DO NOT GO HERE - this place is a disaster. We were seated, given chips and salsa but no water. After 15 mins we had to flag someone down because we were so thirsty. We ordered a margarita, wine and our dinners. After 30 mins the margarita came but not the wine. They said they lost their wine opener. The food came but I ordered steak tacos, I was given chicken. I told the waiter I ordered steak and he just walked away and never came back. The same things were happening to 3 tables around us. One couple waited over an hour for their food, a father and son never got their food. People were flagging down the hostesses for water. It was crazy. I never got my steak taco.

Tex-Mex restaurant. The food was ok nothing to brag about. It came out hot from the kitchen. The service wasn’t that great, sensed a little bit of passive aggressiveness.

Love all the Mi Cocina restaurants in Dallas and a good Mambo Taxi, but am sorry to say we are done with the Tulsa location. We were seated in the bar area on 5/3. Our server, Amelia, was the only positive. She was grace under pressure, and let us know early on us that the kitchen was way behind. We were okay with this. But, nearly two hours later, we received cold food. The attitude and service from the female bartender throughout our visit was horrendous. She was unprofessional, delivering incorrect drink orders and a snarky attitude when requesting corrections which she was intentionally slow in fixing. The manager did comp our food bill, which was appreciated, along with Amelia’s transparency. But this did not make up for the attitude of the bartender and disfunctional food staff. To anyone considering eating here, try somewhere else!

This was our first, and last, visit to Mi Cocinia. We recently moved to Tulsa from Georgia and wanted to go to a good, authentic Mexican restaurant and didn’t know where to go so we picked this place. Over priced and bland food. We paid $38 for ribeye fajitas for myself and it was enough steak for about two fajitas and the fatty meat laid on top of a big pile of onions with two little pieces of green pepper. NO FLAVOR at all! Not even a hint of salt. Nothing! It was awful. I asked for sour cream when I placed my order and of course it came out without it. The waitress said she’d go get it and kept walking by our table saying “I’m getting it” which she did, 15min later when my food was cold. My husband ordered poblano chicken enchiladas and I could tell by looking at it that it wasn’t going to be good and he said it was bad when he took his first bite. My husband always leaves a clean plate and eats everything and he just couldn’t eat it. The only thing that we liked was the chips and salsa and the rest was bad so this place is a big fat NO for us! There’s a ton of Mexican restaurants in Tulsa so we will do our homework and find another one to try. We wasted $75, including a tip, on this dinner date. That doesn’t sit well with me. We’re the type that will spend $300+ for great dinner at a nice restaurant and not blink an eye but I’ll lose sleep over spending $75 on bad food or service. Find another place to go folks!!

My wife and I decided to go here for our anniversary. I made a reservation on open table 3-4 weeks in advance. Now let me get this straight - the back of the house was phenomenal. Everything came out of the kitchen beautiful, in good timing and was all delicious! If you decide to go order the GULF SHRIMP CEVICHE appetizer - it is amazing! The front of the house is where it all needs improvement. Again - made a reservation for 2 and they seat us in the bar area after walking us through a more elegant dining room, without even asking the customary "is the bar ok?"... We had two waitresses(assuming because of where we were seated). They were ok, but one asked us if we were ready to order after we'd already ordered with the other. So - lack of communication- but could have been eliminated by just having one waitress staff responsible. Then comes time to leave. We waited a LONG time just to get the check, then it took so long for them to come back and take my money, I got tired of waiting and took my ticket and card to the bar to pay. If the front of the house could duplicate the back....5 stars EASY!!!!
