

From the first taste of the fresh and unique salsas, the quality and attitude of the food at Mi Dia from scratch is pronounced. The menu is an expedition that takes you from Texas to Santa Fe and into the interior of Old Mexico with ingredients like chayote, mole, and duck. We were glad we took the server's suggestion, "We have terrific TexMex, but you can get that anywhere. Try something from the rest of the menu."

From the food to the service to the environment, we were totally taken with Mi Dia from scratch, and are looking forward to trying more new flavors on our next visit.

I entertained a couple of my hotel partners over lunch the other day and had a terrific waitress who provided fun and flawless service. The food was fresh and full of flavor from crisp vegetables in the salad and smokey flavor in the tortilla soup it was all splendid.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Dallas! The tableside guacamole is amazing. I ordered the duck tacos and Sea bass best tacos and both were excellent. Great for lunch or dinner. I will come here again!

I tried to get a vodka cocktail and there was some concern with the waiter that I might not be able to get it. I was granted "an exception" so I will have to keep this in mind next time. I just dont drink tequila right now! Love the salsa, love the chips, love the chicken tinga tacos. Tableside guac is great too but a little pricey.

Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. Their unique dishes are more trendy than Mexican, but still delicious nonetheless. The atmosphere is very nice during lunch. Lots of natural light in the restaurant.

My title, that isn't being cute. The guacamole at Mi Dia from Scratch is the best anywhere I've ever been and that is a lot of places across the globe. They prepare table side on a little trolley with loads of add-ins for you to choose from. My recommendation - if nothing else, add bacon. Everything on the menu is terrific including the chili relleno, duck tacos and stacked enchiladas. Is three times in one week too much?

Beautiful Restaurant; margaritas, guacamole, and corn appetizer were great. Tacos Al Carbon were mediocre. That's where it ends. Ribs were flavorless. Ox eye casserole had a sauce that was not good.

After hearing some great reviews of this restaurant we gave it a try on a Saturday afternoon for lunch - as we know this place gets quite crowded for weekend dinners. The margaritas are phenomenal! I tried the pineapple infused tequila margarita which was excellent. Not too sweet and not too much tequila, but not weak either. Try the table side guacamole with bacon. Awesome. The food was really well prepared with great flavor. We were stuffed by the time the meal was over.

If you are flying into DFW and have a car available and want a really great TexMex meal (with New Mexico overtones.... Hatch Chilies to start) then head to Main Street Grapevine and Mi Dia From Scratch.... its just off the highway and easy to find... and be sure to have the guacamole cart! you won't be disappointed

I found this restaurant last minute, so we took a small group there for lunch. The service was very good and all the wait staff came by with a smile. The tableside guac service is awesome!! The tortilla soup was a little more like a chip stew, but the flavors were good. The tacos were super tasty. We'd go again if we lived in town!

The pork tacos and tortilla soup were the perfect lunch combination......everything was so fresh and well made and presented, it was a real delight. Our table was ready, the service was quick and knowledgeable and we were in and out in an hour. Great lunch getaway. I will definitely do it again.

We live in Richardson, but we'll make the drive out to Grapevine for this gem.
The salsa is great-- a mix of a few varieties in one bowl, very inventive. Table side guacamole is delicious. They use serrano peppers instead of jalapeno; the heat is addictive. :)
You won't be disappointed in the menu- I highly recommend the beef fajitas.
We never manage to save enough room for dessert, but maybe we'll try it out on our next visit.
As for the margaritas- I'd suggest house; the difference of the upper-tier options aren't worthy of the extra cost, in my opinion. They make a mean house marg.
Reservations highly suggested for weekend dinner.
